Love the house, the cleanliness and decor were great.....pool was great and was cleaned the day after we got there. Nice short walk to beach......did good fishing also.

Tastefully renewed beach rental

We had a wonderful stay! The private pool and close proximity to the beach were amazing! I loved sitting on sofa on the back porch watching the sunrise. It was so nice that it was covered. More than one of us took naps out there! The mid-century modern decor was so cool! And having two separate living room areas was so convenient - the adults could hang out in one area and the teenage and young adult boys set up video games in the other living area. We had plenty of time together, but options to get away from each other when needed. We loved being able to eat together at the big table too. Everything was top notch and we’d definitely stay here again!

Staying at Westwind is a groovy, fun experience

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Westwind is a beautiful, comfortable home. The mod design features are fabulous and consistent throughout this unique vacation spot. There are lots of options for enjoying the space with great seating on the beach side, in the home, and on the poolside. We had five ladies from our book club here for a week and everyone thoroughly enjoyed Westwind and SGI.

wonderful house!

We were one of the first to stay in this house after the renovations and it is truly fabulous! The decor/furnishings are beautiful... it's really nice to have everything on one floor... the pool is wonderful... and the location can't be beat! We'll definitely be back!

Our experience couldn't have been better. This property is as advertised. Impeccably designed, thoughtfully furnished, immaculately clean, and mere steps from the water. If you're looking for a great beach vacation, book this house. Westwind is as good as it gets. I've included a photo of the sunrise from the back porch. We'll be back!

My recommendation would be invest in a good stick vacuum, water hose and a luggage rack for the two master bedrooms, so your suitcase does not have to sit on the floor. This home was top-notch.

It has been maintained well although the mattresses need to be replaced. The kitchen is well-stocked and please note that the left front burner on the stove has one setting = scorch. Great if you want to boil water. The management company was great to work with and just a lovely group of people.

Nice but needs some attention

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Westwind is a beautiful house but it is lacking some is actually set up more like a hotel than a home! I’ll start with the most important. The front and back entrances are both dangerous going out due to the step down that is not obvious because the floor is the same color. . The pool deck furniture is nice but there needs to be more of it. Same for the open deck in back. There is a nice grill but no grilling utensils. The furniture is very comfortable. Beautiful view. Overall it is a great house but someone should have it stocked like most of the rentals in the area. We had a great time and would stay there again.

Another great stay (but a few tweaks suggested)

Reviewer Comments: We love Westwind when proximity to the beach is a priority (like for any fisherman among us, and any in our party who don’t like schlepping beach gear a long way, and anyone who dislikes stairs) and enjoyed this return visit (probably our 4th or 5th stay).Suncoast was very good to work with generally, and particularly when Hurricane Idalia came through in the middle of our first week. Communication was good (email), and they inspected the property quickly and gave us the go-ahead to return the day after the hurricane passed through. That saved part of our group another night in a hotel.Tweaks needed:Property wasn’t ready until 5:00. :(One of the big picture windows is cloudy and should already have been replaced. This is my main “complaint.” Looks bad and really mars the property’s main view, which is one of the main reasons for paying for a beachfront property. So that was very disappointing. And better monitor the window near the pass- through. It’s starting to cloud up.Sheets on master bedroom bed were badly pilled and very rough. They need to be replaced.Only cutting board is a glass one which is obnoxiously noisy to use (knives grate against it when cutting.). It’s cute and beachy, but please buy a couple of inexpensive plastic boards that are much more practical and user- friendly. Otherwise, the kitchen is very well-equipped.
