Welcome to Gunsmoke a not so "tiny" cabin in the woods with a private hot tub. 600sf of cozy cabin & 4 acres with 2 ponds in the community to roam. Plenty of parking for your off road toys. Within 15 minutes to boat launch and river. Downtown Ellijay is also 15 minutes for great places to eat, shop and stroll..
Great for people who love the outdoors, hiking, biking, boating or have off road vehicles.
If you prefer, just relax on the porch or hot tub listening to the sound of birds chirping and the north Georgia mountains😉
Large master bedroom with private bathroom. There is plenty of room to stretch out or sit and read a book in one of the zero gravity chairs.
There is a cozy bunk room for kids and tons of outdoor room to play! The kitchen is stocked with everything you need from coffee, creamer, sugar, spices and all your pots, pans that you need to cook any meal! The bathroom even has shampoo, conditioner, body wash, blow dryer and curling iron and plenty of towels!

Cozy little getaway

Our stay at Gunsmoke was terrific: Clean, cozy, well-appointed. really comfy King-sized bed! Great location: not far from town, but well-away from the hustle-bustle. Smart TVs are a plus: watched plenty of football. Had a clear evening when we enjoyed some star-gazing. Looking forward to a return trip - highly recommend!

Wonderful Cabin

My dogs & I spent the weekend at this cabin & everything about it was great! It was the perfect getaway for the 3 of us. I highly recommend this property & the host. Communication with them was great & if anything was needed, they were quick to respond. I would love to stay again!

Good quiet place

Nice clean smallish cabin. Not too small though.Everything was well thought out and nice and clean. The only problem I ran into was not one that could be fixed. In the winter this particular hot tub drops in temp quickly after the cover is removed. Not a problem if you spend short times in it.

Cabin was great!!

Cabin was in a quiet area and from the back porch you could not see any other cabins around. Very peaceful stay.

Unsatisfactory

The oven was not operative. We had to turn the gas off outside of the cabin. No window screen in bedroom. Exterior bedroom door would not unlock. Interior bedroom door jammed halfway open. Owners accused us of lying . We left early and sacrificed our money.

Relaxing cabin in the woods

The cabin was really cute and clean and the listing was accurate. We enjoyed exploring the surrounding areas of Ellijay and Blue Ridge. The directions from the host were accurate and we had no problem finding it and they gave some good recommendations for restaurants and hiking in the area. We were glad to have 4 wheel drive as the gravel roads are pretty steep but we didn’t have any trouble accessing it. The property was very private and mostly quiet except for some traffic and occasional kids on 4 wheelers outside the property but nothing out of the ordinary. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return again.

Misled by Emails prior to the trip

Told VRBO rep our purpose of this stay was to be able to park our motorcycle trailer and ride the mountains daily as we do every year at this time for my wife's birthday. I was told "Oh yeah - plenty of room for trailer". Didn't mention the road up to the "cabin" was a half mile climb on an unpaved, rutted-out road which was barely passable with my truck and trailer...and that was only because the weather was clear. Had it been rainy or winter it would be hazardous for anything less than a 4-wheel drive vehicle. On day two I had to haul my trailer off of the mountain and pay an RV park for a place to park it because, AS WAS NOT MENTIONED, ONLY AN IDIOT WOULD ATTEMPT TO RIDE A $30K HARLEY DAVIDSON STREET BIKE UP AND DOWN THIS MOUNTAIN. In addition, when we returned to the cabin on day two and tried to put in the unlock code - twice - nothing happened. That is when we discovered the front door was unlocked even though we had checked it TWICE before we left. I know this because as we both checked to be sure it was locked the "ring" camera came on with someone asking if everything was okay ??? Also when we left the clock on the microwave was blinking 23 seconds as we opened the door before our heated meal was completed. When we went inside the microwave had been opened and the clock was showing the time again. SOMEONE WITH THE DOOR CODE HAD BEEN IN THE CABIN IN OUR ABSENCE. From that point on our stay was uncomfortable as we felt we were being watched. WE WON'T BE BACK....

Wonderful, clean and just what we wanted!

This cabin was so nice. Very clean! TV in 2 rooms, deck with hot tub and beautiful view. Jill was fantastic in answering all of our questions. Need to let friends and family members know how it was. Very good price and extra blankets, towels, plenty of cooking supplies! Beautiful view and nice, quiet neighborhood. It would be a great place to stay in November, December. Thank you so much!!

Nice cabin getaway

The cabin was nice the hot tub was a good addition. Communication with the owners was good. There was a storm just before we came that knocked out the power and she kept in touch with us to let us know what was going on with it. The town is nice. It was a lovely stay.

I wanted seclusion without being too remote and a cabin feel with modern conveniences and it was everything that I hoped for and more. The decor in the cabin was adorable with the addition of a stocked kitchen and bathroom toiletries. When I left, I felt like I was leaving an old friend with much anticipation to return soon.

My Mountain Escape

I was coming to Georgia for a family wedding and decided I wanted to stay in a cabin in the woods and the Gunsmoke Cabin was exactly what I was looking for. It is exactly as pictured and was a wonderful retreat. It was peaceful and calming, and so very cozy. Thank you again Jill.

Great Cabin for R & R

This cabin has so much personality. The amenities were amazing. It’s gated so it was extremely private. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. We used the fire pit. The only star taken off was because we were excited to use the hot tub - it was one of the reasons we rented that cabin. The temperature never reached “hot”. We paid full price for everything, including early check in, which is fine, but the hot tub was a disappointment. Other than that - this place was terrific.

Cozy,comfy,quiet

Gunsmoke cabin is an excellent getaway with all the amenities including rocking chairs on the front porch, a gas grill and hot tub on the rear deck and washer and dryer, and of course a tv with a large selection of channels.The kitchen is well stocked with salt and pepper and spices, a coffee maker and filters, paper towels and a gas stove, plenty of dishes, silverware and pots and pans. A nice quaint downtown area about 10 minutes away with plenty of restaurant choices and several antique shops. A very nice place, nothing bad to say about it.

Gun Smoke

Nice cabin on mountain road. Fun decor, nice front porch and back deck with private hot tub. Dog friendly. Numerous hiking trails in the area. Downtown has restaurants and shops. Some vehicles may have trouble with road up to cabin. Make sure you have access code to gate and front door. Towels plentiful and comfortable bed and pillows. We ate on deck with tv tables. Also a grill that we made use of. Mostly quiet and peaceful, dogs barking down the mountain. Not too bad. We had a nice stay, except for losing powe for about 24 hours after a severe storm. But luckily there’s a gas stove and grill. We had an ice chest, good thing because we had just bought groceries for a week. Maybe consider bringing a flashlight and candles. Just in case beautiful mountains around.

Cozy Couples Retreat

Our week here was so relaxing. . We enjoyed sitting on the deck, watching sunrises and listening to the birds. This was a great location for exploring all the new wineries that have grown up around Ellijay. Hope to return.

Ellijay is the little slower, little quieter then most towns. You have more chance to see everything here then getting consumed in a big city.
Why not Ellijay, it's amazing here!
We fell in love with this sweet little cabin at first sight. I love that it's tiny but so roomy at the same time. We feel so relaxed and comfortable here.
