Welcome to our 1945 modern country home! Our house has the best of both worlds, original shiplap mixed with modern amenities and will surely speak to everyone in the group. We are just a few miles away from downtown Waco in a quiet neighborhood so you can enjoy the peacefulness of a sunset on our screened in back porch all while still being close to everything Waco has to offer. We hope our home will help bring long lasting memories during your stay!

Our place has the modern country feel with a little bit of fun added to make it family friendly!

Please note- our beds include 1 King, 1 Queen, 2 Doubles, 1 Twin, 2 Twin Rollaways, and 1 crib.

The master bedroom/bathroom are on the first floor along with the half bathroom. Three more bedrooms and a full bath are on the second floor.

PLEASE READ BELOW RULES BEFORE BOOKING:

-PARKING:
Parking allows for a max of FOUR vehicles. We have a large driveway where all cars must park. There is no street parking allowed on our street and no parking in our front yard. If there are more than four cars traveling in, please plan accordingly to park any additional cars elsewhere.

-We have another short term rental (a tiny house) that is right next door. Please be respectful of our guests staying there and give them their privacy. The only shared space you will have with the tiny house is the entrance to the main driveway.

-Absolutely no parties or events!! We are not equipped to host large gatherings and do not allow additional people other than the those who are included on the reservation!!

-CHILDREN:
The house is child friendly, and you are welcome to bring children of any age (we have a 3 year old ourselves!), but please be aware the house is not "childproof"- there are stairs (a baby gate is provided at the stairs), we do have potted plants, and books and other decorative items within reach. It is your responsibility to evaluate the suitability of the property for your kids' needs.

-PETS:
We allow up to 2 pets however, they are only allowed on the first floor and in the backyard. Please no pets upstairs on the carpet or on the furniture in the house.

-Quiet Hours- 10:00pm - 6:00am

-No smoking (including vaping) inside the house.

-No fires in the fireplace and no portable firepits for the yard.

Charming Home

The Shiplap Cottage was truly charming! It was very clean and had the perfect amount of bedrooms for our family Christmas get together. The kids as well as the adults enjoyed the board games and video games. Would definitely stay here again!!!

Roomy and Functional

This is one of our favorite VRBO properties. Our dog loved the big fenced in backyard and the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful.A grocery store is less than five minutes away.

The Exact Comfort We Needed

The beautiful and cozy home was exactly what our family needed during one of the hardest times in our lives. The house was extremely clean, comfortable, and inviting. The host was very pleasant and understanding. We couldn't have wished for anything more!

Quick Trip for a Tournament

We had a varied group of adults and teens due to a tournament we were attending. The house afforded us the ability to have some privacy and common spaces while everyone had plenty of space to crash as well.

Perfect for our Baylor family plus dog

This is our fifth year with a student at Baylor and the first time we stayed outside of Waco. We got a puppy last spring that we want to take with us on travels, so we had to switch to booking dog friendly properties. Despite being outside of Waco, the location is a vers easy drive to Baylor and downtown. Plenty of room for our family and loved the big fenced in backyard for our pup (he loved it too!) we didn’t do any cooking this time, but the kitchen is well equipped. Also liked the large driveway with lots of parking, and the in back porch. Everyone remarked that it was nice to stay somewhere quiet without street traffic noises. Will definitely stay again!

Love the Shiplap!

The house is located just outside of Waco in Robinson. The neighborhood is quite and feels like being in the country, but you are only minutes of everything you need in Waco. The house is spacious with plenty of room for family members to spread out. The screened porch was a favorite of mine and the kids. The kids also enjoyed the arcade will we watched the Mavericks win the Western Conference Finals in the comfortable media room. If you like the look of the house on the listing, you won't be disappointed when you arrive. Great place and made some good memories!

House was beautiful, everything was great family had a great stay big backyard that the dogs were able to run around. Location was great HEB close by for food and supplies. Meryl was great in communicating with me and we will definitely stay again next time we are in Waco!

Weekend in Waco

Came into town for Labor Day weekend to visit Waco. This rental was super cute, just outside of Waco on a quiet street. Close to everything we wanted to get to, had everything we needed, check in was super easy and really good communication from the property owner. We’d definitely consider staying here again!

Roomy and well-supplied

This is a roomy house and everything was in order, including live plants. K-cup coffee pods were supplied as were hand soaps in all bathrooms and the kitchen. Every cleaning and laundry product you would ever need were also provided. We typically don't wash clothes on a three-night stay, but I stained a white golf shirt and had everything I needed to treat the stain and wash/dry. This property is away from noise in a semi-rural setting and is easily accessible from the roomy concrete driveway and parking area. The entry lock is easy to use and the best system we've seen, after wrestling with others that were not as simple and intuitive. The host was very responsive and made us feel welcome. I would highly recommend this property to couples who like to spread out and families that need three bedrooms and rollaways.

Lovely house for family

When we first walked in we were so pleased. The house is well decorated with plenty of space for a larger family. We had 3 adults and 3 children in our party and the house worked well for us. The large yard was great for outdoor play, and the sun porch was nice for those of us who wanted to stay a bit cooler under the shade and ceiling fan. The large soaker tub in the master bathroom was a huge hit. As was the arcade games upstairs. This house is lovely, we highly recommend.

Perfect Waco stay!

This farmhouse was perfect for our girl’s trip. The decor, cleanliness, and very roomy feel was fantastic. The owners communicated with us easily. The home is well stocked for every need and could accommodate easily more than our 3 adults and 2 babies. Super comfy beds in each room. We will definitely stay here again.

Farmhouse Decor

We couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay. The owner was very gracious and accommodating. We loved the house and the amenities shared from the owner. We certainly would recommend this VRBO rental.

Hi, I'm Meryl! I live in Robinson, TX - just outside of Downtown Waco. I am originally from Grapevine, TX and have lived in this great state my whole life. My fiancé Andrew, (co-host) works for the Fire Department and I am a stay at home mom to our two year old son. I also love redoing furniture, anything DIY, and find joy in thrifting and showing how to design on a dime! We both love traveling, being outdoors, and are always looking for our next adventure. We would love to host your next VRBO stay :)

Our home is a short drive to downtown Waco, about 10 minutes until you are in the middle of everything! Then come back to our quiet neighborhood to a home that is relaxing, comfortable, and full of character!

Our home truly speaks to everyone in the group-
We have areas for sitting and relaxing, areas for games/movies, a full kitchen, a dining area, a laundry room with washer and dryer, and a spacious backyard with yard games. Sit on the screened in back porch or lay in the hammock and watch the sunset!

Our sleeping areas include-
-Master Bedroom (1st floor): King Bed

Bedroom #1 (2nd floor): Queen Bed
Bedroom #2 (2nd floor): 1 Full bed, 1 Twin bed
-2 Twin rollaway's that can be placed anywhere

-We do allow pets! There is a MAX of 2 pets per booking. We just ask that they stay on the first floor and off of the furniture.

-We have a spacious driveway for your parking needs however, there is a MAX of 4 cars per booking. We live on a street that does not allow street parking so all cars must be parked in the driveway and we need to assure there is plenty of room for people to still get in/out of the driveway comfortably.

-We do have a tiny house on the premises that could be occupied by a different rental group during your stay and we ask that you respect their privacy and be mindful of the noise level. The only thing that is shared with the tiny house is the entry to the driveway, otherwise it is completely separate.
