We really enjoyed our stay! We spent 4 days with 2 families and at 1 point had 8 people and 3 dogs. Plenty of comfortable places to relax, spend time together and sleep. The spiral staircase being the only way to access 2 of the bedrooms was a little tight, but we made it work. It was clean and the heated pool and outdoor areas were very enjoyable. Excellent water pressure is worth noting! Location was very scenic and felt private. The host was responsive and check in/out was easy- we appreciated being allowed a later check out. Plenty of parking. We will likely stay again and definitely recommend to others!

Perfect vacation spot w family. House was roomy and comfy and a short walk to an amazing beach( probably nicest beach weve ever seen!) The caretaker came by and gave us his number and was easy to contact. Comfy for kids and pets ( we appreciate uncluttered houses)Great dining in the area, fun location.You can hear the ocean from the house and the backyard view is wonderful. Having a pool was a plus. Also great showers w lots of hot water!There wasnt much info w the house—how to get to the beach, how to use devices, what is expected for checkout -but that was the only notable thing. Otherwise a perfect vacation spot

Place was clean. Pool was awesome. Plenty of space for the 8 of us. Great communication with host! Sure, the house isn’t a new home, but it was more about our time together and being outside at the pool. We enjoyed ourselves very much. I would rent again!

The property is a rambling old Maine farm house on a huge piece of land. It is close enough to the beach that you can hear the breakers. It is extremely private. Only one neighbor can even bee seen and that is shielded by the vegetation.The pool is great. It was 82 degrees every day (ocean was a lot colder but it is Maine after all). We are three generation ranging from 4 to 71. With 3 baths and lots of bedrooms there was a lot of room to spread out. There is a screen porch as well as several decks to hang out on. Kitchen was well supplied with most everything you would need.This is our second year renting this property and a lot of improvements have been made. Great for a big family.

We had a wonderful time at this home; it was immaculate and well appointed. And it is so private and peaceful with wonderful views from every room. We had rented this home for an extended time during the off season 30 years ago and wanted to return to honor and remember those in our family who so enjoyed the house and who are no longer with us. So it was a small family gathering this time to recall the days when our family would enjoy lobster dinners, Bennett's Philly cheesesteak, breakfast at All Day Breakfast and time on Parson's Beach. Remembering those days, I highly recommend for your extended family. It is a special place.

Very quiet and peaceful location. A relatively short walk to a fantastic beach. Short drive to Wells or Kennebunkport.

We had a great stay overall at a beautiful location. There were some issues with maintenance of the property that I mentioned to the owner and cleaners, and they planned to address. The pool is spectacular, and the location fantastic. The house needs some TLC, but we enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful place filled with charm

We had a very nice stay in early summer. Very nice place with a ton of different rooms. A nice older place with lots of charm and unique nooks and crannies. Owner was very responsive when we had some very small issues. Pool was nice and location was wonderful! Would definitely stay again

This is a great property especially for a large family or group of friends. We had 3 generations spread out in the large property. The pool was a real plus. We spent half our time in the ocean and half in the pool. It is very private and very scenic.

Lovely spot!

Really beautiful and serene setting. The pool was amazing and a HUGE hit with the kids. Really comfortable house and the beach down the street is stunning!

Convenient to beautiful beach and the Kennebunks

Quirky but convenient home close to Kennebunk and Kennebunkport where we enjoyed kayaking, biking and whale watching with local tour groups. Beach was beautiful and the pool provided a nice alternative to the chilly and sometimes rough ocean.

Lovely house near the beach

We spent a wonderful week in the house. It is in a beautiful area of Maine--within a half-mile walk or drive from the beach. Everyone enjoyed the heated pool. The kitchen was well equipped for our group of 6. We are looking forward to coming back and staying at this house again.

Parson’s Beach Kennebunk

Location is amazing! Very private, secluded, and a lovely walk to a very private beach. Also close to Kennebunkport and a Ogunquit. Convenient to stores as well. House was spacious. We especially enjoyed all of the outdoor space. Screened porch is a nice bonus, and the pool was enjoyed by all.

