Sausalito Bay Views and Mid-Century Chic - 12 minutes to SF
Our condo is high in the Sausalito hills with gorgeous views through the trees to the Bay. We like to sit and watch the boats from the balcony and see sunrise across the water as we wake up each morning. The hikers' paradise of Golden Gate National Recreation Area is just behind us, and you can access a trail from our street or drive a few minutes to a vast network of Marin trails. Walk/drive down the hill to eat in one of Sausalito's waterfront restaurants. Best of all we are only 12 minutes to SF by car, ferry or public bus.
We have maximized our space for style and comfort for 2 adults who work at home. Our second bedroom is used as a dedicated office, with a twin-sized daybed for occasional guests (or naps). Amenities include:

- fully equipped office with high speed Wifi (1,000 Mbps)

- additional pull-out desk workspace in the living room

In keeping with Sausalito minimum-stay regulations, we only rent our home for 30+ days. Open to longer-term stays (up to 9 months).
Pets considered with higher deposit/nightly fee.
Accessibility: Interior stairs (carpeted) between living/dining/kitchen area and bedroom/office/bathroom floor. No stairs between parking and front door.
We are longtime hosts of a 5-star property in northwestern CT (rented for the academic year). We opened our new Sausalito home to guests in 2022 when we started traveling more seriously, and have had wonderful, respectful tenants, several of whom have been repeat guests. This spring we moved next door (which is also for rent for a few months each year--ask about a combined rental). If we are out of town, we have a local property manager who will be available for anything that comes up. A reliable housekeeper is on call if you desire cleaning during your stay. We will do our best to make you feel completely at home!

We returned to the Bay Area after 20+ years on the East Coast as a media executive and author. We have lived on the SF Peninsula, the East Bay, SF and northern Marin county and are thrilled to be at home in Sausalito, a great town for walking and eating and close to our favorite hiking trails while still being just minutes to SF.
We recently purchased the apartment next door and are now using this apartment as a place for family and friends and as a rental. We also own a property in the Berkshires, so we rent our houses seasonally and whenever we travel. We have always liked sharing our homes and strive to create spaces that people (including us!) want to come back to.

Quiet, elegant, beautifully furnished space with gorgeous views from both levels. Feels like you are high up a hill in Portofino. Quick drive (or walk if you don't mind steep hills) to dozens of world-class restaurants in downtown Sausalito. Take the ferry to SF, hike the GGNRA (right behind us), or zip over the Golden Gate Bridge to SF -- literally everything to love about the Bay Area is right here. There is also a regular SF bus service (#130) at the bottom of our hill.
