Look through our photos of the space available for groups in our Great Room... a grand table is perfect for extended family meals, games, puzzles and meetings; the adjoining living and family rooms offer plenty of seating with flexible seating arrangements. Cooks will find a kitchen equipped to create feasts for the group... all while enjoying the view.
We've designed the spaces in Pinetree Chalet around our own large family, focusing on creating a wonderful flow to gather together, while also offering some intimate spaces for privacy. Throughout the house you'll find extensive use of wood, unique handcrafted and wrought iron items, lodge decor, comfy beds, and space for the family to gather together in comfort.
Ski to the house in winter, or follow the stream up the mountain as you embark on your hiking adventure right from the front door. It is impossible to overstate the awesome experience of the open-air hot tub. Pinetree Chalet is ideally located an easy 7-10 minute walk from Sun Peaks Village and Sunburst chairlift. We are family-focused and committed to hosting guests who will uphold the peaceful nature of our Sunburst Estates house-only neighbourhood.
PINETREE CHALET offers flexible options for groups of various sizes, with a maximum of 16 guests. 6 BD IS LISTED HERE which includes both the Main House plus the Sugar Pine Suite.
See our separate listing for the Main House without suite if your group has up to 12 guests and requires less than 6 bedrooms. Our Sugar Pine Suite also has a separate listing for up to 6 guests in 2 bedrooms.
6-BEDROOM / 5-WASHROOM:
Ponderosa, Foxtail, Durango: upstairs rooms with queen beds, each has balcony and ensuite
Lacebark: main floor bunk room with 1 queen + 3x twin beds; nearby 2-room washroom
Bristlecone and Jack Pine: lower-level suite rooms, each with a queen bed and the option to add a twin bed; shared washroom
ADD LODGEPOLE HIDEAWAY (OPTIONAL):
Lodgepole Hideaway is perfect for groups needing an additional room. A spacious tv/recreation room by day has 2x chaise sofas that become xl-double beds at night. Ensuite with shower. This option is available under special circumstances - please inquire.

The layout works well whether you're planning a Sun Peaks destination wedding with a private honeymoon area, a family reunion or a corporate retreat with separate sleeping areas and beds. Your bed will be made up with a temperature-regulating New Zealand wool pad; thick organic cotton sheets, or 400+ tc premium cotton sheets for breathe-ability and a bed that you will look forward to returning to. A guest commented that she rarely sleeps well, but had one of the best sleeps she's ever had in her Pinetree Chalet bed.

PLEASE NOTE: We take VRBO bookings up to 1 year in advance. Our rates are based on length of stay starting at 2+ nights, number of bedrooms and guests, which mostly fits into VRBO's booking system but a quote will give you the correct rate.

Skiing at Sun Peaks is a wonderful experience, with runs for all of our family - from little ones just learning the pizza wedge to 30's extreme and grandparents still perfecting their curves through wooded peek-a-boo slopes. There's also alpine trails for snow shoeing and x-country skiing; Mountain biking, hiking, nearby lakes, golf, watching the ever-changing mountain views and wildlife from your front-row seat on the deck or great room. Sun Peaks Village was described by one of the "kids" as a Mini-Disneyland - stroll through the pedestrian streets and explore the restaurants and shops.
At the end of a fun-filled day, kick back and relax at the chalet surrounded by lodge decor: wood beams, vaulted ceilings, procured bedding, nature-inspired art, comforts of home - the total experience offers an escape from everyday life. Pinetree Chalet Sun Peaks inspires a memory-making getaway.
