Our Salty Casita is only a 3-minute walk to the ocean at Kure Beach, and a short stroll to the fishing pier at Ocean Front Park and Pavillion along with restaurants and bars. This newly renovated beach home is equipped with brand-new furnishings and located in a quiet Kure Beach neighborhood, but not too far from grabbing a bite out or an ice cream from one of several businesses nearby. Neighboring Carolina Beach, it's boardwalk, restaurants and shopping is just minutes away via car or golf cart. Check out Fort Fisher, the NC Aquarium and the ferry to Southport only minutes away. The home's two bedrooms can accommodate 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. The second bedroom may be converted into one bed for a group with two couples. Both bedrooms have comfy mattresses, wall mounted TVs and the comforts of home with extra pillows and throw blankets. The kitchen is well stocked and includes a coffee nook with supplies, dining table for 4 and cookware for your dining preferences. Our living room has a couch and rattan rocker you won’t want to leave and a 55 inch TV to watch movies and TV shows along with a variety of games, books and activities for little ones. Come home from a day at the beach and enjoy the outdoor shower with hot and cold water, shampoo and body wash to rinse off your sandy toes and then relax on our backyard deck with patio lights and a gas grill to cook your favorite meal.

While you’re here, also check out Joe Eakes Park for bocce, disc golf, tennis or pickle ball. Explore the natural wonder at the Coquina Outcrop during low tide (we have a tide clock in our kitchen) near the Ft Fisher Recreation Park. Try and find the Venus Flytraps along the Venus Flytrap Trail at the Carolina Beach State Park along with several other hiking trails that wind along the Cape Fear River.

Great location you can see the ocean access from the drivewayGreat for 3 or 4 people . Everything is there like in home. If it was warmer we would use outside space.

Wonderful property and hosts

Perfect beach cottage

This was our third stay here at the Salty Casita. It’s just perfect. Close and walkable to the beach. Every amenity you could want. Quiet and cozy. Hosts have provided everything you need and home is nicely appointed. Some places feel like they give you the bare minimum, but the Salty Casita feels like a home.

Great beach stay

Our family of four really enjoyed our stay at Salty Casita. It was clean and comfortable, making it a great place to relax between beach time and exploring surrounding areas. We appreciated the organization and availability of all we needed, from kitchen to beach supplies. The backyard space was a nice bonus! We'd be happy to return.

Perfect Everything!!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Salty Casita bungalow!! Everything is provided and more! It’s so close to everything we wanted and needed! Quiet get away in cozy beach cottage

10/10 we went for a week long visit to the beach and this was the perfect location that was close to the beach, yet cozy and peaceful. It had everything that was needed to make our stay comfortable and is very nicely decorated. Linda was easy to communicate with and when we let her know of an issue it was address right away. I would recommend the Salty Casita and we have went ahead and already booked our next stay we liked it so much.

Lovely long weekend

Beautiful place with super thoughtful details and amenities. The hosts were so communicative and had tended to so many small things that made a big difference like a welcome card, having the firepit already set up for us, and leaving the porchlight on. Loved the quick walk to the beach and relative quiet compared with Carolina Beach. Would definitely recommend!

Perfect :)

My husband and I booked this house for a long weekend with my cousin and her husband. We had a family wedding to attend that was a few minutes from the house, which made it very easy and convenient. The house was ready ahead of time, was clean and well stocked with any and everything we could have needed. A very short walk to the beach where we saw SO many beautiful shells. Our stay was perfect for what we were looking for and had a great time.

Winter getaway from the north

Pleasant vicinity with easy access to beach. Enjoyable location for walks and shell hunting. Lights on when we arrived after dark made for a welcome arrival.

We loved the Salty Casita. Linda and John are wonderful hosts, their cottage is warm and inviting, and they have provided for every need. We loved the proximity to the beach and the fire pit. Their place is spotless and quiet. We’d love to visit again. Thank you for hosting us!

