Historic home Elmwood Village upper flat

This home is bright and light colorful and cozy. Short walk to the Elmwood Village restaurants and shops. This is a historic home with eclectic decor. This is a large home with period moldings and large windows. Steam heat, it's cozy in the winter!
This is our second home and has an arty vibe. We use it fairly regularly so it is more like a home than a standard vacation rental. There are spices and condiments in the refrigerator and canned goods and things like oatmeal and rice in the cupboards. Use whatever you like. (or not lol).

This home is not renovated and modern. The house is 130 years old and the apartment has not been updated since the 80's. The appliances are older and there are not new countertops etc. If sleek and high tech finishes are what you want, this is not for you. The heat is steam radiators and there is only window unit A/C in the bedrooms from June - October. All the windows work and there are screens and lots of fans. It's in the middle of a fabulous neighborhood and is priced accordingly.

Enjoyed our stay. Very walkable location

We had a great stay with our adult daughter for the Buffalo Marathon weekend. This was a great location with several restaurants in walking distance and also beautiful neighborhoods and parks for walking out dog.

Cozy stay

Cozy and quirky apartment with everything you need. Driveway is narrow but plenty of street parking right out front. We enjoyed our stay!

Nostalgic return to Buffalo

The property is very comfortable, decorated in a very funky style that suited us fine. We grew up in the neighborhood so we enjoyed visiting old haunts!

Best trip ever!

This place was amazing! Every time we looked around we saw something new. It was very close to everything, the park, art museum, and restaurants. The hosts were quick to answer any questions and arriving was simple. We will definitely be coming again!

Graduation at Buffalo State

This was a great location for our visit to Buffalo - within walking distance of Buffalo State University. The unit is spacious and quirky - lots of fun pieces of furniture and Knick-knacks throughout to enjoy! Beds were comfortable and we found most everything we needed for our stay.

Lots of room in a Great Location!

Just as described! Lots of space to spread out and relax. Loved the 2nd floor porch and there was everything we needed in the kitchen. Directions were so clear and communication was excellent. Easy to park and such a good location in the Elmwood Village!

Great spot

Communication with the owner was great. The location is very close to Canisus and it’s a really cool spot on the upper floor of a two family house. Plenty of room for two or three people. Coffee maker in kitchen was great.

I gave this older one-level upper flat a 5 star rating based on price. Parking was available, but involved a narrow passage between two houses. The backyard parking area could be better, vegetation trimmed etc. Everything else was fine, though eclectic and dated. Heat was powerful and kitchen was good. TV works well.

Good location

Nice place to stay. Rental car did not fit in alley to get to parking behind house but street parking was never a problem. Had everything we needed to be comfortable and feel at home. Could use a dusting.

Great location; homey & eclectic

We visited primarily to see the newly renovated Buffalo AKG and this apartment was ideally located. It’s a lovely historical neighborhood. The apartment was fully equipped and the beds were comfortable. It has a lived-in feeling that made it homey and somewhat unusual for a short-term rental in my experience. I’d definitely stay there again as it was great value.

Great owner, location, and unit

Owner was very helpful througout, including walking us through trouble (our fault, as it turned out) getting in. Location is fabulous - less than a half block from a section of Elmwood filled with restaurants, bars, coffee shops, an independent bookstore, and much more. Unit was comfortable and roomy (whole floor, includingblacony), looked just as advertised.

The property was great. The property manager was easy to work with. Never received the new listing discount from VRBO as promised.

Lovely month long stay

The property was nice, clean and well provisioned. Old construction but everything functioned well. The property owner was immediately responsive to every query. The neighbourhood is great with a variety of restaurants and stores within walking distance. The bus stops right in front of the house which was very convenient. Overall, I take away beautiful memories from the month long stay here
