Visit Captain's Cove and experience all the creature comforts this quaint vacation gem has to offer. The condo itself is laden with niceties, highlighted by its huge balcony with views of the natural landscape and the lovely Intracoastal Waterway. The spacious open floor plan is tastefully decorated and features a fully equipped kitchen, dining table for four, and living area complete with a mounted flatscreen television. Both bedrooms are welcoming and cheerful with a king-size bed in the main bedroom and a queen in the second bedroom. The main suite is extremely roomy and has an adjoining bathroom with a walk-in shower.

WHAT'S NEARBY
The Captain's Cove Complex with its 27 waterfront condos is conveniently located in Indian Shores, Florida. It is a three-minute walk to award-winning beaches featuring emerald turquoise waters and sugary sand beaches. This property overlooks the Intracoastal, teeming with activity. You'll see everything from fishermen to dolphins and speed boats to blue herons. The complex sits back off of Gulf Boulevard giving it a more private and quiet feeling. They were built in 2002 making them one of the newer complexes in Indian Shores. You will enjoy the private tropical heated pool with guest baths and the private fishing pier and dock.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Indian Shores February 2024 Stay

This is a clean and nicely updated condo with close walking access to the beach and all the space and amenities for a small family with two bedrooms and two baths. We'd stay here again

Convenient and Spacious

There were several things we enjoyed about our stay. The condo was very clean upon arrival. We did have an issue with the access code, but that was resolved quickly by a Vacasa rep. It was also very spacious and roomy. The balcony had a nice view of the intercoastal, and the condo was conveniently located across the street from the beach. There were beach chairs and a wagon that made for easy transport to the beach. Overall we had a great short stay and would stay here again in the future!

Indian shore condo

The Condo was in a great location for doing things the beach was gorgeous very short walk across the street. The room was clean decorated nice grandchildren and the whole family we enjoyed it for a pre-Christmas. Did a little fishing with the grandkids on the dock seen some dolphins nice day. Couple small tweaks could use a newer fry pan need a can opener that works and a few extra batteries for tv remotes. We will be back 😀

Location, location, location!

The place was great and in a great location, love the parking lot under the building bc it kept the vehicle cool when needing to go out and conveniently located across the street from the beach and a small market just block over. The balcony view is gorgeous and very spacious floorplan. The bedrooms are very nicely decorated and having a washer and dryer in the unit was very convenient. It is located on an upper level so there is no elevator but it was a decent workout 😂. Overall great experience and knowledge would definitely stay at this location again.

Such a great week!

We actually had 3 adjoining units My husband & I were able to enjoy a week with his sister & our 4 children & their families. There were a total of 11 adults, 3 toddlers, an infant & 2 small dogs spread throughout the units. What a blessing. Despite the redtide warnings, the beach remained accessible throughout our stay & only fish kill off the intercoastal was the day we left. Very plesant surroundings & fun pool access. Well appointed & well stocked unit with decent wifi at the front, none in the master bedroom.

Little Less Than

The condo has not been kept up to standards of previous owners. There were many little issues and the sliding door totally off track and kept together with wood rods. I will not return, not worth the money.

Nice spacious condo but lack some cleaning

The unit was nice spacious. The location is close to beach and walkable from the public beach access whcih is a plus so you don't need to take the car out. The negatives are the bed, kitchen and bathrooms. The master bedroom pillows have hairs on it and chair was dirty and stained. The utensils in kitechen were not cleaned and stained with still the food on it. The bathroom floor was not clean. Room and main area were clean and spacious. Lot of kids book and games stocked up. The patio is very large and with table and chair but as some one else in the review mentioned, the AC units next to patio are very loud and too much noise. The marina is visible from patio but we were feeling some nasty smell from marina on the patio so didn't enjoyed it much. On arrival i reported to Vacasa about the cleaniness in the kitchen so they sent cleaning staff next morning. Also the unit above has someone with kid or active person and noise barrier is so thin that it was very loud when they walk. They were constantly running and it was too loud to enjoy the quite time. I would not rent this place in future due to all these negatives. I would only consider top floor so that no one is above my head jumping and having loud noise full day.

Condo was dusty like no one had been there in weeks, fire alarm chirped all day, no hot water first day. Could have been better. No lienens for pull out couch.

