Cozy Waterfront Comfy Cottage With Lakeside Fire Pit - Close to Lake Michigan

Great location! 60' of private frontage on all sports Twin Lake. Sandy shallow beach perfect for swimming, floating and playing. Great fishing lake and we provide 2 adult kayaks with paddles as well as 1 stand up paddleboard. We also have cornhole and inflatables for guests to use. Enjoy the beautiful sunset from the comfort of the beach, lakeside bed or porch. Sleeps 6 (maximum of 4 adults). Central air and central heat.

Minutes from Lake Michigan, Muskegon Luge, Michigan's Adventure, Twin Lake County Park, Coast Guard City USA Grand Haven, Stone Gate Golf Club, Muskegon Waterfront and so much more. Close to eateries, breweries, Cedar Creek Motorsport Trail and Thunderbird Raceway.

•Main Bedroom offers a bunk bed combo (full on bottom and twin on top) and also an additional twin bed.

•Lakeside Sunroom has a full bed where you are surrounded by the stars and breeze

•Kitchen is stocked with whatever you might need to get your stay up and running. Dishwasher, Keurig, pots/pans and dishes are provided. Gas Grill on site as well.

•Water toys and games on site are for guests to use

•Due to severe asthma/allergies, cigarette smoking is NOT permitted anywhere on the premises, inside or out.

Great getaway close to Michigan’s Adventure

We were looking for something more than a hotel for a quick 3 day getaway for a last minute family trip before our daughter goes off to college. It was exactly what we were looking for. Nothing fancy, but clean and on the lake. Lake was very shallow and water warm like a bath. Wish we had thought to bring water shoes for the algae, but it was amazing. We don’t know there wasn’t a dock or fire pit but it was okay, we’re figured out the property lines after taking a second look at the listing description. It was adorable & clean and enough supplies for our short visit. So close to Silver Lake, Muskegon & Michigan’s Adventure. We would most definitely stay here again.

Lake Front Fun

Cottage was clean, in very good condition, all appliances in good working order and well stocked with consumables, towels etc. (obviously not food). Mary is a good communicator and fun was had by all. Definitely recommended.

Lovely little cottage

We enjoyed everything about this little cottage--it's super cute, clean, and in a quiet, beautiful location. It had everything we needed and then some. We were in town for a cycling race and it was convenient to get to and from our race venue. Loved the sunsets and walking to Overboard Inn for breakfast.

Nice little cabin!

Mary’s cabin was perfect for our little family. It had everything we needed, clean and Twin Lake is such a beautiful small lake that is shallow for quite a ways out. My 4 year old son really enjoyed playing by the beach and swimming in the water for hours. We enjoyed local pizza, going to Michigan Adventures that is a quick 10 minute drive and visiting Grand Haven that is only about 20-25 mins away. We will definitely be back!

Nice location

We loved the neighborhood! The location is great especially for kids to have the lake literally right in your backyard. We spent everyday playing in the water. It was shallow so my 2 and 5 year old loved being able to touch ground. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the beach area was “weedy” and needed to be raked desperately. Also the kayaks and paddle board were very dirty and we had to clean them up before using. The decks, front and back, need to be repainted and the house needs a good power wash. This place could be a real gem if it was maintained better. Also needs more silverware and a pair of scissors! Overall we enjoyed our stay

For all ages, idyllic lake stay

Perfect location: close to Lake Michigan beach, major supermarket, activities, and large private, lakeside grounds on classic cottage bungalow with lawn chairs, kayaks, paddle board. Ideal.

Fun Family Vacation!

We stayed for the week and had an amazing time. So much fun, we actually extended our stay! There’s plenty for young children to do and the property manager was amazing - quick to reply and oh so friendly. We will definitely be back!

July Stay

The Bungalow was everything we were hoping for, location and setting is wonderful. The owner communicates/responds quickly. We did have a facility issue, that she worked very hard to correct, and found a solution that I think worked for both of us. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Wish List: -the mattresses could be updated -the non-stick pots and pans need to be replaced -motion activated front door light (very dark when coming in at night)

A place to R & R !!

Looking for that place to just hangout by water and do some kayaking and we found it. Beachfront was spacey, Cottage was very clean and Host was very helpful……We will be back and plan on staying longer !!!

A few issues, resolved quickly

First, the owner is great. There was great communication throughout the entire stay. Finding the rental was super easy, it’s conveniently located. The beach is absolutely amazing for toddlers! It’s super sandy and shallow for quite a long way out! The rental did provide a few basics which were nice; spices, a few condiments, TP, beach chairs and towels, dish soap and other detergents. There were a few issues when we arrived. The water heater went out (or was out before we got there, and we were the first to find out unfortunately). It was quickly fixed the next morning. The septic system alarm went off late in the evening and woke my son up, I was able to contact the owner and we resolved it right away. A septic repair man came out and looked it all over the next day and said everything was fine. The owner did compensate for the issues which was nice. There are a few suggestions I had for the rental. The beds were VERY firm, but linens and pillows were nice. Some people like firm, but even adding some thick memory foam would do wonders. Adding a few stand up fans would be great for the back porch. Grilling utensils (tongs, spatula) are needed, and baking pans. The only other thing we found difficult was lack of counter space, and a third chair for eating at the table. The rental was clean, communication was great, location was amazing (it’s very close to a park).
