Resort Style with Hula Show, Fireworks and even Tiki Torches!

The Ilikai is the first hotel-resort condominium developed in Hawaii and is one of the original landmarks of Waikiki. It is best known for being featured in the Hawaii 50 TV series and is loved by tourist and locals alike. Conveniently located in Waikiki next to the Hilton Hawaiian Village, it is steps away from the beach and a beautiful swimming lagoon. While not technically "on the beach" there are no streets to cross and it is literally just a 3 min walk after leaving the open air lobby to walk down a beautifully designed walkway which will lead you to the beach.

The lobby level amenities include a spa, hair salon, concierge, bell desk, restaurants, coffee shop, convenience store and resort retailers. There are also 2 pools including a swimming pool and a lounging pool. Valet parking is available 24/7. There are over 14,000 square feet of landscape yard and patios. 24 hour security.

The condo has been completely redecorated, freshly painted, mostly new furniture including a high end King size bed. Great view from the lanai (and from the bed!) of the lagoon and ocean. It has a fully equipped kitchen but if you prefer not to cook there are plenty of restaurants nearby to choose from ranging from local fair to international favorites like Indian or Japanese.

It's the perfect place for a Waikiki stay.

Amazing place to enjoy Honolulu. Very well localized and the suite is cozy, comfortable having adicional beach tools that were very very appreciated for our aniversary.

Everything was wonderful for the most part, beach and lagoon were perfect and the room is very nice, if you want access to the fitness center, it is an additional charge of 8 dollars a day or 50 a week.

While the fitness center does charge $8 per day we are actually quite thrilled that it has become available to our guests as it is owned by The Ilikai Hotel and has been off limits to condo owners and their guests for the past 20 years! Having said that maybe we can now work on getting the price reduced for future guests. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Our second visit to this vrbo and we loved it even more than the first time, beautiful view, ideally located within walking distance to many restaurants and shops.Host does a great job with communication also

The place was very clean. Decor was dated but it was still very cute. We didn’t cook but it seemed like they had everything you would need. The balcony overlooks the ocean. Tye fireworks were amazing on Friday night. We thought the location was really central to everything. We only spent 2 days there. The place was nice and had plenty of space for 2 people. Overall, we would stay there again if we ever come back to Hawaii. Communication was great with owner.

We enjoyed a great stay! The view from the balcony is wonderful. We particularly enjoyed being able to see the fireworks on Friday evening. The Ilikai is a classic Waikīkī building with lots of amenities. Communication with the host was excellent.

No complaints. The place was exactly as described. Balcony was very nice- used often with great view of the beach and water. Very clean and stocked with everything I needed. Loved that there were beach chairs, umbrella and beach towels. Bed was very comfortable and the AC worked very well. The property itself is very nice. Nice laundry room right down the hall (fast machines). Great staff and decent bar and restaurant. Location is great, if you want to be in Waikiki. There are some good little places across the street for more casual dining if you want to save some money.Property manager/ owner was very responsive through the whole process, and while there. I will definitely use again !

Partial ocean view, and unit is located above the pool. The unit is fully furnished in a tropical theme and has everything to make you feel at home. Of note, the outdoor lanai has a bit of a challenge due to pigeon roosting and droppings.

The Ilikai is an iconic building in Waikiki...ask any local and many who have visited there since it opened in 1964 and they will tell you it is a special place rooted in Hawaiian culture. It is unique for a condo building because it is part hotel, part time share as well as privately owned condos so guests enjoy an a resort like atmosphere with cafe's, restaurants, shops, convenience stores and a beautiful open air lobby. The beach is just a few steps away with a beautiful walkway from the "Pacific Terrace" to the swimming lagoon and then to the beach. The best part is the Friday night fireworks display which you can watch from the lanai...cocktails in hand, or course! Aloha!
