We had a wonderful stay in this large and comfortable home. The family friendly downstairs area provided evenings of fun for our three generations. Eric was a perfect host and made sure that our every need was met. We hope to return!

We really enjoyed our family vacation. The way the house was divided was perfect as we had 4 generations from age 1 to 80. Thank you Eric for being a great host.

Fun ski weekend getaway

A long weekend enjoyed with 3 families! Location was perfect! We enjoyed easy access to the ski slopes and tubing. Host was easy to work with. We can't wait to come back next year!

Wonderful stay!

We so enjoyed our stay! The host was wonderful to work with and responded quickly to our needs. We had a little trouble with the cleaning crew but it was promptly taken care of.

This property is great for large groups. It has plenty of entertainment for kids and adults alike. There is a fully stocked kitchen and the host is awesome!

Great Family Space

We had 2 families, with teenagers, for a long weekend. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out and enjoy their own spaces. It's just close enough to Boone to enjoy on campus activities, just far enough a way to feel tucked away.

Great for the whole family

We loved having plenty of space and beds for our family get together and really appreciated the kids toys and equipment. It was really peaceful sitting out on the deck and making use of the grill. The location was also close to everything we wanted to do. We had such a good time!

Perfect spot for a family getaway! The house is amazing! There is lots to do for all ages! From the game room, board games, pool table to just relaxing on the deck! The whole family enjoyed everything! Eric is the best host! Very quick to respond to any questions or concerns and so helpful! We can’t wait to go back!

Definitely recommendable. House was definitely clean, plenty of space for a big family. Minor issues such as internet connection. The host was great with communication and willing to fix any problems that we came across.

Nice roomy house

Enjoyed the downstairs pool table, movie (theater type) room, and the toys in the kids room. Also we had tons of kitchen supplies.

Family ski vacation

House was just as it was advertised, very accommodating for our large party of 14. Very close to all things fun and any stores we needed. Host was very quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Check out was easy and quick!

Great Layout and Location

Our group consisted of 3 families with kids ranging from 1 to 12 years of age. The layout of the house was great for the group. The host responded quickly to all questions, and the house was conveniently located to several area attractions. One thing to note, if staying during snowy/icy conditions you will need four wheel drive and/or tire chains.

Thank you so much, Kary. Our home is definitely perfect for families of all sizes and ages. We do agree that if you're traveling in the mountains during the winter time, you should be using 4 wheel drive or have a good set of chains.

It even included toys for the grandkids!!!

The place was great! We had our two married kids and our grandkids aged 7 months to 8yo. The game room was great but the toy trucks that are in the bedroom with the bunk beds were the real hit!! The place was really well stocked, clean and communication with the host was very great. We would definitely stay again!

AWESOME GETAWAY

We enjoyed our stay at Land of Oz. The children and adults enjoyed the downstairs sitting area and game room. Plenty of room for all us beautiful location and great parking for four vehicles. There are a few minor things that needed fixing but over all great place!! The owner was always quick to respond to any concerns. Thanks for welcoming us into your home!!

Awesome House!

Our group of seven, go to an ASU game every season for the past 15 years. We always rent a cabin or house during this time. We found this awesome house for this year and has been one of your favorite! It's very clean and nicely decorated, great patio with outside grill. I would highly recommend someone staying here! Great mountain experience

The house is very toddler friendly with outlet covers, stair gate, and toys to help occupy busy little hands. House has plenty of space for families. Communication with the property owner was outstanding and appreciated. With other homes nearby we still never really heard any noise, except for falling acorns. Tons of things to do in area. Would not hesitate to rebook if in the area again.

Twin Cubs Cabin Review

Property was accurate to pictures and description. We stayed with our 4 kids ages 8, 6, 3, and 16M. Downstairs was a perfect set up with older kids and they really enjoyed the toys and games. Baby gate was great for the stairs with the baby. House was clean and well stocked for cooking at home. Location was perfect to get to Boone, Banner Elk, Blowing Rock, and Grandfather mountain easily. There are a few easy short hikes to do with kids near by (Otter Falls Trail and Crab Orchard Falls trail both within 20 mins).

Hidden Gem Winter retreat

very spacious home and perfect for kids/toddlers. location was close to everything (grandfather mountain / boone / blowing rock etc). the host was an excellent communicator. our stay involved over a foot of snow so our kids had a blast sledding the hills by the clubhouse. the host had on call a plow and salt service to ensure we had easy access to the driveway at all times. the only advice if you are travelling in the winter and there is snow/ice you absolutely need 4wd / chains to make it to the house. will definitely go back again next year!.
