Hale Mauna Loa offers the complete Hawaiian volcano experience. The home is tucked cozily in a very private corner of lush tropical rainforest in Mauna Loa Estates. Located just a minute from the quaint selection of restaurants and stores of Volcano Village, and just a four-minute drive from Volcanoes National Park, Hale Mauna Loa offers the perfect balance between a relaxing getaway and home base for your adventures.
This listing is for the upper level which features a large covered deck complete with fire pit and propane grill. The comfortable country style appointments will have you feeling right at home after a long day of adventures. Warm up by the fireplace if it gets a bit chilly, at approximately 4,000 ft elevation you’ll be glad to know it’s there if you need it. This 3 bedroom 2 bath sleeps up to six people, with a full kitchen and 2 bathrooms the upper level may be better suited for larger parties or those who prefer to do their own cooking.
The hot tub overlooking the garden is the perfect spot to relax after a long day in the park. Please note that the hot tub is a cummunal space and is shared.
Please note that the homeowners live quietly on site. Each level has its own key combination for your privacy and security.

We had a wonderful stay here and thoroughly enjoyed the big patio! It was very close to the national park and easy to find. Hosts were friendly and on site.

Convenient location for visiting Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park and the space was reasonably clean. The property is a shared home, which may not suit every traveler's preferences. We did experience some issues with hot water during our stay, but it served its purpose for a one-night stopover. Thank you to the hosts for providing accommodations.

The host and support staff were very welcoming. The space is quite charming. We loved the fire pit on the deck, use of the hot tub, and the fireplace inside.

This is the most fabulous little hideaway so convenient to volcano national Park literally 10 minutes from volcano House restaurants. Beautiful grounds well equipped three bedroom, large family, living area and deck. Very nice place.

Everything was great. Couldn't have asked for more. The stay was everything we could imagine. The place had great environment. Enjoyed conversations and peace there. The place was clean and had everything. Very happy with the stay and was sad to leave. Highly recommend.

What a wonderful experience! We only stayed for one night, but we wish it could have been longer. Communication was great and always prompt and detailed. Our hosts were just lovely and friendly! The home was like staying in a tree house. I loved the deck and fire pit. We stayed out there listening to the rain until we couldn’t keep our eyes open. Our kids slept like logs and our bed was so comfortable. The best night sleep I’ve had on our trip. The home had everything we needed and then some. I hope we can come back very soon to Volcano and this home. Thank you again for a lovely stay.

I loved how close to the national park this place was. I also loved that it could fit my family of 6.

Very nice place close to Hawaii Volcano National Park.
Comfortable place tho retreat to after visiting the park. Well stocked with the needs of home. Great stay.

Simple accommodation for beautiful volcano trip
Simply furnished and adequate. Very close to the volcano with a beautiful lanai. Would stay again!

Bud was very welcoming and friendly. Great location and rainforest setting. Bed linens and towels clean but very worn. Carpet stained and needs cleaned/replaced.No dishwasher and furniture was tired. Outside areas cluttered.

Beautiful location, with Bob the host meeting us and introducing the accommodation. An oasis in the rain forest, perfect for what we were looking for. Everything you need is provided, and the hot tub topped it, listening to the coqui frogs! Recommended, thank you Bob!
