Hello, I’m Lamar, I’ve lived in the Holmes County, Ohio area my entire life.
I spent my formative years growing up on a dairy farm just outside of Mt. Hope where we milked around 50 cows.
In 2006, Dad was forced to sell the farm due to being injured in an incident on the farm.
At that point in time, I was first introduced to the world of hospitality when my parents bought a 56-acre property, Tranquil Acres Cabins, where we have rental cabins.
For years I observed them running Tranquil Acres, and occasionally helping with projects that my Dad needed help with while working other jobs.
In more recent years, I have become increasingly involved in daily operations.
In October 2021 my father, Jesse passed away from Covid-19, from that point on, life radically changed and I have been at my Mothers side in the hospitality business, 7 ways a week ever since.
The thing I enjoy the most about hospitality is the opportunity to meet great people from other states and even internationally.
