Relax at silver shells!

Silver Shells is a fabulous place with pools, beach access and close proximity to restaurants, shopping and entertainment..our condo was beautiful and we enjoyed the comfortable, relaxing setting..we will consider returning!

The property was very nice. The grounds are well kept, the pools are clean and a close walk to the beach. Our overall stay was wonderful. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful Stay

We had a great stay!! The condo is stocked with anything you could possibly need! There is even a beach cart, chairs, sand toys, ECT. The beds were also very comfortable! Shannon the owner was always quick to respond if I had any questions during our stay. We will definitely be booking again!

Great Family Vacation Spot!

We had the best week at the beach with our family. We had everything we needed to be very comfortable. It was easy to cook some meals when we wanted to stay at the beach late. Also, condo is close to good restaurants. The location is wonderful (a very quick walk to the pool or beach). Loved it!

Wonderful

We had a wonderful time at Silver Shells. The condo was just as pictured and had everything we needed, along with some extras like beach chairs, wagon, etc. It was clean, spacious and comfortable. The facility was beautiful and well maintained. We would definitely recommend this rental and will likely be back!

A welcome getaway!

We have not been to Destin in over 10 years. Chasing grandkids. We took our son and his family this time and we could not ask for any better place, size and location, was great. Check-in was easy and the place was in walking distance from beach and pool.Destin is wonderful. Would come back in a heartbeat!

Family vacation and my daughters surprise engagement

Everything was wonderful!! We loved the condo! So many extras that we didn’t expect like the use of beach chairs, beach toys, and beach wagon. We have been coming to silver shells for 20 years and I this was one of our favorite visits:)

Gorgeous condo in great location

This is our second time staying at this property and we hope to make it a family tradition to visit. There is plenty to do with the kids within walking distance (several pools, souvenir shop, beachside grill, the Back Porch, playground, etc) and it is close to shops and adjacent to Henderson State Beach Park. The property is perfectly stocked and the layout is great for letting a family spread out. The owner was a delight to work with.

Convenient location, amenities galore!

Our condo had been sold a few weeks before our visit. The new owner honored our reservation, and was great to work with. Complex is very safe, extremely well maintained, and family friendly. Location is very convenient to restaurants and amusement attractions. The condo was very clean, comfortable and well furnished. We enjoyed the main pool a lot, and the beach is very accessible from the resort. We can't waIt to come back!

Rest and revive!

We enjoyed the week immensely! We have stayed at The Silver Shells Resort for years. Check in was easy and people were friendly. This unit was extremely well kept, clean and organized. Appears to have recently had updates. The beds were AMAZINGLY COMFORTABLE!! We enjoyed dominoes as a family. The pool areas are the best!! Shopping across the road and plenty of restaurants nearby to be able to enjoy our time without have to go too far for anything. We will be staying here again.

More than I expected

The property was amazing. The views were spectacular. It was so easy to check in and get situated into our home for the next 7 days. The condo was very clean and spacious. The kitchen had plenty of appliances and the pantry was stocked with essentials. We enjoyed using the pool that was private to the St. Lucia building. The walk to the beach wasn’t bad at all and the wagon and chairs supplied came in handy. I hope to be able to return in a few years and stay in this condo again.

Paradise

This was such an awesome place to stay both with littles and adults! A wagon for coolers or littles to the beach which literally takes minutes to be on the beach with no crossing streets! The Back Porch pretty much on our beach! A Tiki bar with drinks and bar staff to take orders both at pool and on beach! Located just in the heart of everything you want to do in Destin! Sandy has a beautiful luxurious place that will put anyone at peace! Soft white sand that never gets hot! So peaceful!!! Thanks Sandy!!

Family Get Away

We had a wonderful time, the condo was great!! Everything went well, a short walk to the beach, a view of the beach & great seating arrangements on all the balconies. This was our first Thanksgiving away from home and it couldn't have been any better! We couldn't (decided not to) do a 16th birthday party for my daughter because of Covid so we wanted to give her something nice! She said turning 16 in Fl on Thanksgiving day with just us at the beach was more than great for her! Thanks Sandy for sharing your beautiful place with us and I will highly recommend this place!!!

