A cozy, newly renovated cabin with rustic Adirondack charm located steps away from the Ausable River with a view of Whiteface Mountain. It features a beautiful living space with a fully equipped kitchen. Located just 12 miles from Whiteface Mt and 20 miles from Lake Placid.

We are often at our private home on the property, about 40ft from your cabin, and we're happy to help with anything that may arise. Otherwise, we're only a phone call away. Please enjoy your time here–we want to respect your privacy and enable you to enjoy the serenity. Feel free to let us know if you have any questions or check with us on our schedule.

Pricing note: Our base rate is for 1 guest. An additional $20/night applies for a second guest. Vrbo displays this as an “additional guest fee,” which can be confusing. For this cabin (max 2 adults), this simply reflects pricing for 1 vs 2 guests, not extra visitors beyond capacity.

Couldn’t ask for a better spot! The cabin is as wonderful as the photos indicate. It is also amazing that you can bring your furry friend and that there is a dedicated trail that you’re welcome to use as a guest of the host right around the property. Host is super friendly and communicative!

What a treat!! Such a beautiful cabin in a spectacular setting. The Ausable River is right outside the door and a short walk to an easy access fly fishing pool.Close to many High Peak trailheads and fabulous restaurants around the corner. (15 minutes).This place is a gem! Scot the host is wonderful to work with and always a call away!Definitely will be returning soon!!

Cozy riverfront cottage with amazing views to the west. Sunsets are awesome. Everything you need is there and the cabin is perfect for 1-2 people - especially a romantic weekend away! Fire pit was in a great spot and made for great evenings after a day enjoying the Adirondacks. Groceries and restaurants were nearby. Scot was attentive and checked in but we didn't need anything

Scot was a fantastic host, the property was extremely peaceful, comfortable, and exactly what we wanted it to be for our stay. Our favorite part of our day was eating breakfast on the deck and walking down to the river to read by the peaceful river. Would strongly recommend a stay here.

Great Cabin

We stayed for 2 nights and it was fantastic. Good idea to come with some groceries for sure. We brought a few meals with us and had a wonderful stay. The hiking is beautiful in the area also.

Great vacation

Wife and I had a fantastic time here! The property was very clean. The cabin was cozy and the amenities were fantastic for the space. The West Branch Ausable was high during our stay but we still managed to get some good fishing in, as well as plenty of relaxation.

Great stay!

Perfect spot to come back to after a couple days of banging out high peaks. I felt right at home in this cozy cabin, a much needed respite after a summer of fieldwork. Super clean, and a great option for solo travelers or couples looking for a couple days away from the grind.

The Riverfront Retreat was the perfect place to relax after a day of hiking and enjoying a trip to Lake Placid. We enjoyed the relaxing sounds of the river near by, the comfort of the cabin and the view of the mountains. The host was great to work with and answered pretty quickly to our messages. Definitely would recommend to others.

This cabin was beautiful exactly as the pictures indicated. It was right on the river and absolutely beautiful. It was fully equipped with everything needed. We cant wait to go back.

One of the only cabins on the west branch Ausable with direct, unobstructed views of the river from the porch and bedroom. This cabin is located approximately 80-feet from the world-famous Ausable River. A rustic blend of comfort and charm. Take a stroll on wooded dirt roads or walk to world class fly fishing. Enjoy the surrounding communities of Jay, Wilmington, and Lake Placid, which offer fine food, recreation, and beauty. The cabin was designed for Adirondack enjoyment from reading a good book to climbing the highest peak–and don't forget…fly fishing!

The cabin has a kitchen with everything you might need, including a toaster and microwave. Linens and towels are provided for your convenience. In-cabin bathroom includes a shower. Outdoor fire pit available just beyond a small deck overlooking the river. Enjoy your morning coffee walking along the bank of the beautiful Ausable River.
