Great week in DC!

We wanted a place in DC where our family of six could stay for a week of college visits and sightseeing. With two full bathrooms, enough beds/couches for everyone to have their own space without sharing a room, and a washer/dryer to make sure we had clean clothes for the week, Lara’s home was the perfect fit! Highly recommend!

Cozy, comfortable, and convenient!

Lara's place was a great home away from home while I hosted friends from out of town. The house had everything we needed, awesome outdoor space, and easy check-in/out process. Lara was super helpful and responsive the one time I needed to get in touch with her.

Good value for a family looking to spend time in DC

We were very happy with our stay as we were looking to stay somewhere close to DC that was less expensive than the crazy prices in the heart of DC. It was a perfect place for us as we would head out in the morning and not be back until night after spending a full day touring the City. As a family, we appreciated separate bedrooms, W/D, great internet, and multiple bathrooms. Thanks Lara.

Wonderful weekend in DC

We had 3 generations spending a weekend together in DC. We loved the location of the house and all of it's amenities. There was a good amount of street noise, but it didn't bother us too much. The off street parking was convenient, the neighborhood was pleasant to walk around, and the ease of getting to the touristy sites was great. Thank you to Lara for sharing your home!

Clean & Comfortable home, free parking, stocked kitchen

Our family of five had a wonderful stay. Easy check-in, clean and well stocked kitchen, (thank you for the milk for our coffee!) plenty of space. Never had to worry about parking. Our host was communicative and responsive. Would book again!

Charming home within traveling distance to DC.

This home was a good size for our family. It wasn’t far from area attractions. The house was very clean and the host was very polite and communicated well, answering all messages very quickly. We highly recommend this property.

Good place to stay for DC sight seeing.

It was only about 25 minutes away from all the things you want to see around the White House in DC. There are three bedrooms upstairs with one bathroom, and there is another bathroom on the first floor.

Great to meet you and Welcome to Washington DC. My name is Lara and my daughter's name is Talia. Washington DC is our main residence along with New Jersey for this year.

When we are not hosting guests; the house is occupied by Talia and myself. We both moved from NYC to Washington DC in 2010. A side from hustling, we both like to travel and learn about different cultures. United States Map hanging on kitchen wall shows some of the places we have visited so far.

Our heritage ties to Middle Eastern culture. Our Parents/Grandparents grew up in Jordan and Jerusalem, the Holy Lands.

Turkey Thicket offers DC residents a FREE access to the pool, gym and all other amenities. Few minutes' walk from Catholic, Howard and District of Columbia Universities. Multiple bus stops are cross the street, few minutes away from Brookland and Rhode Island metro stops. Brookland metro station offers a free shuttle to major hospitals close by such as MedStar, Children and VA Hospitals.

This gorgeous home has been updated over the years to bring a truly special offering. This home features a large front patio for enjoying the morning coffee. A large and fenced in back yard provides kids a place to play. It will also provide you a great place to enjoy summer BBQ parties and a fire pit in the fall. This house has an on-premises parking, and the area offers free off-street parking.