Family beach weekend

The unit was well stocked and spacious for our group of six. The view is the inter coastal was great the the beach was only a short walk away. Booking, checking in and out was efficient and easy.

Had so much fun!!!

Such a comfortable, well appointed unit, providing all basic essentials to allow for a really fun time! We had such a wonderful memory making visit, loved the pool, enjoyed the beach, fishing & relaxing. Thank you for your hospitality!

Fantastic Accommodation

Very clean, well furnished and the balcony view of the intercoastal were a few of the highlights. Very close to the beach, wagons, beach chair and towels were all provided. 2 bits of feedback...the air conditioning units are right beside the balcony so is noisy out there but the view trumped the noise. And a better bottle opener would be great! We would definitely stay here again.

Great location and lots of space!

Had a great stay....only complaint was the weather! Rained on us for the first couple of days but great after that. Location is perfect. Everything is within walking distance.

Wonderful Stay!

We were so impressed with the property we will try to rent it again next year during the same time frame. I did notice that the properties rent has increased considerably and wondering if there was any ability since we just completed our stay to get a discount for being repeat renters for the same unit. Again we loved the place and it lived up to the description on the website.

Vacation getaway

At first after reading a recent comment about bedbugs I was very nervous but after talking to the office they assured me the condo had been shut down and treated multiple times and that the owners had stayed to confirm everything was well and the first thing I did before I brought anything inside including my kids was go in and check and we had no issues! Condo is nice, beds are a little firm but very close to beach access and sitting out by the bay early morning is so peaceful! My biggest complaint is that the first and only time the main shower was used it was clogged and did not drain, I called to have Maintanance come fix it but was told it wasn’t urgent enough and they would send someone Monday... that’s when we checked out so all though I rented a condo with 2 bed and 2 bath we all had to share the master bedroom shower! Other than that was an excellent stay! Parking garage is a little tight but we made it work!

Bed bugs

Upon arrival it was confusing about where we were suppose to go. We figured it out we went into the condo and it was very hot in there. We always check for unwanted guest and we found them in the couch in the living room. We didn't want to stay with bed bugs so we contacted the manager and they offered to give us a full refund but that didn't help at the time we were out 700+ dollars and no where to stay. They didn't have another property for us to go to. The also refused to put us in a hotel for the night and it was 9pm when we got there. We are still waiting for the funds to be deposited into our account. They stated it could take 3 to 5 business days.

Great Spot to relax!

We loved this property and the view. We met a great Blue Heron on the dock we affectionately named Harry who would fly in and hang out about a foot away from us when we were boat watching. The pool was so relaxing and kept very clean. We had some minor issues (smoke detector beeping) but the number to call was easily found and was taken care of promptly. The kitchen was well stocked to make dinners when we ate at the condo. I loved having a wagon, beachtowels, beachchairs to use to go to the beach. We loved it here!

Indian Shores - Great Visit

We stayed at this location for a little over a week. It was the perfect spot. The beaches were not overcrowded. The condo was great - only complaint was that the beds were uncomfortable and you can hear every step the upstairs neighbors take up the stairs. Definitely recommend!

Sink, shower and products

When we arrived there was a dead cockroach in the drain that came up from the sink. Kids were freaked out about that. There were no others found. No cleaning products left, except unbranded dish soap and a couple of packets for the dishwasher. I had to go out and buy bleach to clean the shower and tub which I left. Shower handle didn’t work properly, the shower wouldn’t shut off. Had to wait for maintenance to fix it. Had to order a new handle, and came back the next day. They did get it to stop running the first day. No coffee for the keurig machine, but I left some for the next guest. No laundry products for the washer and dryer, but if you used the beach towels, you needed to wash them or get charged. The King bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious. The cleaning lady did leave a ripped sheet on the bed though, which I was a little shocked. Kids were going to sleep on the sleeper one night and watch tv....they opened it up and said it was stained and disgusting. Location was great. Parking spots were really small. When we were leaving, I noticed the person that parked right next to me in the guest spot hit my bumper. The taillight and bumper were popped out. Property was close to the beach access. Just a quick walk.

Beach visit

Nice, comfortable property. Good views of the intracoastal waterway. Access to pool and fishing dock. Clean and sufficiently stocked as advertised. Tenants in unit above us were sometimes annoyingly heavy-footed. This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.
