Wonderful place to stay! Beautiful property and with pool, ping pong, music, fire pit, hot tub and the spectacular view, we didn’t want to leave the house! The host and homeowner were very friendly and gracious. Definitely planning to go back.

Great stay with great views of Hudson

Lovely home and location. Private and quiet. Home has everything you need and host communicated immediately. Right next to train station but wouldnt know it. House has nice layout. Would stay again. Beds comfy, as well. About 40 mins to West Point and a central location to get to other lovely towns.

Wonderful memories made forever

This is such a wonderful river house for a whole family gathering. We have six people, two families, together spent a week here. The host is easy to reach and the property managers quickly respond to everything. The backyard view is spectacular. We highly recommend this place to our friends too. We are thinking about coming back again.

Wonderful, wonderful

Exactly as advertised. Very easy to get to by car and train. The house has many spaces for group activities as well as quiet reading/napping areas. The grounds are well maintained and the view is stunning. We had everything we needed for a family getaway. The kitchen is perfect for group cooking. Check in and check out were super easy and our host responded immediately to our questions. We look forward to our next visit.

College Reunion and 60th Birthdays Celebration

What a fantastic location for 5 dear friends to catch up and make new memories! River House blows you away with its amazing views, wonderful gathering spaces, well-stocked kitchen and cozy bedrooms. We enjoyed lazy mornings around the spacious kitchen table and evening cocktails watching the sun set over the Hudson River! Close to hiking and Storm King, we really could not have found a better spot for our reunion time together. Thank you so much!

Spacious home just outside of Beacon, NY

My family had a wonderful week at the Riverhouse. The home is lovingly decorated and each bedroom is spacious as are the living areas, the kitchen/dining area and the downstairs rec room which must be seen to be believed. In addition, an enclosed solarium is a great quiet space to read or take in the magnificent river view, along with the large outdoor back patio complete with grill, shade umbrellas, chairs, a hot tub and a path down to a small dock that's perfect for quiet moments communing with nature. A huge plus that every VRBO host should emulate is that all the cabinets and closets have discrete labels on them so you know where to find everything! What a gift! The location is just outside of Beacon but a quick drive gets you to all of the great nearby attractions including Dia Beacon and Storm King as well as downtown Beacon for shopping and dining. Jean was a friendly and responsive host and we highly recommend this listing.

Pictures don’t do it justice - Hidden gem

We are coming back to this magical place. The pictures need to be updated because it is SO much better than what is shown online. The views are absolutely stunning and many of the rooms have Hudson Valley River views. Imagine waking up to bald eagles flying over the river, right by your window. The home is also MUCH larger than what is shown in the pictures. The garden, lawn, new patio, hot tub, fire pit, and huge outdoor umbrellas in the backyard were perfect. Inside the house, there is something for everyone to do. Pool table, piano, drums, tv. The little details were also so thoughtful. From labeling all of the drawers, to having a chef’s stove / oven and large laundry room, to having sun shades on all of the River facing windows. Basically, anything you think you might want, Jean probably has it in the house. We even forgot something at the house and Jean is mailing it back. Wonderful host. We are coming back.

Breathtaking property and top notch Host

River House is a rare gem and looks even more beautiful in person than in the online listing. The house itself is spacious and well-appointed, has an awesome setup for kids including pool table and music room plus space to romp. The private dock was perfect for us two adults to relax before the wedding ceremony. And the hot tub with a staggering view of the Hudson was a priceless way to finish the day. The Hosts were very invested in us having a dream experience and provided recommendations and accomodations for our unique needs. They were excited for our stay, extremely available and communicative before, during and after our reservation. This went a long way in making sure our visit was dialed in. The house is epic in size, with lots of corners and separate living rooms so everyone can have their own spot to unwind - or to connect. Even when the weather turned rainy, curling up in the scenic sunroom provided stunning views and relaxing comfort. The furniture and linens were comfy and high quality, and everything was sparklingly clean. The house has a lot of thoughtful touches that make staying there feel like home. Can't say enough about this beautiful space. You will definitely have a great experience at River House!

Perfect family getaway

Jean’s house was the perfect getaway house for my family of 9. There were enough amnesties to keep everyone entertained and we had a lot of family time in the dining area. Cold Springs, Beacon and Storm King were all within a 30mins drive from this house.

Fabulous views on the Hudson

Our family had a fantastic weeks stay at this lovely and spacious home. The kitchen was very well appointed with tons of spices and all the cook wear you would ever need for a large group of 10. Every cabinet was labeled which was very helpful. The pool table and ping pong tables were fun for adults and kids. The linens were super soft and cozy. The views from every room of the water was gorgeous. We had a wonderful time and would rent this house again. The master bathroom was locked which was not ideal. But other than that the property manager lives next door so was easy if anything came up. The backyard was perfect for games and grilling and enough seating for everyone. Definitely go to storm king art center. It was awesome and the bodoin park is great for kids. Cafe maya was delicious Mexican and the village creamery for ice cream. Can’t wait to come back!

Riverhouse

The property was very clean and comfortable. The host really went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. The house is very beautiful and offers great amenities.

Beautiful and Fun house!

Very fun house with pool table and ping pong. My family had a wonderful stay! The river view is breathtaking and we saw 2 bald eagles every morning. Would love to stay again.
