It is all automatic so no need to do anything. Highland Koselig Lodge is on top of a Smoky Mountain ridge with an amazing view! Elevator to all 3 floor 3 enclosed king bedrooms 1 bunk room with a curtain 1 double bed in a nook with curtain 2 futons in the loft with linens in the closet a queen sleeper sofa (linens close) in the lower-level game room with Pool Table/Ping Pong HOT TUB corn hole and Foosball at this level. In the gated community of Shagbark off Wears Valley Road. Four bathrooms 3 with walk-in showers main floor master bath handicap assessable. nThere is a well-equipped kitchen. You will find both Keurig and Mr. Coffee style coffee pots some k-cup pods in different flavors creamer pods sugar and sweetener packets also some snacks to start your stay. There is a basket of beach towels for the hot tub hand pump soap at each sink small soap packages paper towels. 2 new toilet paper in each bathroom dish soap and dishwasher pods. nShagbark is a 1300 acre animal sanctuary resort with forests creeks and mountain views in the Smoky Mountains. Enjoy the Community swimming pool Memorial Day to Labor Day tennis court Basketball goal Pickel Ball by the pool and frisbee golf cornhole game playground and creek with minnows and crayfish in a meadow area between the Security gate and Community Center. Shagbark is an animal sanctuary where you might see bears wild turkey possums and racoons only minutes from Gatlinburg the Smoky Mountain National Park or Pigeon Forge. This cabin is in a very private setting - a Smoky Mountain High.

Absolutely amazing stay! The property was exactly as advertised, and everything was clean, comfortable, and well taken care of. The price was great for what we received, and there were no surprises at all. It’s always nice when a place actually lives up to the description—and this one exceeded our expectations. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay!

There is a picture on the site looking down at the driveway. Not for the faint of heart but worth the View and elevator.

This place was amazing. The views were more than awesome. Cathy was very descriptive in her direction and were on point. Great communication. The hardest thing for us was the distance from attractions. Would definitely visit again.

The house was clean and nice, the listing showing a 5 bedroom however is inaccurate. Two of the Five “bedrooms” do not have doors just a curtain. In my opinion that shouldn’t be considered a “room”. One of them is just a bed in a corner with a curtain, that is very misleading from the 5 bedroom documented.

So glad you enjoyed Highland Koselig Lodge. First time up is intimidating but worth the drive. You can see into Kentucky on a clear day. The elevator makes settling in so easy.

Highland Koselig Lodge is near the top of the ridge in the Shagbark community. You can see for miles with this amazing view. The elevator makes using this 3 story cabin a breeze.

Family Mountain Getaway

Our family group of 12 (grandparents to age 2) was comfortably accommodated in this beautiful, spacious cabin. The only downside is an initially very intimidating drive to access the property but we made the adjustment! We would definitely stay here again.

Lots of room and spectacular views.

Great cabin for a large family or multiple couples. Plenty of sleeping spots and bathrooms which was great. Love the cabin/ lodge feel inside and the huge fireplace. Kids loved all the games and old vhs movies that were there.

Very secluded

Although the drive up to the property was a bit nerve-wracking, the quietness and views were amazing. The price and amenities were well worth it. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

Cathy is awesome! She is so easy to work with and she responds quickly. The cabin is amazing! We had 10 family members and there was more than enough room! 3 of the family members are handicapped and the elevator was so helpful to us!! We could not have gotten everyone in a cabin otherwise. The only down side was that it is so far up the mountain and it took forever to get to and from it. But we would gladly give up the location for the comfort and elevator. We hope to stay there again soon!

Fantastic View on top of the Mountain

We enjoyed our stay and the view from the top of the smokies was beautiful. We were a group of 10 and had more than enough room for everyone to have privacy. The elevator was a very welcome extra as we had elderly family that was not hindered by any stairs. We would highly recommend this property for a large family group.

The elevator mays a big difference when taking food to the kitchen and conquering the many stairs in this great cabin.

The owner spent several years making this amazing cabin happen. He saved the log for the mantle and mounted bear for just this great room. With four children and many grandchildren the cabin is designed with space for families to spread out.
