The host was responsive through all the conversations we had during the power outage from Hurricane Lala. There is a solar and battery backup system that kicked in and supplied power to the house. House was comfortable and plenty of room for us. I recommend renting this house when visiting Volcano.

Condo was clean and updated. A few spots on the couches but overall great. It was withing walking distance of the beach and the beach chairs, cooler and towels were a nice touch (the straps on one chair is broken). Enjoyed staying at the facility.

Great overall!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of 5 had a nice time here. It very roomy and a great location. Only 15 min drive to Volcano National Park and 40 min to Hilo. You'll have all that you need at Dancing Fern. The only thing you may need is a sleep mask, since there are no blackout curtains and the sun likes to rise early. Our contact was great and very responsive. Overall this is your place if you're visiting this side of the Big Island.

Dancing Ferns was an escape from the hustle of the Kona side! It was a serene and quiet property about 10 minutes away from Volcanoes National Park, which was a major plus for us and why we chose it. The house was large and exactly as pictured. Would stay again!

Perfect Stay

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Dancing Ferns. The property is incredibly comfortable and has all the amenities you could ask for. It was an amazing stay with such easy access to Volcano National Park.

Clean, comfortable getaway

The property was just as described. It's located just the right distance from Volcano Park. This was probably the cleanest rental we have ever stayed in.

Prime location, unique destination

We stayed two nights here and loved it! The house is beautiful and spacious, and we loved the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere, but being so close to Volcanoes National Park. Everything in the house was perfect, and the hosts were very responsive. Would love to stay here again.

Two family volcano excursion

This house was perfect for our stay in Volcano to explore Volcano National Park. I loved the quiet setting, the cleanliness of the house, the cooking amenities available, and the contact with the owner. I would definitely stay again.

Our Hawai’i Trip

We had a wonderful stay at this home. It was well appointed and clean. A nice quiet neighborhood and in very close proximity to Volcano National Park. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a stay in this area of the island.

Nice house, comfortable beds, user friendly kitchen. Heat was inadequate, especially the first night (electricity was off on the fireplace side of the living room, so modem was out as well; that issue was resolved the next morning when the local contact gave us access to the garage breaker box). Very high ceilings made it very difficult to keep the living area warm, and it was a rainy cold time in the Volcano area. Location is reasonably close to the Park, but a bit challenging to find after dark (as we were warned) and the access road is quite rough.

Peaceful Haven

Great place if you want to be close to Volcano National Park. We enjoyed our stay. Outside patio was nice and peaceful to have meals. Plenty of space for our family to spread out. Kitchen with great supplies and laundry W/D convenient. We would stay again!