Beautiful condo

We had a very nice stay at this condo. The description was completely accurate. It’s very clean, light and bright, the kitchen is amazingly well-appointed and the owner was super responsive. We had just a little mix up about our parking space- things in life happen- but the amazing part was and when I texted the homeowner, I had an immediately response from her and it was all resolved in just a few minutes. It’s a quick walk to the beach and the pool is beautiful. Our favorite part was watching the sunset each night from the balcony. Will definitely be back!

Best place in Destin

We have stayed here before. The property and location are fantastic. The only reason we probably won’t stay here again in October is that the pools are freezing cold. My 6 grandchildren, ranging in age from 10 years old to 1 year old could not swim in the pools. Coming from Indiana the pools are a big deal . The main pool is huge and to see it in the middle of the day with no one swimming in it is sad. Its to bad that this property can’t turn the heater on in October . We look forward to coming to Destin for fall break all year long , and to not be able to enjoy the pools is a deal breaker.

Didn't want to leave

This is our 2nd year renting this property and it was just as wonderful as the first!!! Shannon and her husband recently bought the condo from the previous owner and she added more kitchen items to help with stays -- spices, sugar, flour -- how nice!! It is so wonderful sitting on the balcony with that warm Gulf breeze. The condo is close to so much -- Back Porch has such great food! and of course Wal Mart is just across the highway. The pool for St Lucia is wonderful in the afternoon because part of it goes into the shade. And the beach -- the beach is just beyond wonderful!! The white sand and the blue turquoise water -- dreamy!! Make sure you get beach service -- it's so comfortable and get a margarita when the waitress comes around. Be careful -- they are strong and delish!!

Paradise

The property was beautiful -- beyond our expectations!!! The check in process was easy due to Sandra's excellent instructions. The condo is bright & cheerful with wonderful views of the property and an excellent balcony to watch the sunset. The main balcony has a high topped table with chairs which made it easy for my dad to relax along with a long dining table with chairs. The balcony off the other bedrooms had comfy chairs and was out of the sun. The condo has everything you would need to make food. Just be sure to bring your own spices if you want to grill, etc. And potholders -- we couldn't find them. This condo was immaculately clean!! The cleanest VRBO we have ever stayed. The property was even better!! The pool at St Lucia was great especially if you wanted to be outside later in the day and not be in the sun. We were very impressed by how well the grounds we kept as well. The main pool is spectacular with plenty of seating and lots of palm trees and geckos!!! Areas for big kids as well as little ones to enjoy the water. Then we got to the beach -- and WOW!!! Super soft white sand for miles!! And the Gulf of Mexico was so warm!! The beach service was nice!! And we definitely needed the umbrella because that sun is intense! We even went to Ruth Chris Restaurant for dinner one night and that was amazing. If you have time, go to The Back Porch and have those lobster balls!! Its right on the beach. We are planning a return trip and will come back here.

Beautiful Condo/Owner was attentive

Sandy was helpful and answered all my questions quickly! Fortunately, we didn’t have any major issues. The property is in close proximity to restaurants, stores etc... IF you want a balcony view of the beach stay ... see the map for a different buildings in Silver Shells. At first I thought the needed fobs for all the gates were a pain, but quickly realized the security is necessary due to the traffic and location of the resort. Speaking of traffic and wait times at restaurants... it was BUSY! The kitchen was adequately furnished, loved the Keurig option for coffee and the unit had a full sized washer/dryer which was great for towels. St. Lucia pool is rather small but it never seemed crowded if that’s your fave vs the beach. We rented chairs/umbrellas for the week since they didn’t allow you to bring your own tent. Only one working elevator while we were there for a week, which was inconvenient, but that is a resort issue, not on the owner. I have a feeling many complaints were made. I only gave 4 stars out of 5 for cleanliness because there were some dirty dishes put away in the drawers/cabinets when we got ready to use them. TBH, I’ve never stayed at a VRBO unit where that wasn’t the case, so I’m used to checking before I use or eat off dishes, but that’s just me! Again, not on the owner since they aren’t there to inspect everything!
