Great Quiet Complex on the Ocean!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been coming to Hale Hui Kai since our children were small as the beach and waves are good for children. Although the beach does have some erosion like most areas right now, still plenty of beach to hang on and enjoy yourself. The unit itself had a well stocked kitchen, fantastic ocean views, and comfortable beds. All you need for a great vacation!

Great Property, but not their best unit.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Hale Hui Kai is a great property with a perfect location. This unit had some dirty items left behind by a previous guest, and no toiletries in it (not a single bar of hand soap in any bathroom drawer/cabinet etc.) The furniture and layout are not as nice as some other units in the building, but it’s still a beachfront condo in Maui.

Wonderful as always. Our unit was well equipped and decor is very nice. Suggest new beach chairs, ac is very quirky, and a first aid kit would be great. Mahalo

Relaxing Maui experience

Location can't be beat, and the unit is comfortably appointed with everything you need.

There is no AC in the main living area, but having it in the bedrooms was sufficient. Would definitely stay here again!

Very nice condo

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very nice well appointed Condo with view of ocean, nice breeze. Great walks on the beach, sunset view, small pool was deep and refreshing. Close to shopping and great surfing lessons. Be aware that there is AC in the bedrooms only, and living room can be very warm in the afternoon in the summer.

Reviewer Comments: I have stayed in unit 213 several times. I love this unit! Spacious, airy, lots of natural light, sunset from private huge balcony. The kitchen is well stocked - I am not used to having my morning smoothies on vacations and the Ninja blender was a nice treat. Sunset is right in front of the huge balcony. Very comfortable master bed and large bedroom. Cross breeze and fans handle the temp. I used some AC at night which is appreciated. The owner provided service for a situation that not all owners would address. Highly recommend.

The view from the deck was spectacular. The kitchen has everything and more than you need. The bedroom was very quite and sleeping was very comfortable.

Great location but has issues

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First and foremost, the location is unbeatable. However, it did have critters. Mostly, mice and roaches. The unit, itself, was clean; however it had these issues. In addition, there weren’t any screens on the windows and with the slats open, as you need them to be for air flow since there is only AC in the bedrooms, any critter can get in. We ended up staying somewhere else as this issue made everyone uncomfortable!

Anniversary Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arrived Sept. 24 for a week. We had a good time exploring around the island and seeing the sights. There was a warm spell on the island. The kitchen and living room area were not air conditioned and so became quite warm in the late afternoon. The two bedrooms were air conditioned which allowed for relief from the heat. The Kitchen and living room would cool down in the morning when we had the doors to the lanai open and the door in the kitchen open allowing a cross breeze. The lanai was very nice to sit and view the ocean. We had a good time playing cards out on the lanai.

Family Vacation in Maui

This place is amazing! We have stayed in a lot of VRBO’s and this was by far the best stocked we’ve been in. Plenty of cooking utensils, towels, etc. Cannot beat this location! Literally walked right out to the beach, the condo looks exactly as it does in the pictures. Super family friendly location. Enjoyed the beach chairs and umbrellas provided as well. Our last day at the beach we got to swim along with a sea turtle making his way out to deeper waters! There are lava rocks/coral just in front of condo which make for great snorkeling, or go down a few more steps to just sand! Very clean condo, check in and check out was super easy. We will definitely be back!

Family vacation

The property was absolutely perfect. We had a west facing second floor two bedroom condo that overlooked the ocean and the west side of Maui. We saw spectacular sunsets every night. The property was very well maintained. We loved it.

Long time Hale Hooers (Hui Kai)

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love staying here, and have regularly over 25+ years. This particular unit is very nice. The best views for sunsets from the lanai. The only down side is the sofa sleeper, while comfortable, is noisy ever time you move, roll over or exit. There were only 4 wash clothes and only 1 set of king sheets for the master bed. For the price, it should be better stocked. Only 4 beach towels, and there were 6 of us. But, a nice unit over all, and beautiful furnishings.

This trip we stayed in Unit 213. The kitchen was well equipped with dishes and pots and pans. The sink and garbage disposal are definitely getting worn and dated.The on site manager was a little rude. However we understand it’s not an easy job.
