I had noticed someone from 2023 had the same issues we had with the grill, the property, and hot tub looking the same as back in 2023 even though the owner claimed to have been there a week prior to our booking

Perfect place for us to stay and have our son, his family and dogs visit. We felt very comfortable and at ease. The property has seen some love. We liked that, made us feel like we were house-sitting. I especially enjoyed turning on the electric fireplace in the evenings.

Weekend getaway

Had a great stay! Perfect location for what we needed it for. The neighborhood is really cute and everyone is very friendly :) short drive to the beach and to local bars, would definitely recommend

EI Beach Vacation

My daughter and I have been coing to Emerald Isle for years, and love staying along Coastguard Road. This was our first visit to this property and we loved it! The house, the ameities, the neighborhood were wonderful!

Great place woth so many extras!

Loved the place and closeness to the park to walk our dogs. The owners included so many extras to make you feel at home! Definitely would recommend for pet loving family!

Spent 2 weeks with 4 adults and dog, overall great stay. Host is super good with communicating and the house has lots of amenities. Quiet hours are 9p-8a if I remember. There are some restrictions to pets, such as not being on furniture and the risk of noise complaints for excessive barking but if you travel with your pet often this is a nice place.

Good spot for a vacation with the family

We had a good time at the house. Spent two days at the west beach and walked through the park. Glad we hadn’t planned to kayak since the kayak launch was broken and not accessible.

Home in the woods

The house had everything we needed and more. Many little extras - snacks, bathing supplies, beach towels. It was a superb location for a lovely morning or evening walk in the woods and close to many amenities.

vacation at Emerald Isle

The house was clean and well stocked with linens and snacks which was great for kids. We did find ants in the house and a few roaches outside around the hot tub. Overall it was a good stay but not convenient for beach access unless you have a golf cart. There is public parking available about 5 miles down on the main strip.

Tucker’s First Beach Trip

This was the perfect spot for our dog Tucker’s first beach vacation! The house was located in a quiet neighborhood that allowed for daily walks which he enjoyed. The house was also very close to many restaurants, shops, and the beach. The house was the perfect place to come back and relax after a long day out in the sun. We can’t wait to come back!

Beach and Glamping

Nice home close to the beach. We rented a golf cart for the short trip back and forth, which in itself was fun. The back yard was awesome and everything needed to make the best of it was provided. Made pizzas with my granddaughters that turned out very ugly (LOL), but incredibly delicious wood fired! Cut through the back yard to a beautiful hiking/disk golf trail that is partially ADA. Really a family fun time!

Chatty Dolphin has a lot going for it: great location, excellent layout, clean house, comfy beds, plenty of towels, and a hot tub that worked perfectly. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils, spices, and basics, and bathrooms had shampoo, conditioner, and soap.Unfortunately, several amenities were unusable or difficult. The grill would not work despite multiple attempts. The master toilet struggled to flush even toilet paper, and the second was difficult as well. We wanted to enjoy the pizza oven, but were instructed to follow the house book, which we couldn’t find until ONE HOUR before departing at the end of our entire vacation. It was obscured behind the printer/paper. Something that important should be front and center. There is one TV, fine for us, but the universal remote didn’t work even with new batteries, and we spent about 1.5 hours troubleshooting. Some tiki torches didn’t work, and string lights shut off at 9pm.Most concerning, a bedroom ceiling fan was missing TWO blades and rocked wildly when switched on, a safety risk with children. Multiple operational cameras with audio also cover the outdoor/carport areas, including overlooking the hot tub.For cooks: no food storage containers, pans were in rough shape, and knives were basic. Reviews mentioned snacks, but we received none, though we saw snacks brought in for the next guests.Lots of potential, but we spent far too much vacation time troubleshooting and communicating advertised amenities.

All amenities were working outside of one bedroom ceiling fan, which guest was made aware of not to use while awaiting shipping and electrician. A large box fan was made available in this room in the interim. All bedroom ceiling fans have been replaced with new units as of 8/8/26. BBQ lighters are made available with the grilling tools, in the event the grill doesn’t auto-ignite, as common with beach properties and all outdoor grills. The toilet needed to be plunged during the last day of their 4-night stay. Plungers are available in the house. A plumber was offered for a same-day visit when guest messaged re sluggish flushing, however guest was not available to allow entry and was checking out next morning. Toilet was plunged after checkout. Multiple books in the house, as well as our messages of how to find information online/YouTube videos were made available to this guest for wood burning oven use. TV and remotes were tested by cleaner before and after this guest and found working. Tiki torches are solar, in a shaded wooded backyard. If some units don’t get enough sun, they won’t light up that night. Outdoor cameras are disclosed prior to booking, with clearly seen locations and signage on an unfenced property for trespassing and safety when the house is vacant. There is a camera NEAR the hot tub which faces the fire pit and wood burning oven in the backyard. Some food storage is provided, but not advertised as something offered. Cookware receives normal wear and tear from guest use. Food is not considered included as part of any booking on the platform for any rental location. Previously offered items in past years were removed to keep rates lower for guests this year. Unclear of check out referenced, as this guest did not leave the property for an additional 2 1/2 hours after check out.

Island Escape

The property offers sufficient space with ample room for a family of six, but many features need to be updated (appliances, bathrooms). As a pet friendly location, it would have been nice to have access to a broom or vacuum to clean up dog hair. The trees surrounding the house result in a significant amount of debris, spiders, and mosquitoes on the back porch.

Comfortable Getaway

The only thing that should be addressed is “Entertainment: TV”. There is neither cable nor satellite—our stay was during the ACC tournament! No games, books or movies and the weather, not controllable of course, was stormy all weekend. Guests should be alerted to bring their own entertainment! Everything else was wonderful— the house is clean, pretty, and very comfortable! We did enjoy our visit.

This additional service is being added for summer season, but was advertised as device-only, with HDMI cable provided for connecting personal devices like a tablet, smartphone or roku.
