We simply could not have been happier with this fantastic lakeside mini-estate. The property is outstanding and the Upper Eau Claire is one of the cleanest and most picturesque lakes in the state. This place truly has all the amenities that you could ask for in a rental property. And the entire facility was so clean on arrival that it would put the Waldorf Astoria to shame. Todd and Mary have thought of everything to make this Vrbo so very special and inviting. You simply will not be disappointed with anything about this vacation lodging, fellow travelers.

Beautiful location, and an excellent, well maintained cabin. This was the perfect spot for our trip. The hosts’ care for the space and attention to detail was clear. Particularly enjoyed the sauna.

We absolutely loved our time at Sunset in the Pines. It was perfect from the time we arrived to find a cute bag of goodies and birthday balloons because we were celebrating my husband's 40th birthday party. Todd and Mary were great communicators and had everything you could think of needing. We've already recommended the property to a few friends. It was great for our 4 young kids as well - they loved the downstairs hang out space, smores over the fire, and lots of time in the lake kayaking, paddle boarding and swimming. We enjoyed coffee on the spacious deck, boating and fishing. It was such a beautiful location and very quiet.

Great Outdoors

Had a great time - beautiful spot on a nice quiet lake. Hosts made everything very easy and cabin is stocked with everything from yard games and life jackets to kitchen staples and smores skewers.

Another wonderful visit

Our second trip to the cabin was even better than our first. Todd and Mary are wonderful hosts. The cabin is spotless and fully equipped for all ages to enjoy. We look forward to returning next year!

Beautiful home with stunning views. The amenities were endless. I have never stayed in a rental property that was stocked like this one. From top to bottom and everything in between, if you forgot something likely they would have you covered. The kitchen was stocked better than most private owned residences and everything was of high quality. The hosts were very easy to work with and wanted to make sure up front that we understood this property "is not suited for a rowdy guy's weekend" that level of concern for whom they rent to told me this house will not disappoint, and it did not. Todd and Mary thank you for renting us your home!!

This house is amazing. They thought of everything! Just bring some food, clothes and a swimsuit and you’re set! The beds are very comfortable and the hosts respond to any questions in a timely fashion. The lake area has a swim pad that our grandchildren love, there are paddleboards, kayaks etc for the guests’ use. We already made a reservation for next year, which will be our third time!

Great accommodations for our whole family from across the country. May be the best VRBO we’ve ever had. Plenty of space. Beds were great. Everything is in excellent condition. Plenty of toys, boats, chairs, barbecue tools, kitchen supplies. Sauna was an unexpected bonus. Todd and Mary were easily accessible to answer any questions.

Hayward fishing trip

Wow. This property is beautiful. Well stocked. Great location and lake. We had a blast fishing, evening campfires, and relaxing on the porch. Amenities are everything you could ask for!

We enjoyed staying in the cabin and had so much fun. The group were very appreciative for this great opportunity for them to get this experience of staying in a cabin and this helped promoting their mental health. We would love to come back again. North woods lake trip

Our family vacation at this lake house was fantastic. The home is beautiful and fully stocked with everything we could possibly need/want. I recommend renting a boat from Bear Country Rentals. They dropped off and picked up the boat directly at the home’s dock. You won’t be disappointed renting this gorgeous home!

Beautiful Lake Home in North Woods

We loved our stay at Sunsets and Solitude on Upper Eau Claire lake. We were sad that there wasn’t much snow, so no skiing, but lots of hikes, games, and laughs. This home was beautiful and we really enjoyed the wood burning fireplace and the view out the windows toward the lake. Kitchen was well stocked, house was very clean, and beds were comfortable. Plenty of room for our group to spread out. We would stay here again!

Mary & Todd have the best property in the area. It truly is a 5 star experience. The house was equipped with things beyond your need, and anything you name it pops up like a magic. The view was incredible and accessibility to the property was easy. We will surely repeat our trip. They have been a great host !

Absolutely perfect cabin

We had an absolutely wonderful week at the cabin. There was nothing that Todd and Mary didn’t think of or have available. It is by far the best vacation rental we have experienced. We commented daily on how clean and well stocked this cabin was for visitors. From the charging cords next to the beds to the wide array of water toys everything was perfect for our large group. Thank you for a wonderful week of family memories!

Thanks for a great weekend!

Phenomenal property - just as described. Todd and Mary were awesome communicators and provided many amenities that you don't normally get in a rental - we had kind of cold and rainy weather so didn't get to use a bunch of the lake toys, but we loved the gathering spaces to play games, and good size yard for bags and yard games in between the rainfalls. Oh and the views are amazing - really beautiful property.

Three Generation Reunion

We had a small family reunion at this location. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. There were plenty of showers and towels for us all to get ready to go. We especially enjoyed kayaking the lake with the resident eagles and loons. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked with dishes, and cooking equipment. Fun was had by all. We talked about returning again next year!

Outstanding experience

Sunset in The Pines was completely breathtaking. Todd and Mary made our trip one of a kind. The cabin is in a great peaceful locations with amazing sunsets over the lake. Sunset in The Pines was extremely clean and comfortable. Todd and Mary were easy to communicate with and made the cabin feel like our own. They have great attention to detail and everything you would ever need and more. If you need a nice relaxing get away this is one to check out for sure.
