The Commodore East is the perfect large group vacation destination. This 5-bedroom 4 bath beach front duplex has all the elements needed for a fabulous beach vacation. Be sure to check out the "Rachel", a schooner that ran aground in 1923 and has been parked in front of the Commodore ever since.

The first level of this duplex sports incredible views with a wall of windows. When you are seated at the massive dining table, you'll be able to dine with a great view. There is additional counter seating so everyone can enjoy mealtime together. The kitchen has a unique, large prep counter for those nights when you are staying in for dinner. Or it can serve as a convenient buffet counter for casual dining. You'll be pleased to discover all new hard surface flooring, granite, stainless steel appliances and interior paint throughout.

There is also a large pantry, washer and dryer and full bath on this first level.

Head to the second level and you'll find the primary suite. A king size bed and balcony access make this the perfect retreat. The full bath features a garden tub, double vanity, stall shower and private water closet.

Also on the second level are two king rooms that share a hall bath.

Continue on to the third level and you'll discover the bunkroom and another room with a king bed. The bunkroom houses two twin/twin/twin bunks and a full/ full bunk with twin trundle.

Labor Day Getaway

We stayed at this property over labor day weekend and had an absolutely great time. The house was fully stocked with all the pots, pans, dishes and towels we needed. We can't wait to come stay again!

Perfect for large groups

We were very pleased with our stay. We had a large group full of adults and children. We enjoyed the large inside space, large table and private beach. Renters were very responsive. Easy check in and out process!

Beach front is perfect for the kids and then to run in and grab lunch!!!! Does need an overall deep cleaning and updates.

Almost perfect!!!

Beautiful home and perfect location. The view is amazing from both balconies. I love to cook and was glad to have everything one would need. Plenty of dishes and silverware as well. The only issue is it’s a duplex. I’m sure that’s not usually a problem but if there’s a group of teens next door to you that run up and down the stairs you will hear them.

Beautiful Condo!

Beautiful condo. Busy location on the beach. Parking deck is crazy. Didn’t like wearing the bracelet for condo. Great for kids. Pricey when you add in all of the fees…especially for parking. That should be included in the rate!

This house needs some fixes. Dishwasher holds water which smells. Third floor is a mess that room with 8 beds is the worst. Roof has yellow spots and we found all kinds of trash behind the beds. Impossible to regulate the air conditioning. We had fun but the house was not our favorite.

Family vacay

Reviewer Comments: The living room rug was wet, you could tell they had just mopped before we got there- and that’s ok...just not ok to have a soaking wet rug. The doors out onto the balcony on the main floor don’t really stay closed if it’s windy. You have to dead bolt it. Tons of air flows through non stop. The dryer doesn’t work too well and leave lint all over everything. The beds are super loud, but ok for a week stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Generally every other year our three grown daughters and their families join us at the Fort Morgan coast. This is the first stay at the Commodore East and Coastal Vacations. The location was ideal directly on the beachfront, newly decorated, and very spacious for our 16 people. The huge bunk room with 6 twins and 2 full-size bunk were great for all the kids. The management team was awesome, always helpful and quick to respond. A great choice for us this year.

I won’t go here again

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Because this is a duplex and because the neighbors liked to be loud, we we’re always surrounded by noise. We came to listen to the beautiful beach, but instead heard music from downstairs around the cars, music on the outside balcony, and from the tv inside all at the same time.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is amazing! Awesome views, clean house, quiet beach, and fast response from owners. The only suggestion so would have is to add a chest of drawers for clothing storage to each of the bedrooms. It could be placed in the closet. It was not ideal for the adults that weren’t in the master to have to live out of their suitcase all week. This was a minor inconvenience, though, and all agreed we will be back!!

Spring Break Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The vacation home and area was nice. It’s a duplex home. I’m assuming it was well insulated and sound proof between the two bc we had kids and the neighbors had bigger dogs. We didn’t hear them. It was far from the main stores/restaurants than what I expected but nice at the same time. We had a peaceful beach front. There’s construction next door and further down on the upcoming beach homes early in the morning to late at night at times. They would park near the driveway. The home looked just like the pictures. When we arrived, we cleaned up a bit bc there was still sand on the floors, stairs, and couches. The kitchen was equipped with cookware and plenty of cups/plates/silverware when we would cook. Overall, it was a nice beachfront, away from the public crowded beaches.
