Welcome To Whispering Palms where our tropical breezes will lull you into a tropical state of mind while you enjoy a gorgeous view of Buck Island National Park; surrounded by the turquoise blue Caribbean Sea. Located on the north shore of the east end of St. Croix, Whispering Palms is in a world unto itself. If privacy is what your group is looking for you will find it with this six-bedroom home situated on the side of a hill with plenty of space both inside and outside.

With double balconies overlooking an inviting outdoor swimming pool with ample dining tables and chairs on both levels along with corn hole boards outdoor grill and huge front lawn (great for the kids) . In addition to the six bedrooms, Whispering Palms has two full, spacious kitchens and two laundry rooms. With trhee bathrooms you won’t have any trouble getting everyone ready for a night on the town or a movie on the big screen TV.

Whether you are travelling with children, friends or neighbors, you are certain to find a place for everyone at Whispering Palms on beautiful St. Croix. The house is well equipped with all your beach needs included towels, beach toys for kids, cooler, life jackets for both adults and children and a limited selection of snorkel gear. The views were amazing but the beds were not that comfortable. The bed downstairs had bed bugs. The pool wasn’t clean and the house was hot even with AC.

Pros/Cons

Pros: The house was very spacious. Great location with a nice view, very private. One problem with the water, fixed very quickly. Cons: First floor bathroom did not work, so only one bathroom. Pool was very cloudy, could not see the kids when they dived under. Pool did not have any service all week, water level dropped below skimmer, owner notified three times. Trash was not picked up all week. So a rating of 6-7.

Family Vacation 2025

Amazing view, friendly animals next door, great communication. Also, it is a must to add in Mike's Catamaran (Sandy Toes sailing) to top it all off. Mike does a great job with taking us around on the Catamaran. The restaurant right down the hill, KD,s is a great place for adults and kids.

Great and accommodating for a big party

We had 11 people it slept and housed us comfortably.The pros of this location. The upper unit was remodeled, spacious, clean and airy. The upper balcony gave great views and ocean breeze. The driveway goes to the door directly connecting to the top level which was very convenient. Appliances, kitchen and bathrooms were well working, clean and had good hot water. The pool was a great perk and had a nice vacuum that kept the bottom and walls clean, we enjoyed it. There was a gas grill on site and filled with propane, it was very convenient for us. The owner responded with in reasonable time which was helpful when we had questions. The house was stocked well with towels and basic amenites. The cons,The location is very deceiving in the fact that we were directly next to a farm with barking dogs and goats making noise regularly. The drive to the property is very rugged once off the main road and an almost vertical hill to get to parking/doors. Also without any notification we arrived to one full bathroom locked and unusable in the lower unit. The owner claimed the previous renters blocked the sewage line days before we arrived. Also no partial reimbursement being it was a major inconvenience for 5-6 people to share the smaller bathroom. The lower level is not remodeled and has definitely been used thoroughly, appliances included. The pool filter did not work. All in all the place was enjoyable and workedfor 11 ppl.

Perfect Stay in Paradise!

Perfect Stay in Paradise!Whispering Palms was everything we hoped for and more! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning views of Buck Island and the sparkling turquoise waters of the Caribbean. The house was impeccably clean, spacious, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.Our family had plenty of space to spread out, whether lounging on the double balconies, splashing in the beautiful pool, or enjoying meals together at the outdoor dining areas. The two full kitchens made cooking a breeze, and having two laundry rooms was a huge plus. The kids loved playing in the huge front yard, and we all enjoyed games of cornhole in the afternoons.The location was private and peaceful, yet close enough to enjoy everything St. Croix has to offer. The beach gear provided was a fantastic touch!The hosts were incredibly accommodating and responsive, ensuring we had everything we needed to make our trip perfect. If you're looking for a dream getaway for a large group or family, look no further—Whispering Palms is the place to be! We can’t wait to come back!

Family Vacation

So glad we found this property! Beautiful views all day, pool, deck, grill and plenty of space. Loved that the property was out of town and a short drive to town or point udall. Owner is extremely responsive and took care of all of our needs. Highly recommend!!

