Amazing beach house! Clean, high quality interior, kitchen had everything you need to cook if you want too! The views were amazing, the beach was a one minute walk! They had a hose and an out door shower that helped keep the beach sand outside! We will definitely go back!

Amazing Stay

The property is smaller but luxurious. Extremely Clean, fabulously decorated, tall ceilings and huge patio. It sits right on the beach and the views are amazing. We will be staying again. Did I mention the gourmet kitchen???

Lovely house in a good location. Description of where to find lock box could be better (picture would have been nice). Wow, so many different machines to make coffee which was super nice. Should update house description to highlight this! Great place to stay. We will be back!

Honu Beachfront Heaven

We booked a weekend in Galveston to celebrate my birthday and to have an early Thanksgiving and Christmas with our daughter and her family. After a difficult year battling ovarian cancer, this house was heaven on earth for us! Every detail was considered from a bottle of wine, coffee, beautiful little soaps in the bathroom, luxurious bedding and towels, and warm blankets to cuddle on the couch! The deck had a beautiful view of the sunrise in the morning and perfect views of the waves crashing. There is not one thing that we would change and are so grateful for the amazing opportunity!

Fantastic location, beautiful views

We stayed at the Honu Beachfront property with another family and it was perfect! The house was clean and well stocked. The management company was easy to work with and very responsive. The location was a little on the far side from downtown Galveston, but we brought all our food and planned to stay on the beach for this trip, so it didn't bother us at all. If you plan to do a lot of things in downtown Galveston, I would probably consider a different property. But if your goal is to camp on the beach and let the kids play? This was excellent! It was an easy and short walk from the house to the beach. This section of the beach did allow for cars to drive on the sand, but we didn't have any safety issues. The cars drive pretty far up on the beach and the kids played closer to the water's edge. And in the evenings after the kids went to bed, the adults really loved sitting on the porch and chatting while enjoying the ocean views. Would absolutely stay here again!

What a great time!

What a wonderful house! 3 large bedrooms, two convenient bathrooms. AMAZING kitchen (fully stocked, you literally will want for nothing if you decide to cook yourself) and a great patio! Two families 4 adults and 4 kids had plenty of space to sleep everyone comfortably. The kids really loved the bunk beds and as a picky sleeper, I was perfectly fine on the bed in the master bedroom. The beach was great. During the week, its basically sparkly used. We easily had fifty feet to the nearest neighbor. On Saturday, it picked up but we still had no problems being ten/fifteen feet away from the next closes group. Water was warm and while we saw a little seaweed it really wasn't bad at all. The sand is compacted and not as fluffy as you would expect but it actually made things easier to get around and it didn’t get blistering hot. There are cars on the beach and its sort of first come first served so we recommend getting out to the beach area early and "claim" your spot for the day. At night, have dinner on the patio while looking at the water. The breeze is super nice and the rocking chair will lull you to sleep if you are not careful. We are coming back next year. Maybe even twice…

Beautiful views!

Place was very gorgeous. Only issue was that the AC wasn’t working when we arrived and the house got up to 85 degrees while we were waiting on technician to arrive. Tech arrived around 9pm to fix the unit. We also didn’t receive any communication on check in until a few days before our stay even though I was sending multiple messages on Vrbo with no response. Overall very lovely place.

We will be back!

The house was clean, organized and well designed. We have a family member in a wheelchair and an elderly mother and the place was set up perfectly for all of us. Great access to everywhere we wanted to be.

DeRosa weekend getaway

This is the second time we have rented this property in the past 12 months and have loved it both times. It is perfect for our family of 4 and love that you almost have your own private beach. The front door does need some WD-40 because it is very difficult to lock the door and as suggested last stay as wel we would love it if the gate was moved to the top of the staircase instead of in the middle with young kids that accidents could happen on the stairs. Besides that we love this house would even consider purchasing it if the homeowner was interested. 5-stars for sure.

Great short getaway!

We rented for a long weekend. Beautiful home with terrific access to the beach. Loved the extras like beach gear, golf cart, and bonfire we included. We hope to come back.

Great 3-day Trip

The house is beautiful and well equipped. You have amazing views of the gulf. We loved that all the bedrooms are on the same floor, as we have a little one. The kitchen has great cooking equipment and is well laid out. There is nothing in this kitchen from a food perspective, so bring the basics. They do leave you salt and pepper. I had to clean the living room windows when I arrived because they were so dirty on the outside and we couldn’t see the beach. Also, the coffee make was a little tricky, and I had a mess on the first morning. Last thing that is not great is this is on the driving beach and there are a lot of jerks that want to speed and do donuts. If you want to avoid that entirely, you should pass.

Perfect house for a 4-5 person family!!

The house was beautiful! We will definitely be coming back. The house had everything we needed and it was a fully stocked kitchen with every utensil and pots and pans that we needed. With two small children I would suggest moving the gate from the middle level of the stairs to the very top and getting a gas grill. Those are the only two suggestions I had, besides that the house and the beach were amazing. Thank y’all so much for allowing our family to come have an amazing experience!!
