Close to activities

We stayed here for a family reunion in Walker. Close to the park and beach and just a couple of blocks from downtown. Property was comfortable and well equipped for our stay.

We had a wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful stay! Very charming, great location able to walk to shopping and dining. We did not do any cooking but if we had they had everything we would need for next time. Beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. We will be back!

Very good property

The place was very clean, newly renovated inside, comfortable beds and living room furniture. Loved the outside patio and furniture. Very private with privacy fence.

Great location and neighborhood

Property is within walking distance of the park and downtown. Quiet neighborhood, no traffic. Very welcoming. You couldn't ask for a nicer home away from home.

Character Abound

This home was in a quiet and friendly neighborhood. The neighbor across the street even helped us retrieve our golden retriever when she easily got out of the retractable fence. The home had a unique character that I loved, and the owners were very kind and friendly. I especially liked that it was located so near the lake, park, church and businesses in Walker. We had a very enjoyable stay!

Nice place to stay

Cozy home with a good location to where we were visiting. Shared wall home and connecting neighbor yelled at us at 5 pm for being outside and being "loud" while we were greeting each other. Garage door broke early on in the trip, but we were left keys so it was a small issue. Overall nice place to stay.

House location was great! City park one block away and house was just off main street. House was nice. Only issue was listing said fenced in yard and it was not completely fenced in. Besides that great stay.

Peaceful

We had a very relaxing week and were able to get in touch with old friends again. Other than the road work in progress we had a very nice week. The house was lovely and had anything you could possibly need! We were well satisfied.

Beautiful but needs central air in the summer.

Beautiful place but way to hot could not sleep and the neighbors played music so loud you could here the vibration through the wall. We left a day early.

Relaxing

The property was in a great location, the neighbors were friendly. Even though you could tell there was a decent amount of people nearby it was very quiet and peaceful. Location was perfect: close to the public lunch for leech lake as well as close to the walking trail and downtown Walker. We did not want to leave. The house inside was very cute and spacious, we had everything we needed. The owners were very kind and told us to reach out if we needed anything.

Love this condo!

I was so happy to find this place! The owners did such a nice job with renovations, adding special touches like a fully stocked kitchen, good bedding and pillows, a cute private outdoor space, a wagon for walks to the beach (with beach towels), a comfy sofa sleeper, and smart tvs in almost every room. It's just like the description/photos show. The condo sits in a quiet neighborhood so I was able to get in some work each morning outside (there are two friendly retirees across the street who putter in their garages each morning too, the three of us started to get into a routine 😆). LOVE how close it was to downtown Walker, bike trails, restaurants, shops, and the public park. Not sure why anyone would want to stay at the hotel in town when this is available. And thank you to Betty for making us feel welcome! Will definitely be back!

Comfy and cozy

Kevin and Betty were fantastic hosts. The place was clean and cozy - almost like being at home. Shops and eateries are all in walking distance. The neighborhood is quiet and clean. Thank you for a great stay!

We will be back!

Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay on this property. Betty was very friendly and responded quickly to any questions that came up. The house had more than enough sleeping options for us. The sheets, towels, and rugs were so soft and it was great to have access to a washer/dryer. The location was perfect - only a block to downtown and a block to the beach! We hope to make this a regular stop when we are back in Walker!

Although we are new to the VRBO world, Kevin and I have a long term background in lodging management so you are in good hands! We have managed and maintained properties in Minnesota and North Dakota but our absolute favorite place to be is Walker Minnesota. We are semi retired and enjoy tinkering around the house and getting out to our favorite fishing hole whenever we can. It's going to be an exciting first year in VRBO for us and we are SO excited that you are going to be a part of it!

We chose this property because of it's great location. If you want to spend the day on foot all the best up north stores are at your finger (or toe) tips. Mixed in with the great shopping are some wonderful restaurants and Walker’s own locally owned brewery. Just a block to the west you’ll find the charming Walker City Park and boat launch. Stop in for a quick dip at the city beach or just kick off your sandles and walk on the beach. Don’t forget to check out the lighthouse at the end of the pier!
Bring your bikes along because the Heartland Bike Trail is just steps from the back yard. You can ride for miles and miles in either direction on these amazing trails.
Walker boasts 2 of the most pristine golf courses in the north country. Longbow and Tianna Country Club are just a few miles from town and you’ll be blown away by their beauty.
Northern Lights Casino and Event Center is 4 miles from town and there are many events in the area as well. Walker Bay Live is a must do event and happens every Thursday night at a different spot every week. Food and live music draw people together to celebrate warm summer nights. Don’t miss the Farmers Market every Thursday as well.

The unique benefit of this property is that if you are with a group that doesn't necessarily want to all do the same thing there are things that can easily be done without a car so that others could use the car for further away excursions. The location is perfect!
