More Negatives than Positives ...
Communication with the host was excellent. There have been some updates to this property. More are needed and I question if this location is suitable for a VRBO. The max number of people to stay here comfortably is 3 maybe 4. The apartment positives include new windows, nice floors, decent kitchen cabinets, clean appliances, and reasonably comfortable beds with clean bedding and towels. The areas that are cleaned regularly were very clean. But the whole place could use a deep clean. The apartment negatives are very minimally stocked kitchen, overly used bedding and towels, bathroom walls around toilet and sink haven't been cleaned for sometime, torn living room furniture, light fixtures that don't work and very squeaky bed. The location is close to the bus stop and about a mile to the train. We walked it during the day but would not walk it at night. The neighborhood does not have a safe feeling about it. There were many bags of garbage along the sidewalks. The police responded 3 times in one night across the street. The downstairs neighbors argued loudly and someone in the building needed to change the battery in their smoke detector for days. The walls and floors are thin. There was often strong "smoke" smell coming through the window air conditioner. I was traveling with my son. If I would have been in this rental with another female, we would have not stayed.