Great Spot

Location is secluded, nice ocean breeze with a view of Buck Island. Stay was great, house is clean and spacious with great amenities. I recommend this location for large groups planning to stay on the island.

Perfect view, great location!

Our stay at Estate Cotten Valley was fabulous. We were a combo of family/friends, 8 adults/one child. Mike was just a text away for any of our needs. The house set up was perfect. Everyone had their own bedroom/bath space and there are 2 floors, 2 living spaces and 2 kitchens. We did cook in quite a bit and had everything we needed. The view is so beautiful and we enjoyed the pool. The location is perfect, we traveled to 4 or 5 different beaches within a 30 minute radius for the variety of the area. Don't hesitate to stay here for your next vacation. You will love it.

Training trip to STX

We traveled to STX to practice at the St. Croix Yacht Club for our upcoming season. The house was awesome for our big group. The views are amazing. We did have difficulty finding the house on the first night when trying to navigate at night. (the phone didn’t send us the right way.) mike answered the phone and dropped us a pin to get us to the house. We used the grill for a BBQ one night.

A bit disappointed

One of the toilets downstairs overflowed, and we cleaned it up and then it did it again and requested it to be repaired. It was very smelly and was a lot of work to clean. Was told someone would come to repair it and they never did and asked twice. we have stayed on the island many times and this is the first experience that was disappointing. I would recommend other houses before this one.

Nice multi-family property to enjoy the Island

We had a multi-family reunion (8 people) and stayed at this property for a week. Pros: Split level with living, kitchen, bath, bedrooms located on both. Washer/dryer also on both levels so you could honestly have 2 separate families that share the pool. Internet was surprisingly good for basic stuff. Beds were very comfortable. A/C was good and strong, plus there are multiple ceiling fans. Pool was refreshing. The view was gorgeous from the living room looking right out to Buck Island. Lots of games, books, chairs and other amenities. We loved using the Ninja blender to make mango smoothies with fresh from the tree mangos. Communication with the property owner is best done via call/text rather than with VRBO message. Cons: There were a few minor issues. The pool lost about a foot of water after the first day or so. Not sure if it was due to the heat. One of the lower level showers had a shower curtain that didn't extend all the way, so that bathroom would flood when using the shower. Luckily there are 3 other so after that was discovered we just avoided that one. Some of the house fixtures could use a little TLC (honestly not a huge deal). Overall I would give this property a solid B+

Awesome Location

The property was amazing perfect for families , the layout made it super easy to separate the adults without children . We loved the sunrises from the dual balconies and the amazing view of buck island. The host was super attentive to any issues , we had none ! His food and beach recommendations was the icing on the cake !! Definitely recommend this property for large groups!!

Our St. Croix visit

Our family of 12 enjoyed our stay at your property for 8 nights. We did like the goat farm next door which provided an added plus to the outstanding view from the morning sun to the evening sunset. Top notch sunsets. We recommend giving your door sliders some attention so that they can open easily. Kitchen was stocked better than expected. Mike was most attentive when we had a few issues that needed attention. Quick to respond. Thank you for the spare bed which helped make 12 people more comfortable. A memorable vacation.

Perfect!

This lovely, spacious home was perfect for our large party of family and friends. The two levels of the home worked really well for our needs - our friends with the infant were able to have quiet downstairs when needed while the rest of our party could visit, swim, etc. Erin and Mike were more than helpful and accommodating. We highly recommend Mike’s gorgeous catamaran for a 1/2 day of sailing and snorkeling. (Sandy Toes Sailing.) Everything really exceeded our expectations.

Great place, some issues

Pros: kitchen well stocked, comfortable beds, beautiful view, plenty of space for entire family. Con: barking dogs next door. Quiet and sweet during the day, but barked all night. Came onto our porch during the night and barked. Tried to come in the house when we tried to shoo it away. Had to create a barrier with porch chairs. Sleep deprivation put a damper on the trip. The owners were responsive and communicated with the neighbors to try to solve the problem. Hopefully they can find a solution because they seem to truly care about their guests having a good experience and it’s an unfortunate problem to have!

beautiful house with a beautiful view - loved the neighborhood dog, Rocky, that came to visit at sundown every night -- recommend ear plugs if you want to sleep in due to the goats and dogs next door lol - DEF rent a car ahead of time and make restaurant reservations ahead of time -- plan to have groceries in house if you don't dine out as food delivery was a very long wait - home owners left very accommodating information

Great for Families!

