Beautiful cabin in the heart of Ohio's Amish Country

Our property is a beautiful log cabin in the heart of Ohio's Amish Country (Fredericksburg area.)

**We are looking for quiet families who will respect our property and more importantly be good neighbors while they are staying. We are very firm on our policy of no smoking, no parties, no pets and no alcohol. People who don't comply with these rules will be asked to leave.*** NO SUNDAY CHECK IN

This cabin has been a very successful VRBO location for the past two years. We don't have reviews due to the fact that this property has transferred ownership recently. Prior to this, the cabin has enjoyed a five star review rating under Timothy's Farmstead.

Our cabin is a quiet location surrounded by Amish farms and amazing views of the countryside. There are no shared properties or cabins like many other VRBO rentals. Our cabin sits on 2 acres and is surrounded by hundreds of acres of farm lands and woods. It is a nice quiet getaway that truly is one of a kind. We have a wood stove, wifi (although it's not the fastest), a huge wrap around deck with plenty of seats to enjoy the outdoors, and a spotless interior that is sanitized prior to each guests arrival.

The interior of the cabin is a gorgeous layout that is comparable to some of the lodge style mountain cabins with a large open great room, cathedral ceilings, and a beautiful private sunroom where you can enjoy the birds, wildlife (deer & wild turkeys) and the many other animals that will often walk by. We have a rescued outdoor kitty named Ricky who loves being fed by the guests.

The cabin has two bedrooms downstairs and a large open great room that has two queen beds and a half bathroom

The interior of the cabin is warm, cozy and has farmhouse themed decor. All of the beds are from Amish Country bedding and we constantly get compliments on how comfortable they are.

Our cabin sits far off the roadway and is on a quiet backroad with minimal traffic and more buggies going by than vehicles.

Amazing Getaway

Several old high school friends got together to catch up after many years. This was the perfect way to get away from the hustle and bustle and just relax and chat. So many areas to sit outside or inside weather depending. We happened to have fabulous weather. Ricky the visiting cat was super friendly. Would definitely come back.

Weekend Getaway

We enjoyed the privacy off the property, the cabin was clean and ready for us when we arrived. Our grandson who is 3 enjoyed the swing set and also getting to feed Ricky.

Annual Sister Trip

Sisters and sister-in-law annual getaway to such a wonderful cabin! I was sick and didn’t get to attend but they sent me pictures and called with updates of the great time they were having. Cooking hotdogs over the fire, sightseeing, visiting a museum, plus the restaurants! Will schedule again for next year!

Another wonderful stay!

We really enjoyed our weekend at the cabin! As this was our second visit, we knew what to expect and that was a quiet, cozy, cabin that is clean and family friendly. And there was no disappointment upon arrival. If I had to point out anything, it would be the two beds up in the loft that are on either side of the window. They are just not comfortable. However, that could be a personal opinion. Aside from that, we had a relaxing and restorative time and will definitely choose this cabin for our next quick getaway. Oh, and we were happy to see Ricky again. He is just the sweetest.

Peacefull retreat for family

We have stayed at this location multipe times and enjoyed ourselves immensely both times. Loved the swingset, fire pit area, and both decks. The sunsets our beautiful on back deck. We enjoyed the great room for whole family fun Very clean and just close enough to nice public pool and shopping day trips.

Amazing place

Wes has a beautiful property, it's very peaceful and is a perfect place to enjoy nature and it's still close enough to town to get stuff you need. We would definitely stay here again when we come back . The cabin was exactly has described. Thank you Wes. God Bless

Quiet and peaceful stay in Amish country

What a great house in Amish country! Quiet and peaceful, our family had a really nice time together here. Good spaces for hanging out… living room, sun room and patio. It had all the spaces we needed. Every now and again from the patio you’d hear the clip clop of a horse and buggy go by out on the road. So fun!

Weekend away

Nice cabin and property. Very well kept with all comforts of home. Lots of nice touches to make us feel welcome. Good location that's easy to get to. It's a pleasant spot that's near local tourist areas. We really enjoyed our visit.

Little things

Could have been a little cleaner. Found a piece of toast in the toaster. Wish there was a tv. All in al it was very peaceful and relaxing. Would recommend it to other people. Adored Ricky the cat.

Very nice

Great place for family/kids. The kids enjoyed the playground, lots of room outside to run around and the big loft (and Ricky the cat). Not shown in pics was a nice little pavilion and heavy duty fire pit that you could also cook on if you wanted. The sunroom was also a hit for the rainy times and also when it was nice out to look at the beautiful view.

Third Visit

This was our third visit. Cabin is so very beautiful and the surrounding area just as nice. Love the new shelter house and picnic table. We cooked hotdogs over the fire pit the first night. They even had a package of chocolate chip cookies for us upon our arrival. Everyone loves the “resident cat” Ricky. We’ll probably stay three nights next year instead of the two nights this past three years.

Quiet Oasis

Whether enjoying an evening around the fire with family or relaxing after a long day of work, this is a great property for someone seeking peace and quiet. The house has many amenities making it easy to cook a meal or there are plenty of unique restruants nearby in Wooster.

Quiet Retreat Close to Amish Country

We stayed in this house for a weekend trip to Amish Country. The location was quiet and peaceful, with plenty of space for two families. The patio with fire pit, porch, and play set were wonderful. The kitchen was nice and large, and the living room furniture was very comfortable! We had a difficult time figuring out some of the light switches, but were very pleased over all.

Beautiful cabin in quiet setting

Here's my honest review....only one shower for our family of 8 so we had to plan bathroom time but the 1/2 bath upstairs was very helpful. There are no TVs (but we appreciated that actually) or dishwasher, I didn't expect that. I recommend the owners provide a map or instructions on where to find the outdoor light's switch because we loved using the firepit in the evenings but it took us a while to locate the timer thing. The beds were super comfortable and the kitchen was very well equipped. Was thrilled to find out the cabin had a keurig AND regular coffee pot and TONS of towels. I will be bringing laundry detergent next time too because the laundry area in the basement will be handy. I was surprised however that I didn't get a response from the owner when I asked a few specifics the day before our stay but was relieved the cabin had what we had asked the owner. My teens loved Ricky and enjoyed playing the outdoor games. Overall, we were very satisfied with this cabin. I highly recommend it over a hotel stay for sure unless you want TV or a pool.

Weekend With family

Our stay was wonderful, we rented the cabin for a weekend. To visit Sugarcreek and Berlin, OH. The best part of the trip was the nights we spent at the cabin around the fire. It was peaceful and beautiful. The accommodations were wonderful. Ricky the cat is precious. I would definitely rent again.

Perfect long weekend getaway!

This cabin exceeded my expectations! The cabin and land provided endless fun and memories! We let our three kids all bring a friend and we didn’t get an “I’m bored” out of a 16,14,13,12,10 and 10 year olds even once! They stayed busy playing wiffle ball, corn hole, capture the flag… the cabin size was perfect for our needs! And my husband Ricky enjoyed visits from “Ricky” the cat. We will be back!!!

Beautiful property

Highly recommend this property. The house was super cozy and being on 2 acres made it very secluded. The fire pit was perfect and lots of wood was supplied to burn. We had five adults and one baby and still plenty of room for more. We will be back next year. Ricky the cat who also lives outside was an added plus. Super friendly.
