We enjoyed the property overall and appreciated the decor and character of the home. We also really liked the location and enjoyed fishing off the bridge down the road. There were a few concerns during our stay, including dirty floors and bugs entering the house. We did not use the hot tub due to debris in the water, and the water had a noticeable sulfur odor, so would suggest bringing your own drinking water.

Absolutely loved, loved, loved this house! It was very spacious and offered everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and convenient. The only remark I can truly give is although the house was clean, there were some very minor attention to details the host should be aware of with the cleaning company. There was a pan in the oven with a baked potato left from the previous guest. There were toenail clippings under the sofa cushions on the second floor, and a couple of beers floating in the hot tub. (This place is no doubt a great place for a friend group get-together!). These were not things that turned me off from the spot and I would definitely rent this property again. Only mentioning because I believe the host should get what’s paid for with his cleaning crew. The host, Shawn, was extremely accommodating and polite. 100% recommend this place for any family/friend getaway!

Great spot!

Our large group was very comfortable and well entertained. The amenities were great and the space was very large and roomy. We’d stay here again.

Worked great for 6 people.

Great location- by water and woods- private- dirt road to walk on. Downstairs LR w/tv very comfy. Pill table a plus. Check in very easy- good communication with hosts.

Guys weekend

Great property for entertaining. Rooftop deck was really cool. Plenty of places for people to sleep. Nice that youre allowed to host events as wellm everyone had a great time.

Boys Weekend

Property was perfect for our boys weekend. Upper Deck and patio is amazing and use of the grill and hot tub were awesome. Great bachelor pad for video games and hanging out. Pool table was in great condition and was a great addition. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking needs. Beds were comfortable and the house was really nice.

Not exactly what was expected

The advertisement was not exactly descriptive of the neighborhood. It seemed there would be lake access but there was a small private beach in a neighborhood someone told us was not available for visitors. The town beach neighborhood area and boat dock area was incredibly small and not a nice area for a large group. Although close to some public beaches it still required a 20 min plus drive. The hot tub had a broken jet and leaked onto the rooftop deck. There was 2inches of water on the deck leaking into the game room when we arrived and impacted us being able to use the top two amenities the roof top deck and hot tub. The house as relatively clean but could use some additional dusting/cobweb removal. The yard could use better upkeep as well. There was no book or directions that gave basic instructions such as Wi-Fi password, how to turn on the hot tub, directions to certain lake accesses etc. The host was reasonable regarding our complaints and refunded us accordingly. He was easy to get in touch with but lacked follow through. All in all we enjoyed or stay but it wasn’t exactly what we expected.

Hi Allison, thank you for the feedback and the opportunities we can work on as it helps us be better at being great hosts. Prior to your arrival, we did have some flash rainfall and as we can’t control Mother Nature, that was what most of the water was from on the roof top deck, there is a drain but with the amount of rain we got, which was much needed, it was covered with some debri so unfortunately it took longer then usual to drain. The hot tub is working besides the single jet which broke prior to your arrival and we were as devastated for that. There is Narrows beach right down the road about a mile away and sun-cook lake is also available not too far away, all this info including the Wi-Fi is available in our check in instructions we send out out day of your check in as the book we had has gone missing many times. We have resolved all these issues and waiting for the back ordered part for the jets and refunded you a significant amount for the trouble but again, we appreciate your feedback and always welcome it from our guests.

Weekend with the boys

We were looking for a house that could accommodate and entertain a nice weekend for the guys to get together and cut loose a bit. Shawn's property was perfect. The game room, movie room, and hot tub were great. All appliances worked and were new high quality systems. They even left their logins open on their streaming accounts. All in all was a great time. Would love to come back

Flooded Deck

Overall experience was fine. Our main issues we had were that the back deck was flooded the entire time (it was a known issue). It rained on Thursday and the water was there through Sunday. This caused a leak into one of the rooms where we needed three buckets the entire time to keep up with the water. The property doesn't have as much room as you think it does so yard games are limited. Propane tanks were not filled but there are a few stores less than 5 minutes away where you can get this filled and handled.

Great Location!

We rented the property for Race weekend at Loudon. The house was well-stocked and very clean. We walked to the little beach a mile down the road which is perfect for families with little kids. Any question I had, the owner got back to me right away. This place is great as a little retreat or as home-base for day trips around New Hampshire.
