Cozy Apartment in Historic Hyde Park South Tampa

This first floor vintage 1949 apartment is very cute and cozy and is in the charming and safe, tree-lined historic district of Hyde Park in South Tampa. It is within walking distance to many great restaurants, shops, parks, entertainment venues, and fabulous Bayshore Boulevard, which has 4 beautiful miles of continuous waterfront sidewalk.

The apartment is on the first floor of a quiet 5-plex, It has tile floors, its own washer/dryer, a fully equipped kitchen, two ceiling fans, two mini-split air conditioning/heating units, cable, Wi-Fi and its own dedicated off-street parking space (one parking space for each of the 5 units).

There is a covered front porch/laundry room area for the exclusive use of guests in this unit. It also includes a family room, kitchen, small dining table with two chairs, a hallway with a storage closet, a bedroom with a dresser, bedside tables and a closet, and a full bathroom which includes a combination shower/tub.

All guests staying in all units of the 5-plex have shared use of the concrete table/benches in the front yard of the property.

Entry to the premises is via a digital keyless entry system. Prior to check-in, I will provide each renter with their own unique entry code, which will only be valid during the length of their stay. I will always be available via cell phone/email for any inquiries that guests may have. I also live within 5 minutes of the property and will be available in-person on most occasions. I love to help visitors make the most of their stay in Tampa!

A perfectly wonderful location!

We had a couple of days before leaving on a cruise and looked for a VRBO that would be close to lots of things to do. The Hyde Park area was absolutely perfect! We were able to walk to a nearby shopping/restaurant area that was buzzing, hip, and relaxed. When we got in the car, it was easy to reach most of the sites in Tampa we’d decided on ahead of time that we wanted to see. (Go see the Tampa History Center! And eat lunch at its Columbia Cafe!) As for the home itself, it was adorable with all its vintage, original features. I loved the teal and black tile in the bathroom and the original kitchen cabinets. It was super comfy to watch some shows in the evening on the big-screen TV, and the bed was wonderfully comfy too. Outside is a concrete table where you can sit and enjoy the warm breeze with a cocktail or glass of wine. We met several others staying in the adjacent units who had signed up for long-term stays (several weeks to several months), which is an obvious sign that the place is well-located. (One was an older woman who didn’t have a car and said she walked to everything she needed to see!) The photos perfectly matched what we experienced. The owners are lovely and extremely dedicated to staying in touch and making sure you have everything you need. We will definitely stay there again should we visit Tampa (and we definitely plan to!).

Lovely location in a nice Neighborhood

The location is great for us being close to family and to Bayshore for walking. It's also walking distance to Hyde Park with lots of shops and restaurants. The space works well for us, but it may be time for a bathroom update. The owners are very nice and responsive which is much appreciated. We've stayed at this property several times and we'd be happy to stay here again. Thanks for a nice visit! :-)

cozy place, great location

A cozy apartment with a great location. Good property for an individual or a couple. Walking distance to Hyde Park Village and Berns Steakhouse. A few blocks from the water front! Great host who has thought of it all

Nice Stay

I stayed in the Cozy Apartment to visit family. It's in a great location and having the washer & dryer is a plus. The kitchen had everything I needed and there was plenty of room. Thanks for a nice stay. :-)

Disappointed Destination

The apartment building looked NOTHING like the picture on your website! The whole apartment inside and out needs refurbishing. The landscape was overgrown and needs to be weeded, raked and cleaned! Bath Tub had rust in it. Kitchen cabinets did not close! Door leading into apartment looked to be 50+ years and needed repair. The one good thing to say of this apartment was its location! For us it was a once and done! Suggest someone from Vrbo visit the site!

Great Location

Charming apartment just blocks off Bayfront Drive. Great neighborhood with lots of restaurants and shopping within walking/biking distance. Clean and comfortable and the a/c works great!

Perfect location for walking everywhere!

It is exactly as depicted - and a great location for the price. The unit is a bit dated but is clean & comfortable and has everything needed. The A/C units worked great, the kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of towels. The manager communicated all details needed and had very prompt responses to questions. Even though it is a multi-family unit, it was very quiet and the parking spot was readily available. We would stay here again for sure!

Third Visit

We've stayed here several times and it doesn't disappoint. We love the location being close to Bayshore and downtown Tampa. The kitchen had everything we needed and we really enjoyed our stay. :-)

Wonderful Location

The property was just what we were looking for! We were in town for a convention and we were able to walk to the convention center. Even at night, we felt comfortable walking back to our place. Each evening, we sat outside and enjoyed the quiet neighborhood (and the neighborhood cat-very loving!).

Very cute little place

Nice and clean property. My husband and I were able to walk to restaurants and save money on Uber’s due to the close location. The airport Uber ride was cheap because it was only 15 minutes away and the process of getting to the Ride Share area in the Tampa International airport was very simple and easy to find. The house design reminds me of a retro 1950’s style house design with what might look like original kitchen cabinets(?). They don’t build them like they used to! Bathroom has the old tiles that my Grandma had in her house. This was a nostalgic little place to stay at with old fashioned turn style, crank windows.

Charming location

This property is in a great location and close to many activities. If you like shopping or taking beautiful walks throughout the neighborhood or by the nearby water this is the place for you. The host is very responsive and responds immediately to any questions. I was here for work and will stay again.

We loved the location and cleanliness of the apartment.

It’s a bit outdated, but for the price, I understand. The only issue we encountered was the bathroom door. It pops open after it has been securely closed. The door needs to be fixed. Otherwise, expect to expose yourself during compromising times. It happened to all of us.

Weekend getaway

Great property. Clean. Walkable to restaurants, stores, beautiful waterfront walking/biking path. Quick to get downtown. Absolutely thought of everything including bottled water. Owner was quick to respond and access was flawless and secure. I would definitely rent again when I return to the Tampa area.

We had a really nice stay and the VRBO had everything we needed. We were close to Bayshore so we could take some pretty walks and we could also walk to lots of dining options in the SOHO area. Thanks for a wonderful visit!

Hands down best stay

This was my husband's and I 2nd stay at Jennifer's property. I almost don't want to leave a great review for fear it'll be booked the next time we visit, but I can't keep this place a secret. This place is amazing! We were in walking distance to so many spots and made friends at each one. I even bonded with a neighborhood cat that came around. The apartment was clean, smelled good, and accommodating. This neighborhood is so beautiful to walk around and enjoy. Jennifer always kept us up to date and responded immediately to my comments. No need to ask questions as the instructions for entry were clear from the get go. If you're staying in Tampa, you need to stay here.

So perfect!

This property is everything the description says it…no disappointments or complaints. It was very clean, safe and beautifully decorated, and I had everything I needed to make my stay simple and cozy. Great spot for anyone wanting to start their day with a jog, or end their day with a stroll along Bayshore Drive and the beautiful Hyde Park neighborhood. Jen was a great host & I really look forward to stay here again!

Location, location, location! It is a cute home in the middle of the historic district. Hyde Park is one of Tampa's most charming areas, a walking neighborhood with tree-lined streets, restaurants of all classes, clubs for the younger set, and shopping for all. The Sunday Farmer's market is very popular, and Bayshore Blvd is truly a gem.
