Are you looking to escape the city for a day or a weekend? Look no further! This cabin has all those cozy feels you're looking for and is surrounded by the peace and beauty of nature. Spend a morning kayaking or fishing at the lake and hiking the beautiful forest trails all just minutes from the house. Visit local wineries in the afternoon and then enjoy a BBQ dinner on the large deck and good conversation at the fire pit among the trees!

Cozy, 2 story cabin, totaling 1276 square feet

The living room, kitchen and a bathroom are on the first floor

2 spacious bedrooms and another bathroom are on the second floor

Large deck in backyard with picnic table, patio heater, string lights and BBQ that is perfect for hanging out and those outdoor meals! Enjoy sunsets among the trees!

The master bedroom has its own large deck with seating and string lights. There is also a spacious desk if you need to work from home during your stay.

The living room has a queen sofa bed.

The living room and both bedrooms all have large, flat screen, smart TVs with Comcast cable.

The back yard is large and mostly level with plenty of room for kids to run around.

There is a coffee station with coffee maker, coffee, tea, creamer, sugar etc.

There is a full size washer and dryer in the kitchen for your use. They are quiet and fast!

There is a wall heater on the first floor and a space heater in each bedroom.

Please abide by quiet hours of 10 pm to 8 am and note that overnight guests are subject to the maximum number of 4. Max occupancy excludes children 6 years and younger.

3 dog maximum.
$40 non-refundable fee.
$25 per additional dog.
There is a baby gate at the bottom of the stairs. If you leave your dog unattended for longer periods of time while leaving the house, please keep them on the bottom floor since there is no carpet.
If the dogs are on the couches, it would be appreciated if you would please keep the covers on.
If you know your dog is the type to bark if you leave, please do not leave them in the yard to disturb the neighbors.
There will be poop bags available and an outdoor trash can. Please clean up after your dog before leaving.

Nice property and dog friendly backyard. Lots of wildlife to observe. Great location close to the lake. The only thing we did not like was the bed, too soft for our old backs.

Quick communication. Easy check in and check out, cabin is fully stocked, only need to bring your clothes! Internet connection worked great, daughter loved feeding the deer.

Great place to relax and very accommodating. Shannon was a great host and the best communicator. Very thorough and thoughtful. The place was just what we needed for a quick getaway and very dog friendly. Location is prime too. Will look to stay here again in the future. Thank you again!

Shannon‘s cabin really came through for my daughter and me at a tender time in life, when I’ve found myself longing for this beautiful area in the Sierra foothills where my family used to vacation when we were kids. What I didn’t realize is that Shannon‘s cabin would also fulfill on the knotty pine, the old-school floor tiles, and just sheer coziness of a home in the woods, surrounded by both life and peacefulness. And then there is the livability factor and the thoughtfulness behind how well appointed the cabin is. I absolutely love both bedrooms – one sort of feminine, expansive and bright and the other very reminiscent of the more austere cabin flavors of the past. I slept in the latter, and I’m so glad I did. I traveled with my grown daughter, who lives in France and also works from home. The larger bedroom served her perfectly, with the desk, the view, and great internet, so that she could work both virtually and internationally right here on our vacation. We adventured every day, enjoying various bodies of water in the area. Our Australian Shepherd Annie thought she had died and gone to heaven, for sure. Anyhow … suffice to say I recommend Shannon’s lovely cabin.

The cabin was extremely cozy and had everything we needed. We loved the location nestled amongst the trees and the deer visitors, the beds are comfy and the kitchen well stocked. Shannon was a great host who explained everything we needed to know and gave lots of recommendations for local places to visit.

This cabin was perfect for my daughter and I, and our 3 dogs. The yard is fully fenced, no escape holes, and it’s so big for them to play and explore. The patios are amazing! We bbq’d, roasted marshmallows at the fire pit, just hung out looking at the stars, drove down to the lake, which is less than 5 mins. The home is clean, check in and out was simple, and Shannon was easy to contact when needed and provided plenty of details for everything. We will absolutely be back!

Host is communicative and helpful. The cabin is well-stocked, adorably decorated, cozy and comfortable. We had fresh baked pumpkin bread waiting for us when we arrived. The yard was perfect for our small dog to run around and the neighborhood is peaceful and calm. Perfect getaway if you are looking for a relaxing mountain vacation.

A respite from the world

The house was clean, tidy and well decorated. The house was well stocked with pantry supplies, such as paper towels, foil, baggies, etc. The Host was an excellent communicator and attentive. We had a wonderful stay.

Wonderful cabin!

We took our little family here to celebrate my husband’s birthday! It was the perfect location, close to Apple Hill activities and nearby Placerville to explore. The owner was so lovely to work with. We definitely would stay here again. Note to those with really young kids - it is child friendly but certainly not baby-proofed. Might be better for families with slightly older children.

Weekend in Pollock Pines

We had a family weekend in Pollock Pines. We enjoyed our stay. Very good level of communication and attentive to our needs. Aside from that the one thing that stood out was the house had all the supplies we needed on hand. We were met with some goodies when we first arrived, which was a nice touch.

Great host and cozy cabin!

We had a great time at the Little Green Cabin. Shannon goes to great length to ensure her guests feel welcome and have a delightful stay. She provided detailed information about her vacation rental prior to our trip and surprised us with tasty treats upon arrival. Shannon was very accommodating when we made some requests before, during, and at the end of our stay. She also immediately contacted us when the power went out due to a winter storm. The cabin is clean and nicely decorated including holiday decor, which made it feel homey and cozy. It is well-stocked and has all the pots and pans as well as spices and condiments needed to prepare meals. Everything is in good working order and well maintained. On one of the days during our stay we were stuck inside due to weather and it was nice to veg out on the couch and binge watch TV. The cabin is located in a quiet neighborhood nestled among pine trees. It’s close to Jenkinson Lake and the Mormon Emigrant Trail with some nice options for walking. You’ll see damage from the Caldor fire in the area, but not in the immediate neighborhood. And there are plenty of spots that have not been affected. For example, the area around Ice House Reservoir north of the 50 is nice. If you are coming in the winter months and have only a 2wd car, bring chains. We hit some slush upon arrival and had to put on chains to make it up Rainbow Trail, which leads to the cabin.