Pretty spot

Easy access to beach . Love the heated pool. There is a house going up right next door so I would check with helen about that before booking. We only had one noisy day. Otherwise lovely stay

Perfect Family Spot

The house is the perfect size for a family. We had plenty of space and enjoyed the game room, heated pool and short distance to the beach. The property was beautiful (minus the construction next door). Definitely bring bug spray, due to the wet weather the mosquitos were everywhere! Thank you Helen for sharing your house! It was a wonderful family vacation!

Perfect Family Vacation!

My wife, four adult daughters, one son-in-law, one daughter’s boyfriend, and our 4-day-old first grandchild stayed at the Blue Heron last week while in Kennebunk to attend my niece‘s wedding, which took place on the beach a mere 5-minute walk from where we were staying. The house, its amenities, gorgeous views, and proximity to the beautiful private beach made for a perfect family vacation. Helen was an extremely gracious and responsive hostess who provided many great recommendations and historical tidbits about the house. I would highly recommend staying at this property. Our family had a FANTASTIC time!

Great location!

The highlight of this house is the location-It’s beautiful and close to beaches. The house is certainly different but very functional. We all agreed the beds are very comfy, having two kitchens was a treat, excellent washer dryer, dishwasher, and lots of outside spots to hang out. Helen is very easy to reach if you have questions or concerns. Some parts of house could use some TLC, but the location is a 10 plus.

Wonderful home- close to the beach- great pool too.

We had such a wonderful time at this house- very large enough for our party of 8 and has a great funky vibe. The pool is so relaxing, there are at least 5 separate decks to catch the sun and it is a short drive (with your own parking space) to a very private beach. Parsons beach is truly one of a kind- never crowded, very wide, especially at low tide, and quite enjoyable. We had the quintessential Maine experience with lobster rolls and enjoyed the quaint Kennebunkport town. We would definitely return as Helen was the perfect host. Thank you for a truly enjoyable vacation!!

The Farmhouse was enjoyable and very roomy

When driving there we came in the back way and found the front way later. Walking into the house was the stairway going upstairs. the kids loved it so they had the 2 rooms and and bath. the rest of the house was delightful and cozy and loved the view and the pool and the beach was not what we from the south are used to but it was relaxing. I reccomend this house for large families..

Most satisfying experience

We had an amazing time. Communication with the owner couldn’t have been better. The house was spacious and spread out which was perfect for our teenagers. The beds were very comfortable. The pool was so refreshing and at perfect temperatures every day thanks to the heater. The views from the property were so pretty and having the private beach close by was convenient for morning and evening walks. The house is less than 10 minutes from town which was perfect. We would definitely rent again!

Wonderful Maine Experience

The house was perfect for a group of five that ranged in ages from 8 to 83. The house has so many different rooms we hardly had time to explore them all. It offers the best of two worlds — a heated pool to swim and an amazing beach to explore. We rarely left the property but Kennebunk and Kennebunkport are just moments away for take out and exploring. Helen was easy to communicate with and provided lots of information on the house and things to do. Great experience!

Marsh, Beach, Kennebunk!

A wonderful two-week stay for family--6 adults, 2 kids. Beautiful quiet setting down a private road but close to diverse range of activities and great restaurants. Short walk to amazing wide sandy beach that is often empty. Good grill. Lovely pool. Good Wifi. House provides enough space for privacy but also has a good-sized living room for gathering and playing cards or doing jigsaw puzzles. The back deck is a great spot for looking out over the marsh and watching the birds and other wild life. Helen, the owner, could not be more welcoming or helpful.

House in disrepair. Safety issues. Windows nailed shut, missing screens, broken screens, unstable entry way to the house and pool, only 3 A/C for a 5 bedroom (can't open windows). One ceiling fan broken and one missing. Kitchen poorly stocked, very little kitchen utensils, Screen doors were duck taped. Pool railing unstable. Really hot the week we stayed and very stressful with young children. We would have left but we had family and friends fly in for the vacation. Had we not, we would have left The pool it self was wonderful. The physical property it self was nice. Deer eating on the property at evening.The parking pass to the town beach was great. Wonderful town breach

We got behind, sorry to say....life was difficult for a while, but no longer......carpenters are in more abundance and Covid is behind us....
