Spacious, comfortable, well equipped, year-round, 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom contemporary house with expansive deck and 150 feet of private lake frontage with beach. Private location with unbeatable views of one of the cleanest lakes in VT! Summertime fun with 3 kayaks and 1 paddleboard included, proximity to Kingdom Trails and other wonderful biking and hiking areas. Wintertime base for Nordic and alpine skiing (Craftsbury, Jay Peak, Burke Mtn.), and access to VAST trails. Unbeatable fall foliage. This home has it all! Please note that summer rentals will be week-long, generally Friday to Friday. Preference given to previous VRBO renters with 5 star reviews.

The description and photos of the house are accurate and impressive and even more so in person. This rental is meticulously equipped, inside and out, with every need anticipated. It is comfortable, well furnished, clean and for what is important to us, has privacy in a peaceful, rural setting overlooking a beautiful lake. To complete the picture, the hosts are gracious and responsive to any questions. This is the place to stay when travelling to northern Vermont.

Annual fishing trip

Great place, location is unmatched. Quiet & relaxing. House is incredible, host is always a text away. This is the 2nd time here and we wish to continue staying in to the years to come spring/fall if availability allows. Highly recommend

Lovely stay

Spectacular location and house. The house is very clean, and surprisingly large. The deck to enjoy lake views is great. Everything met or exceeded our expectations and Katie was a wonderful host to work with. We highly recommend!

Our first time in Vermont

Me, my wife and our standard poodle stayed here for 4 full days. The house was clean, comfortable and had a great location on the lake. The host was very nice and gave us lots of good information on the house as well as the local attractions. I would highly recommend!

And thanks for being patient with the wifi issue - after 5 scheduled appointments with the internet provider, someone finally came on Wednesday and redid all the wiring to the road! So internet should be more solid going forward.

Fishing trip

Incredible views from the decks, a tranquil country setting with a water view that is beautiful. Katherine the owner was great. Would highly recommend to anyone. Would definitely book again

Perfect Getaway

Everything was better than expected from the moment we arrived! Beautiful views, private and quiet, incredibly clear lake water. The inside was spotless, large, and comfortable, with new appliances, fully equipped kitchen, and a toasty gas stove. We hiked a couple nearby mountains and explored the Northeast Kingdom. A great place for making family memories!

Family Retreat

Spent our time sitting on the deck, kayaking, and playing with my 2 year old twin grandchildren. The house and setting was beautiful. Would definitely return next year. Loved it

The home was extremely clean, very spacious, and well equipped with everything one can use during a vacation. The home owner also communicated with me every step of the way. Overall, it was a wonderful and pleasant vacation in a beautiful home!

Lakeside Paradise

This property was as described and so much more. It was cozy and spacious at the same time. Our family spent time together cooking in the well-equipped kitchen, playing games around the table in the sunroom, and enjoyed all of the outside areas of the home, including large deck, clean lake, and swings. Katie, the homeowner, is kind and considerate and answered all our questions promptly. We stayed for a week and would definitely return. We highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a quiet lake getaway!

Couldn’t Be Better

This wonderful property is even better than described. The photos don’t do justice of this beautiful home and scenery. There were more than enough essentials to stay even if we hadn’t brought anything with us. Not to mention the abundance of activities available for all ages. Katherine responded to questions we had immediately, left nothing to chance. If we return to the Northeast Kingdom in the future, no need to look for accommodations. This place is PERFECT!

A Little Piece of Heaven!

Amazing house in an amazing setting- it far exceeded our expectations! The setting was so peaceful, that we enjoyed just sitting on the deck or in the sun room reading, listening to the loons, or admiring the fabulous views. The house was equipped with everything you could possibly need, and the beds and living room furniture were very comfortable. My husband especially loved that he could "ask" the TV remote to find the channel or program he wanted. For two technologically-challenged seniors, this was a big plus. The lake was pristine and very inviting, although it was a little tough to navigate our way down the steps or short hillside because of our age. We managed to get in a few times, however, and I'm sure it would be no problem with younger guests. We enjoyed driving around the Northeast Kingdom, exploring the area and discovering beautiful vistas and quaint villages on the country roads. Thank you, Katie and Charlie, for being such great hosts and allowing us to use your beautiful house as the home base for a wonderful vacation. We'll be back!

Awesome Place

Great property. Great views even with rain. Not too far from things to see and do but remote from others. Felt like our own little spot. Everything provided and seemed brand new. The mud room was a huge help with the wet weather and wet dog. Could strip all the wet things and plenty of hooks to dry off. Provided great amenities for the dog too with covers, lint removers, and our dog learned to love the water. The owners were great with tips and communication. Definitely on list of places to go again.

Amazing, quiet spot!

We had a wonderful time! Such a beautiful, relaxing and secluded spot! Our family had suck a laid back and relaxing time! Katie was amazing to work with- gave us lots of suggestions and our stay was fantastic!! Highly recommend!

Great stay at Seymour Lake

What a stunning location and beautiful house! This rental is located at the end of a road situated right on the water with a bit of a sandy beach, beautiful trees and excelent views down the lake. The hostess was very easy to communicate with and takes pride in the property to ensure a great stay. There were plenty of water toys (SUP, kayaks, tubes, floaties and googles) as well as a ping pong table and board games/cards. The wifi was great and AT&T service was good. The country store was 2 minutes away with any needed essentials as well as grilled food and pizza. The house itself is updated, modern and full of nice light. The kitchen was well appointed and we found everything we needed. The best attribute was the peace and beauty of the lake at this spot, a little sliver of paradise.

Great Lake Stay In Northeast Kingdom

Place was as advertised right on the lake with amazing views. Easy access/check in and communication with Katie was fast and easy. Jay Peak, Kingdom Trails, Magog Quebec all within 40 mins. Newport 20 mins with great mtb trails and the Northern Star Cruise on Lake Meph was great. Montreal even an hour and 45 mins away. Our Chocolate lab and two boys (5 & 6) loved our stay. Highly suggest anyone taking a look to look no further!

Heaven on Earth

This is such an amazing and relaxing property. Location is perfect if you are looking for a quiet waterfront property. The house had everything we needed and I could spend all day on the sun porch or deck if we weren't in the water. There weren't many boats on the lake when we there and we had a great time using the kayaks and paddle board. The water was so refreshing(not cold) and extremely clear. Katie was very responsive and helpful with any questions. Great communication! I can't say enough good things about our entire vacation and hopefully we will be able to stay there again.

The most beautiful lake house!

We traveled from NJ, myself and my sister, two husbands, and two dogs for our vacation at The Swabey's lake house. This was the nicest rental home we've ever stayed in. The house was so clean, comfortable, and had absolutely everything we needed. Katie even had towels and toys/balls for the dogs - who had a great time swimming. The water was a little cold for us to swim (even though we did a little anyway) and made use of the kayaks and paddle board as well. I couldn't have asked for a better vacation or better place to stay for a week. Katie was absolutely wonderful to talk to and extremely helpful and accommodating. I'd give 10 stars if I could!

Beautiful lakeside location

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this property. The view of the lake is unmatched, and the house itself is lovely and well furnished. The kitchen has everything you need, all the appliances are new and the cookware is great quality. The bedrooms are cozy and comfortable. The weather was still on the cold side during our stay, but the gas fireplace really warms up the whole house! Katie is a wonderful host. She answered all of my questions and gave us lots of great recommendations of things to do in the area. We particularly loved Tim & Doug’s ice cream and the MAC gallery. There are lots of fun hikes in the area as well! We can’t wait to come back!
