On the lake AND in the heart of Downtown Eufaula. Walk to shops, dining and the Yoholo Micco Trail from this great location. This historic home was built in 1882 and served as Eufaula's original town jail prior to its restoration as a city park and now a residential home. Eufaula's "Old Town Jail" is currently listed on the national register of historic places and is one of many historic structures in the town of Eufaula. Beautifully restored and renovated, the home still contains its original features, but includes all the modern amenities and comforts. You will not find a more fascinating and charming home than this, and the location can't be beat! Two bedrooms and 1 bath with 1200 sq feet of living space. Several boat launches located within minutes, and plenty of room to park your vehicles and boat. Dogs are welcome with a $50 non-refundable pet fee. Providence Canyon, AKA the Little Grand Canyon of Georgia is approx 20 miles away.

Great views

A very unique, historical property that overlooks Lake Eufaula. Clean, comfortable, well outfitted, great views and in walking distance to town, where we enjoyed eating at the Eufaula Sandwich Shop and the Cajun Corner.

Wedding night stay

We stayed in preparation for our wedding, and it was the most beautiful view of lake Eufaula. We will be staying again! The host was extremely nice and prompt to one of my late night messages. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Great Holiday Stay

My husband, mother-in-law and I stayed at the property to visit our adult sons that live near the area. Everyone loved the property. We loved the historical value, how clean it was, the views, the amount of space and the neighborhood. The view of the lake is so gorgeous! The full kitchen allowed us to cook breakfast every morning and have everyone over for Christmas dinner. We would highly recommend the property.

Quaint Lakeside Cottage

Really neat little place. The nostalgia of the old jailhouse added to its charm. Close to downtown shopping and dining. Providence Canyon is a short drive away and a must when visiting the area. We will be back to stay again.

Great little Jailhouse

This place is Beautiful ! Location is great and the little downtown area is within walking distance and has some of the best restaurants! We ate at the Mexican Jalisco and the Cajun Corner both were excellent! Also had coffee at the Pecan gift shop. We will be back.

Beautiful weekend at Lake Eufala.

Loved the cute house "former jail". We had a beautiful weekend in this adorable little town. Enjoyed the water view. A couple things to note; no dishwasher, but thankfully we ate out. The bed was high off the ground and hard to get in and seemed smaller than a double bed width wise. We would still come back to this adorable place. Also, lots of road noise; the house is next to a busy road and a lake with boats.

Historic Stay

When I booked this stay, I wanted something on the water and close to town. This is the perfect combination! We loved the “jail” house and the history. We are so thankful for the preservation of this piece of history and the owner’s willingness to share this rare and special house. Host let us know early that the house was ready which we appreciate and they are willing to extend check out if there’s no one coming that day. Would definitely stay here again.

Early fall at the jail

Enjoyed most things about this property BUT, if I may offer a few suggestions— The bar stools are too HIGH to sit comfortably at the beautifully large island Front door is difficult to open-door sticks We would definitely come back here. Thanks for a lovely time

Peaceful

Beautiful and peaceful! I can't say one negative thing about this home. It was very clean and comfortable, and it had all the amenities necessary for an enjoyable stay. The view of the lake was awesome whether watching early morning or at night when the moon is reflecting on the water . This is the perfect place if your looking for serenity.

Especially unique getaway! Old Eufaula Jail stay experience relaxing and very enjoyable! 5 Stars!

Exceptionally clean, very accommodating and Downtown walking distance. We soaked up every minute of our little getaway. Not disappointed in any way. Owner communication spot on with prompt replies. Absolutely beautiful overlook of the Lake/River. Makes for a very peaceful and relaxing getaway.

Great place

We loved our stay. The property is beautiful and very comfortable. We loved the views of the sunrise over the lake. The house has all you will need for your stay including condiments, spices, and sweet goodies to make if you want to cook. There was no dishwasher, but we didn’t mind that. The fact that it was a historic jail was an added bonus.

Amazing View - Great Location

Beautiful and peaceful

The home had a wonderful calm and cozy atmosphere. It is very beautiful and well equipped for cooking your own meals and spending evenings on the patio enjoying a lovely view. Looking forward to staying there again!

Good location and close to town. Everything you might need only minites away. The house was very quiet and had everything available for home cooking. Property manager was very polite and helpful. I enjoyed my stay.

Fantastic Anniversary celebration

Venue was perfect for us. Fantastic view from the deck. Very secure in basically commercial neighborhood. Close to downtown Eufaula with great restaurants, shopping, walking trail. Interior is very clean & comfortable. Host answered all questions in prompt/timely manner . Five Stars in every way!!!
