Take a ride in your 4x4 down the gorgeous sand beach to our Beautiful Octopus Oasis here in Carova Beach, OBX! (4x4 is required to access this vacation paradise.)
Ready for fun? Pack up the fishing & picnic gear and head to the beach for the day. Swimming, Fishing & good old fashion family fun, WITH the OBX Wild Horses roaming down the beach, you and your family can create the most INCREDIBLE memories during your stay here!
Back at the Oasis you can enjoy the hot tub and watch as the horses at times make their way through the yard. We are on a dead end road so quiet relaxing nights are always on the menu! Cornhole, boardgames and other fun activities are ready for those summer nights!
The house has been totally renovated, all new furniture & appliances, linens and towels provided. Enjoy some much needed relaxation in our ORGANIC/chlorine FREE Hot tub on bottom floor next to the out door shower. 2-full kitchens, one on the bottom floor for ease of outdoor grilling & the main kitchen is on the 2nd floor, both fully stocked with everything you might need.

We also provide 2-Beach Parking Passes. THERE IS A FEE FOR LOST PASSES of $200 each pass.

We are a dog friendly rental only. The maxium number of dogs is two. The $50 pet fee is per dog per stay.

Our trip was amazing. I have used VRBO for a very long time and this by far was the best. The owner and the property manager were amazing. Excellent communication!!

Absolutely a gem, it was everything expected and more. So much space for me and my family. Kym the property manager was just such an amazing person to deal with. Highly recommend this home if you want and nice quiet place to stay on the 4x4 area. Thank you Kym for everything!

With 7 kids and 2 adults there was plenty of room. 5 bedrooms and a bonus room with 2 bunk beds. 5 min drive away from the beach. We saw horses almost everyday. It was a great experience and house for our family. I’d recommend this home for a large family that wants to be secluded on vacation. 5 stars

Worked out great for us to get a few extra days and not deal with traffic, Moving to the house we have for the week today and a lot more people coming down. Glad I had 3 beautiful days and zero traffic coming in on a Wednesday. The house was great, clean, down stairs king bed has the best mattress ever.

The house was very spacious and in a great location, less than a five-minute drive to Corolla Beach. We spent our 33rd anniversary there, and my wife was especially excited to see the wild horses. Although none came right up to the property, we saw plenty while tailgating on the beach. The host even offered to extend our stay by two complimentary nights. Overall, it was a great stay!

We had an amazing stay at this OBX 4x4 beach property! The house was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. One of the best parts was the peaceful location in the four wheel drive area of Corolla. It truly felt like getting away from the crowds while still being close enough to enjoy everything the Outer Banks has to offer.The wild horses wandering through the area were unforgettable and made the experience feel unique and special. We also loved being able to drive directly onto the beach instead of hauling all of our gear back and forth. The views, quiet atmosphere, and outdoor spaces made it easy to unwind every day.The hosts clearly put a lot of care into the property, and communication was excellent from start to finish. If you are looking for a true OBX adventure with privacy, nature, and a relaxing beach vibe, this is the perfect place to stay. We would absolutely come back again!

Absolutely fabulous from top to bottom. Myself and several brothers stayed a few days here for a bachelor’s getaway and had an unforgettable experience. This is an amazing home that is clean, wonderfully furnished and an extremely considerate and responsive host. I really appreciated the host staying in contact from before the rental date and through it till the end. The host felt like an old friend! The location is ideal for a comfortable getaway adventure for several people. It’s like a home away from but in paradise. Great access to the beach, two fully equipped kitchens that made cooking a breeze and plenty of room to relax after a long day of fishing or hiking. If you are visiting Corolla beach this is the home to stay in. I know my friends and I will certainly return every time we visit the Outer Banks!

Thank you so much for this review. We could not even tell a bachelor party was held. You even put the towels in the wash then the dryer.....this does not happen and was greatly appreciated!

Great house, great location

Location was amazing, the house was great..lots of space, clean, and it had everything we needed. Communication with the owners was perfect…we’ve never stayed anywhere with better communication, definitely makes for a good vacation.

Family Vacation

We have a WONDERFUL time during our stay!! This vacation was absolutely amazing and the most peaceful one ever. From driving on the beach to seeing the wild horses in the back yard, we loved every single moment. The hosts were amazing, very friendly and helpful. Wished we could have stayed longer but we will definitely be back next year.

Best experience of OBX to date

Overall best experience to date I’ve had at OBX. Raw and untamed, what I envisioned the island to be before heavy tourism and development. Wild horse encounters were more than you can count on two hands! Trent and Stephanie were helpful,prompt,and courteous.private and secluded .

Corova beach nc

This was our first time renting a house on the beach anywhere. It was very secluded. There were a few issues, but I suspect any place like that has a few issues. So I guess you get what you paid for.

Octopus Oasis

It’s the 1st vacation we’ve taken in years! Didn’t know what I was doing when booking , but it turned out to be amazing!!! Myself my kids and my mom all stayed. The owner was very helpful and made it a great vacation! Very helpful with everything. The house was great!!! It was exactly like described on Vrbo!!! I would definitely recommend! When it says “secluded “ they mean it!! Great vacation was had by all!!!

Perfect Family Getaway on the 4x4 – Spacious, Peaceful & Close to the Beach!

We came over from the mainland (Currituck) to stay on the 4x4 beach for the long weekend with family, and this house was perfect for our crew. We had a group of adults and kids ranging from 8-16, and there was plenty of room for everyone—actually way more space than we expected!The layout was great: a bunk room and king bedroom on the bottom floor, a master king on the second, and then a king, queen, and two sets of bunk beds on the top floor. Everyone had space to spread out, and no one was on top of each other, which is saying a lot for a big group like ours.The location was one of our favorite parts—it’s farther north on the beach, which made it feel more peaceful and less crowded than the southern end. Super easy access to both the beach and the public boat ramp, which made our days full of fun and zero hassle.Overall, such a great house in a quiet, beautiful spot. We’d absolutely stay here again!
