If you love vibrant architecture, then you'll love Algiers Point. It's the second oldest neighborhood in New Orleans, minutes away from the French Quarter. Algiers Point offers delicious food, local bars with live music and much chiller vibes. Our charming loft is a private suite and offers a full stack kitchen, access to a spacious gated courtyard, and sleeps 3 to 4 people. You'll have access to 2 Schwinn bikes you can ride along the river and an outdoor tub to cool down in when you return.

Perfect spot for Nola trip

Great location and host! It was easy to get to the ferry to ride over for the festival and nice to be away from crowds when we wanted to go back. Best stocked place we have ever stayed at!!

Weekend Getaway

We came into New Orleans for the weekend. This property was clean, comfortable, and easy to get to different attractions around the city. I’d recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice place to stay.

Love the design, location and comfort.

I loved the outdoor amenities and the indoor set up. It was cozy and perfect for my weekend stay. Patrick was very communicative and helpful with my inquiries.

Amazing

The property was amazing and the host was amazing. Highly recommend this location if your going on a trip to New Orleans its a quiet beautiful area that gets you away from the hustle and bustle of the french quarter. Worth every penny and definitely would stay again.

Sweet Creole Cottage

Beautiful large, clean and comfortable space. Great host. Fascinating historic residential neighborhood with some great dining options. Loved taking the ferry every day over to the French Quarter and really loved leaving behind the madness of the city at the end of each day.

Great space

The "loft"/ studio is a great space. Its spacious and thoughtfully laid out. The private courtyard is nice too, especially after being in the city all day, it was nice to sit outside and decompress. It was also really quiet. Could hardly hear the fireworks inside. Highly recommend. The little cat that hangs around is chill too.

Very nice!

I enjoyed my stay here. It was clean and they thought about all the details. Coffee, extra pillows, shampoo, etc. The owner was responsive and kind.

Who Dats and Taylor

Patrick, Is a great host! Communication was perfect. This place is a hidden away gem. Easy access to town and one of the best breakfast spots is a walk down the street. This place was extremely clean and decorated perfectly. Thank you again. We can’t wait to return.

Fabulous birthday trip

The place was exactly what we needed for our week in New Orleans. Neighborhood is quiet, there are several restaurants and markets within walking distance. It’s a 15 minute walk to the ferry, which is really convenient for getting to the French Quarter. Nice, private, fenced-in yard. There were other people in a couple of the adjoining spaces but we never ran into them the entire time.

Working remotely from NOLA

I was looking for a spot close to my friend's house. The Palmetto was the perfect size and location for me. Loved the open space and kitchen! The bathroom was quite spacious! The owner was friendly and accommodating. My one suggestion is to open up the bedroom area a little bit so larger side tables and a table lamp could be added next to the bed.

Nice property

The house was clean and charming, neighborhood was eclectic and interesting. Owner was onsite. A few small issues could have been better. No matter what I set the thermostat on, the place was a bit too cold, and there were no washcloths. Other than those, the stay was great.

Cold Loft Space

The property was cute but it had a lot of issues. Poor heating, Wifi limited, personal items throughout the space from the owner or other guest, Friendly cat that would follow you in and out. The bathroom was freezing and steps were not legally built. Ice and snow on the steps.

Canceled the night before our scheduled stay

Patrick reached out to say something was up with the property and he couldn’t host us, with less than 24 hours’ notice. No apology, no explanation at all. I was left scrambling to find another place to rent for my birthday when everything was sold out already. My first awful experience with a Vrbo host.

Booking overlooked by owner :(

Our booking was overlooked and they put someone else in our place. Owner DID look for us another place to stay and booked it for us without any extra cost to us. Seemed sincerely apologetic about the situation. I believe the listing said “minutes from French quarter “ but that’s only during slow traffic otherwise there’s a very busy commute across a very busy bridge to get you back over to the quarter and market. The property did seem to look just like photos advertised. Communication before arrival was slim but once arrived he did work with us well.

The host canceled on check in

I booked this for 2 nights, 5 months in advance. The host confirmed and accepted payment. The day before arrival I still hadn't received check in instructions. I messaged him and was told "it was already booked". Yeah, by me. No answer. I texted his phone number and was told "no sorry that was a mistake. Actually a prior guest trashed the room and it's no longer available". He still hadn't canceled my reservation or refunded my money. I'm on a plane trying to book a hotel for when I land. The room was finally canceled and refunded at check in time. It was a major headache and stress for a very short weekend trip. I think he probably realized he could charge more for Jazzfest than he charged me when I booked in December. Uncommunicative. I don't trust or reccomend booking here. I stayed at a hotel instead. Thank god they didn't price gouge me for the last minute stay.

Good Location & Neighborhood

Overall, we would have rather stayed elsewhere, but it did have some positive qualities. Check-In was at 2 PM so we arrived about 2:15 PM. Upon arriving, the cleaning crew had just gotten there to prep for the next guest. No big deal, minor inconvenience. We were checked in by 3 PM. As we were trying to figure out the heat source, the owner appears through a back "storage closet." He repeatedly stated that it was just a back storage area and that no one would be in there, but it felt strange. Later that evening, we could hear a man carrying on with a phone conversation and we felt as if we didn't have the privacy here that one would expect. We also had zero heat source besides a 1500 watt space heater that is only sufficient for up to 150-200 SF. That being said, this is not a place to stay during the winter months. No central heat, nor sufficient heating for a space this large. Other than being uncomfortable with the lack of privacy and heating, the outside tub was a dismal. It was literally a bathtub stuck in the corner of the yard that was open for all to see. We expected it to be a private, closed off patio tub via the posted photos. It was not. When I spoke with the owner via VRBO messenger, his responses were always very short. A few days before we had arrived, I had messaged him asking for arrival instructions. His response was it's self check-in and gave me the code. If anything, we would have appreciated being told our check-in would be delayed.

The property has 3 separate units, Palmetto Loft is situated in the middle.
A bright, charming one bedroom loft that has been fully renovated. It has a brand new queen size bed and a full size daybed, the bed linens and pillows are hypoallergenic leaving you with a healthy, better night's sleep. The kitchen offers brand new appliances, including coffee maker, percolator, dinner and cookware sets.

It has a full bathroom that has everything you might need such as toothbrush, body wash, shampoo/conditioner and a hair dryer. You can also use the outdoor claw foot tub with an antique hand held shower if you want to soak while having a glass of wine.

You will have to enter through the spacious yard and the keys will be available in a lockbox next to the door. Our yard is full of beautiful tropical plants, an outdoor 6-person dining set, and a BBQ grill with bistro set that you can use.

A 5 min bike ride or a 15 min walk to the ferry that will take you straight to the Audubon Aquarium stop on Canal St. The neighborhood is quiet with easy street parking but the French Quarter and downtown convention center are minutes away with a $2.00 ferry ride or $7.00 24 hour transit pass. A walk or ride on the river levee offers unparalleled views of the French Quarter and downtown. Uber into the French Quarter costs $17