Perfect House & Excellent Location!! A++

A weekend stay with my husband and two kids. Great location, 2 blocks from public beach access and a short drive to an awesome aquarium. The home was perfect for our family; the kitchen was well appointed, beach toys and beach cart available for use. The beach cart was especially appreciated! The home has access to two adult beach cruisers and the firepit was stocked with wood. The beds were comfy (better than other VRBO's we've stayed in) with extra pillows and blankets. The hosts had decorated for the holidays and had a hot cocoa bar and cookies for the kids. Seriously, just a lovely stay. The hosts had excellent communication with us. No notes. Just lovely in all regards. We will be back for sure. This is definitely going to be our go to location when we visit Kure Beach in the future!

Perfect mother daughter stay

We absolutely loved the Salty Casita. It was spotlessly clean and everything you need is provided. It’s a very short 3 min walk to the beach which was perfect. We would highly recommend staying here and would definitely stay again.

Return to Paradise

This home is so lovely, we came for a second time. I love that the beach is just a three minute walk and everything is provided, from towels to a beach cart to chairs and toys. We were able to both cook dinner and enjoy local restaurants. Truly everything you could need is here, even laundry amenities to get a load done before you head home. Warning: you will not want to head home.

Home away from home

Our stay at the Salty Casita was perfect! The house was beautifully decorated, super clean and the owners have thought of everything you would need for a stellar beach vacation! We loaded up all of the provided beach supplies (chairs, toys, umbrella and boogie board) in the convenient beach wagon and took the super short walk to the beach! This was perfect for the days that our 2 year old wanted a break from the waves and the sand! We could easily walk back to the house for nap time. The outdoor shower was key for rinsing off the sand at the end of the day! For next time we will bring way less stuff because they have it all- even children’s dinnerware and sippy cups! The owners were super responsive whenever we reached out and they checked in to make sure we were enjoying our stay! These two provide such a personal touch with a warm welcome letter and even little gift toys for our little guy! Will definitely be coming back here!!

Salt-tastic!

Wow! We loved everything about the Salty Casita! It was the perfect place for our family of four to spend our summer vacation. The house was so clean and we felt right at home. We had everything we needed to be comfortable and then some. The owners provided many extras and were really thoughtful. I haven’t stayed in another vrbo that was so well stocked. We also really liked the way the house was decorated. Super cute! It was a short walk to the beach, had a great outdoor shower, lots of outdoor seating options, and really comfortable beds. The owners checked in with us several times to make sure we were enjoying our stay. We made lots of fun memories and appreciate you sharing your home with us!

Won’t Disappoint

The location is fantastic! Close enough to walk to the pier and and a few restaurants without being in busy area, and a very short walk to the beach. They though of everything in terms of the essentials and beyond. For my family of 3, it was perfect. Highly recommended!

Mother-Daughter Celebration Trip

I booked Salty Casita for my daughter and me. It was better than the pictures/reviews online! The hosts have thought of everything! Comfy beds, restful decor, full coffee bar, wood for fire pit, any needed beach item, bottles of soap/shampoo at every sink/shower (the one outside is awesome), well stocked kitchen with fun place settings, games, comfy couch, outdoor areas in front and back for lounging, even mosquito spray (which we didn’t need because weather was perfect.) Hosts even left ice for us so we didn’t have to rush to get any. Easy shopping nearby if you need to get groceries. Restaurants/coffee shop in walking distance. Gorgeous clear water and sand! The wave action was amazing. Easy 1 block walk to beach access. out. We so appreciated the welcome package and sweet card for us to celebrate together. I had mentioned to the owners that this was a celebration trip for my daughter since she graduated from college. She also got married a little over a year ago and now lives on a working goat farm where she raises goats. Farm life, full time school, and first year of marriage has kept her very busy. She really enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. This was our first time to any NC Beach! Kure and definitely The Salty Casita—certainly were the right choices for us! Thank you for being so welcoming and sharing your home. It was an honor to be your guest. We will be back! Your communication was 5 star!

Great little property!

This was a great property for us and our preschool aged child. The kids bedroom was perfect and had a nightly already installed in it, and there weren't so many collectibles set around that we had to worry about our child damaging something. Overall the property was well decorated and welcoming, but still very functional. It was a 2-minute walk to the beach and since it is off season the beach was very empty and pleasant. Very close to the aquarium and fort Fisher Park. 10 minute drive to restaurants and Carolina beach. We would definitely stay here again if we were going to Kure Beach!
