This was our second time to stay here, we love the proximity to the lake and Stockton city. While we were here we stayed outside as much as possible, the weather was great and it was so peaceful. This is a great place to relax and enjoy the country setting, and watch the hummingbirds.

The property was beautiful inside and out. I didn’t do much research before booking so I didn’t realize it was on several miles of dirt road. Kitchen was well supplied. Overall wonderful stay.

Beautiful Location

Mutton Creek Getaway was the perfect location for our family of 5 to spend our mini vacation. It was close to Stockton Lake but secluded from everything.

Great place to unwind and enjoy nature. Close to the marina for boating and fishing and plenty of room to get trailers in and out. Will definitely be back!

Our story

After visiting the area for more than 15 years for turkey hunting, we finally found a cabin to call our getaway cabin! We purchased the 20-acre property in July 2021 and personally spent three months renovating the neglected home inside and out as well as the grounds. We have poured ourselves in to making the cabin nice for guests as well as our friends and family. We hope you enjoy the Mutton Creek Getaway as much as we already have in the short time we've owned it!