Our family of 10 enjoyed our stay at Whispering Palms Villa. Located on the quiet east end of the island there was more than enough room for all of us. The house was clean and had the typical house hold supplies you would need for a week long visit. They also supplied you with everything you need to visit the many beaches St. Croix (towels, coolers, toys, snorkeling gear). We started every morning having coffee on the balcony looking out over the stunning view of Buck Island. Mike and Erin were courteous host and communicated before our trip with recommendations while visiting. During the trip they also communicated when they would be stopping by to check on the pool and/or grab trash. Our family was able to take advantage of their discount to sail with them for a day and were not disappointed. Would highly recommend if able. We would definitely stay again! Thanks for everything Mike and Erin!

Paradise

Spacious, beautiful views, large house that easily accommodates large groups . The house was stocked appropriately for large groups . Communication. With owners was excellent. Very clean when we got there. The beds were very comfortable. Absolutely loved the neighboring dog , that came to visit us every day . I have been to island a couple times and love the East end of island . Highly recommend this rental

Holiday Get Away

Our extended family of 11 had a wonderful time at Mike and Erin's house. Each level has 3 bedrooms / 2 baths, kitchen and living room. Add in the large balconies and there's plenty of room for a big group to stay together, but not be on top of each other. We had a couple of issues arise during our week long stay, but the hosts were very prompt to respond and remedy the situation. Thank you, Mike and Erin, for providing such a comfortable place for our holiday get away!

A Beautiful, Spacious, and Relaxing Rental

Booked for 4 nights for 6 adults (myself, my wife, and 4 members of our wedding party) during the week of our wedding. What can I say about our stay here? It was wonderful, and Mike and Erin were fantastic hosts. This home is truly beautiful, and among my favorite that I've stayed in through many visits to St. Croix. It's in a very convenient location that allows for a very short drive to a large number of the island's many wonderful places to visit. Additionally, the house is set back a short way from the road and nearby neighbors, which gives a fantastic sense of privacy. The fact that the house has two kitchens made it exceptionally easy to cook for our large group, and each floor felt spacious enough for our entire group to spend time together, though we spent the majority of our time on the deck or in the pool. We had one small hiccup getting the lock to the upstairs entrance to unlock at check-in, but Mike was exceptionally quick to respond to a message, and personally came down right away to make sure the lock was working correctly. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay, and we would absolutely recommend this beautiful house as a rental if you're visiting the island.

Perfect multi-family getaway!

There are not enough superlatives for this property. It was beautiful, quiet, comfortable, well-appointed and afforded everyone room and privacy, and space to eat and play games together. The pool was serviced daily, and any questions about local places or to-do items were easily asked of our hosts. This was the perfect spot for our group of 10!

Six years ago, I fell head over heels for St. Croix, and leaving was the last thing on my mind. Enchanted by this captivating island, I knew I had to make it a bigger part of my life. That's why I invested in a vacation home, spending holidays and summers here, dreaming of making it my permanent residence.

Before my St. Croix adventure, I spent twenty-six wonderful years as the owner and operator of Misty Mountain Camp Resort, a cherished camping spot nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Charlottesville, Virginia. But when the opportunity arose to call St. Croix home, I didn’t hesitate to sell my business and embrace this new chapter.

Nowadays, you’ll find me sailing the turquoise waters of the Caribbean on my Lagoon 450 sailing catamaran, soaking up the sun while hiking, lounging on the beach, exploring every corner of this beautiful island, and indulging in its incredible cuisine.

I’m truly passionate about St. Croix, and I can’t wait to share its magic with you. Get ready for an unforgettable vacation on this captivating island!
