Conveniently located to several state parks for hiking, kayaking, Spelunking and zip lining! Just a 20 minute scenic drive to The Cavern’s!! Or kick back at the ranch!

We have 600 acres to explore, a fully stocked lake for fishing. Bring your mountain bikes and ride until your hearts content!

The bunkhouse offers a fire pit, gas range, and fully stocked kitchen and laundry room!

Kick back in privacy and enjoy the the serene beauty of Firescald Creek Ranch

Listen to coyotes howl and the fat cattle bawl and watch the horses graze in our beautiful pastures!

Wildlife galore and did I mention we raise the best beef around? Treat yourself to a custom cut tomahawk ribeye! Our beef is 100% natural and absolutely delicious!


Visit The Caverns, historic Beersheba Springs, The Stone Door, The Fiery Gizzard, Foster Falls, Greeter Falls, Cumberland Caverns or Fall Creek Falls All within very close proximity to the ranch!

Or bring your horses and ride at the beautiful Franklin Forest or Badland Horsecamp!

The ranch was amazing. I had the most peaceful stay and loved the animals and all of the land to explore. The host was amazing and I would highly recommend a stay!

This was the most peaceful stay I have ever had. It is a such a unique and amazing experience to be on a working ranch. The ranch is beautiful and the animals are incredible. Amy is a great host and is very attentive and kind. Highly recommended!

There is something so peaceful about sitting on the covered front porch in a rocking chair watching the cattle and horses. All the animals are so friendly and the host Amy treats you like family! We were able to ride the horses, there is a stocked pond to fish, hot tub to soak in after your ride and a fire pit at night. The fresh cut to order beef steaks were amazing and perfect for the on-site grill! Will definitely be back! Thank you so much for the beat weekend getaway!!!

Firescald Creek Ranch was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The setting itself is absolutely beautiful. The hospitality was truly exceptional. It’s clear that a great deal of care and effort goes into making each guest’s experience special, and that did not go unnoticed. Everything exceeded expectations. The ranch provided the perfect backdrop for some very special moments, and it’s a place we’ll always associate with great memories, gratitude, and joy.I would highly recommend Firescald Creek Ranch to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with genuine hospitality and a truly unique experience. We’re incredibly thankful for our time there and would love to return in the future.

Stunning property with the coziest rustic cabin!!

Amy is an amazing host. She really goes above and beyond to ensure a wonderful experience at a gorgeous ranch. The cabin was spotless and perfect for a cold winter night. We were snug and comfortable our whole stay. Amy was very responsive and overall the experience was fantastic!!

Beautiful scenery

Loved the views, very quiet. Just as described but could use a good cleaning, a lot of cobwebs and even though it's in the middle of nowhere maybe add some curtains in the bathroom so if guests want to feel private that can choose to, a working ranch says their are people working that ranch somewhere on the property. All in all was exactly what we needed.

Wow, a one star review for a gorgeous, private ranch stay? Sorry if a cobweb may offend you but the bunkhouse is definitely clean. I didn’t see any mention of the condition of the kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, etc as they are very well maintained. But yes, we are in the middle of nowhere And have LOTS of insects. So that means we have lots of spiders. We also raise all natural beef and fruit right outside the bunkhouse and we do not use pesticides. I fry your review is unjustified and ridiculous. If you want to stay in a sterile environment I suggest a hotel in a city not a RUSTIC bunkhouse on a working ranch. I’m not quite able to decipher what your opinion of that was. We hope all your future travels are cobweb free.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! The place is beautiful and very clean. One of her dogs was on the porch as I arrived. He’s the cutest welcoming committee! I was able to drive a short distance to hike to waterfalls and then return to soak in the hot tub. I highly recommend this place!

We stayed at the ranch for 3 nights, Friday-Monday. The cabin was perfect for our family. The beds were comfortable and the windows air conditioners maintained a comfortable temperature for the duration of our stay. There was a surprise hot tub outside that I did not see anything on it in the listing. This was perfect for us each night to just relax for a bit before laying down. My wife and daughter enjoyed a bit of time with the horses, and the security system for the property, the dog, even came to say goodbye to us Monday morning while we packed. Overall, we would highly recommend staying at the property. Though it is a bit of a drive, the sights and lack of any city noise seriously make up for it. Thank you, Amy, for helping to make our vacation one to remember.

Fun Farm!

Was fun to see horses roaming (who apparently even like to lick cars! Ha!) and to also see the beautiful cattle in the field.

Peace and comfy

Home away from home. Enjoyed our stay. Main purpose was the location to all the hiking trails. Will be back.

Such a cool property!

We had a blast! Perfect central location to excellent hiking and the Caverns concert venue. We absolutely loved it! Will definitely stay again next time we are in the area.

Absolutely beautiful!!!! Very relaxing and peaceful property with horses and cattle grazing. They offer steaks from their ranch and there is a charcoal grill to cook on. Plenty of dishes and condiments. Had coffee and keurig. The washer and dryer was an added bonus. Definitely will be staying in the future. We have t-mobile cell phone service and used adapter to stream Netflix and YouTube on tv in living room

Weekend getaway

We had such a fun stay at the farm. The house and amenities were a bit dated (no internet and we never did figure out how to get the TV to work), but nothing that would keep us from staying here again.

Sorry you found us to be “Dated”. As stated in the description, the bunkhouse is rustic. The tv and DVD player operate the same as any others. We strive to keep the bunkhouse clean and simple. Thanks for staying with us

Hello y’all! I’m Amy Mitchell! I was born and raised right here in middle Tennessee and I’m a third generation rancher.

My family and I raise beef cattle and sell prime, natural beef. I grew up horseback and started training for the public at 18.

My husband Jason and I married in 1997 and we slowly began developing our Quarter horse breeding program shortly after.
We raised, trained and showed for several years earning State and World Titles.

We have a beautiful daughter, Prairie. She is already a very talented young horseman and has numerous accolades to her name at just 16.

While we have always raised cattle we decided to expand our program and purchased the ranch five years ago from my father who literally built the ranch nearly 35 years ago.

We are truly blessed to be able to live the ranching life despite the difficulties that come with it and invite you to get a taste of the authentic ranch experience for yourself!
