Great property and super helpful hosts. I didn’t read the full description and found out that the twin beds were in the “closet” of one of the rooms but it worked out for our stay. The hosts were super helpful and quick to respond. Highly recommend and would stay again.

I was a little concerned about this being an up stairs, just how big the space really was. To my surprise it was big. You can dance in the space in the kitchen and so much counter space. I don't have that much room at home. For an older house this place looks new. There is nothing I would change. As for the pool, we never used it, the house was so nice we just stayed in. Every thing was fully stocked. Brownsville isn't a big town, but we were there to relax and take a nap if we felt like it. We are a group of related women that get together every Summer to share news and explore new places through geocaching. I can only hope next years stay will be as nice as this years.

Family reunion

Absolutely loved our stay. Brownsville is an adorable little town. Our host was very nice and accommodating.

Family stay

The Kirk house worked great for our stay in Brownsville. The place was very clean and comfortable, it worked great for our family. Kathy was great to work with.

Great stay in Brownsville

Very clean and spacious. Ample room for 4 adults and 2 kids. Kitchen was great if you need to cook. Snacks and coffee available. Hosts were friendly and quiet (they live downstairs).

Martin and Kathy are attentive and excellent hots. The Kirk House was perfect for our situation as it afforded space for a young family with toddler and newborn whose mother was recovering from emergency surgery, as well as a private space for Gramma who was along to help. The kitchen is very, very spacious and lends itself to family cooking...plenty of room and well stocked with appliances, kitchen tools, pots/pans, dishes, etc. Very much appreciated the high chair, porta-crib,portable gate to block off stairs, and the twin beds just off the master room. Also, appreciated the back yard/patio area and enjoyed BBQ one of the evenings. We hope to visit again under less emergent circumstances. Thank you, Martin and Kathy for all the TLC you have put into The Kirk House, and allowing us the use of it. God bless youLaurel and family

We work in the construction field, and our team had to work in this area, and they absolutely enjoyed their stay at the beautiful, clean house with a pool and fire pit. I spoke with the owner once and she was so very kind and hospitable!!! 10/10 all the way!

Is was exactly what we needed after a long day.

The property was a lot larger than we expected. We visited as a company for work. The parking handled all our trucks and a trailer. The inside was remodeled,modern and very comfortable. We definitely enjoyed our stay! Never got the chance to jump in the pool, we will next time for sure.

Clean and well-equipped

Best kitchen I have ever had at a rental. Just note that this is the upstairs of a home, not the entire house itself. I fear my friends and I may have been loud and the host was extremely friendly so hopefully that did not disturb them.

Lovely Hospitality

The house has been restored well and Kathy did a lovely job of decorating the house for fall (we were there for Thanksgiving). A homemade apple cake greeted us. Superb hospitality. House was perfect for our needs. Our son is at OSU and we brought Thanksgiving to him. Space for everyone (four adults) and the kitchen is big so perfect for Thanksgiving cooking. We drove through the cute little town of Brownsville but didn't spend any time exploring. A great place to stay.

Golf Trip

My retired golf buddies and I stayed here for 2 nights to play courses in the area. It was clean and comfortable for 4 of us. We ate out so did not use the kitchen much but it looked well stocked. We thought we were renting the whole house as shown in the picture. It was actually an apartment on the property. Enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Delightful place.

Kathy was easy to talk to and responsive to my questions. The place was light and bright with comfortable beds and a great spacious kitchen. It would have been Nice to have a second shower and to know ahead of time that the twin bed room was accessible only by passing through the largest bedroom… a great situation for a family but not quite so great for mother-in-law quarters. Not a complaint just observations. The owners have done a great job setting up very comfortable accommodations.

Thank you so much for your review Lila I appreciate your feedback. You are right it is great for a family situation as long as the mother-in-law can stay in the second bedroom it would be awesome. I wish we would’ve put a second shower in that bathroom since there was room for it hindsight 2020.
