Welcome to Topridge! This cozy rancher is centrally located – close to all the wonderful attractions that Chincoteague has to offer. Main Street, with its charming shops and restaurants, as well as Chincoteague’s main drag, Maddox Boulevard, are both less than a mile away. Or, you can head to Veterans Memorial Park - a great site for fishing, crabbing, and boating. Chincoteague’s beautiful beach is just a short drive - or a bike ride - away, and other pony attractions - such as the carnival grounds and Chincoteague Pony Centre - are nearby, too!.

While Topridge is close to all the action, the house itself is in a quiet neighborhood, set back from the road for added privacy. Topridge is a relaxing, dog friendly retreat. This three bedroom (1 queen, 1 full, and a bunk room with one full and two twins), two full bathroom house offers an open floor plan with an inviting living, dining, and kitchen space. We also have a bonus sun porch. Our huge screened-in porch with areas for dining and lounging is a great place to relax after a day of fun. We offer a spacious, fenced in yard (six feet tall for anyone with jumpers!) that backs up to a wooded lot. Your furry friends can enjoy some sunbathing or chase after a tennis ball. We would love to host you in our home away from home! THIS HOUSE DOES NOT PROVIDE LINENS OR TOWELS. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN OR CALL US TO RENT THEM.

Cancellations made 30 days prior to arrival will receive 100% of refund  of all monies minus $ 39 Processing Fee and Any Credit Card Convenience Fees Paid.  If less then 30 days: the advanced rent is only refundable subject to the following: The property is re-rented for the same period. Re-rental of less than a full week will be refunded on a pro-rated basis. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I love Topridge! My parents are in their 90s so the ranch style is awesome! We all get our own room! It's also pet friendly which is awesome! The location is great! My only issue is they need a better vacuum..that doesn't plug into the wall...lol! We have rented 5 years in a row!

We loved having the sunroom as an extra spot to just sit and chill. The screen in porch was great for eating outside at night without bugs. The fenced in yard was wonderful for our furry companion. We were delighted with the house and our entire week.

The bad -The outside of the property needs help. The landscaping has dead bushes/trees, weeds growing up onto the front porch (poison ivy) and up under the deck out back. Dog poop was everywhere in the back yard,not only did I clean up my own dog’s poop but everyone else’s. I couldn’t even play ball with my dog because of all the piles of poop. The outside needs to be power washed and clean up weeds in driveway. The outside lights over the garage don’t work. They appear to be motion sensored. It was pitch black when we arrived- not even the porch light was left on for us. There is nothing that lights up the backyard. There is a large tall light pole back there but we found no way to turn it on. The good - the house is very comfortable, loved the screened in porch and sun room with all the books. Also loved how pet supplies were proved. It just seemed no on used them. The beds were very comfy and the water pressure in the showers rocked. The AC cranked. Other than avoiding piles of dog poop and poison ivy. It was a great week at the beach. Probably would not rent same house again.

Fabulous property, reader's dream

We came down with a lot of extended family members (all in their own homes) and this was a great place to gather. Between the kitchen, living room, dining room and two porches, plenty of places to sit and enjoy ourselves. The owners have large libraries scattered thru the house with books for every genre you could imagine and a fun game room. And our pups appreciated the fenced in back yard! Very comfortable beds, and great pillows.

Spacious, private, easy access

Great house for a great price! Not just “pets allowed”, but down right dog welcoming! Sun porch is amazing. Tons of room to spread out. Easy access to beach, entertainment, and dining, but somehow felt private. Would definitely stay here again.

Functionally the "Host" is Harbour Rentals, who we have done business with for years and have always had a positive experience. Definitely will continue to do business with them in the future. The layout of the house is awesome. Love the "2-tiered" back deck concept, with a fully enclosed first room with AC, books, and game room. The outer deck which is a screened-in porch also quite nice. The screen doors need a slight adjustment, and the glider cover needs some serious cleaning. The 3 bedrooms were spacious; note that the 2 bathrooms are separate from the bedrooms and open into the hall. One bath is a shower/ tub combo, the other shower only. Water pressure was great. Black-out curtains in the bedrooms provided ample dark for my adult children who prefer to sleep in till noon. Loved the doggie closet.Cleanliness in the house was good on a superficial level but we would suggest steam cleaning the furniture. The wood floors need a little deep cleaning as well. My issue really has to do with the outside. The yard was unmowed and there are vines growing onto the house and throughout the gardens. The front garden has long-dead bushes in it but thriving weeds. There are abundant weeds growing in cracks and seams along the driveway and front walk-up. Pruning is needed on bushes particularly in the front. Algae is growing on the siding in the front. One solid day of landscape work would convert the exterior of this home from an eyesore to something matching the inside.

We will plan another vacation next year at Chincoteague Island through Harbor Rentals, hopefully with this same property. Next year we are hoping for a two week rental. Relaxing family beach vacation

The game room was a bonus surprise. Unfortunately we had some issues with the electricity and we weren't able to enjoy the back screened in porch or backyard once the sun went down. The house was an easy drive to the beach and the kids loved all the shops and food options. It was our first time on the island and we had a great time.

There is a game room which was a nice little surprise. We stayed during a really hot week and the air conditioning couldn’t keep up which is to be expected. We were out and about during the day anyways, but the bedrooms did not cool off as much as we would have liked at night. Overall, I would rent Topridge again!

My parents are in their 90s so we wanted a 1 level place. Topridge was the perfect choice! It had an open layout and 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms! It had 3 different patio spaces...1 out front, 1 enclosed (with lots of books)off the dining room and 1 screened in porch surrounded by a large fenced backyard! Great place for a dog! My dog loved it! The kitchen was spacious and had just about every thing you need. The furniture was fine and comfortable. The beds were fine maybe leaning towards the firmer side of mattress. The location was fine for us. We don't walk everywhere anymore but we were just minutes from everything. You could easily bike everywhere! We would definitely recommend this place and we would rent again!

Nestled in the woods on a beautiful and slow paced island was the greatest vacation home we have ever been to. Upon arrival, check in was a breeze and the staff were super friendly. When we opened the doors, we were amazed by the cleanliness and atmosphere of the house. It was very warm and inviting to our family for the stay. The yard was perfect for our dog to be able to go out and enjoy the spring air and scents while remaining safe behind the fence, and the grill and covered porch were awesome for enjoying the warm evenings with a good meal. The location is amazing, being only a couple minutes drive to pretty much anywhere on the island. We will absolutely be returning to the house in years to come.

The game room was amazing and I almost got the dog face puzzle put together while we were there. I would’ve loved to try out the hammock but the mosquitos were ridiculous the week we were there. Harbour Rentals was responsive to any questions we had. Overall, a good experience.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Appreciate that Top Ridge is one of the few properties that is dog friendly! Wish there were more properties would become dog friendly. This property is clean and our family enjoyed the extra porch areas and game room. However, this property needs some attention to the A/C especially in the bedrooms. Upgraded mattresses would be greatly appreciated and enough dishes (bowls) for all six to eat from. The loose front porch railing needs to be repaired soon! I think this can be a place we return to with a few tweaks and less “quirks”.

We really appreciated the fenced in back yard, dog toys, and bags. Kitchen was perfectly stocked as was everywhere else in the house! Our girls loved the game room and I especially loved all the book!!! We would absolutely come back again The *only* wish we would make would be for a different mattress. Both my husband and I had very sore backs by the end of the week.
