Experience historic character and modern luxury in one of Stephenville’s most unique stays. An atomic ranch-style home built in 1961, the Wolfe House is a Stephenville landmark. Located on the historic Wolfe House property, this fully renovated guest house blends high-end comfort and upscale amenities with rare architectural details—including authentic stained glass dating back to the mid-1800s, originally crafted in Germany and later brought to Mineral Wells, Texas. Inside, you’ll find a thoughtfully designed one-bedroom retreat featuring a queen bed with reading sconces, a spacious marble bathroom with a walk-in shower (including an extended-height shower head), and a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Enjoy a great night's sleep on a brand new queen-size Casper bed. The coffee & tea bar make for wonderful mornings on the patio. Enjoy your favorite shows and movies with ROKU while relaxing on the comfortable double reclining leather sofa with adjustable head rests. We have a no-smoking policy inside, but it is permitted outside on the patio and lawn. No pets are allowed, as we strive to provide a pleasant place for people who have allergies. Location was perfect and communication with host was wonderful. Rebecca was very quick to answer and always helpful. The little apartment was extremely clean and they thought of everything a traveler would need. Would definitely stay here again! 10/10 experience!

Everything was wonderful and the small apartment was so nice. The only suggestion is to add grab bars in the shower as the description seems like the apartment is ADA.

This property was top tier on every level! It was extremely clean and cozy! In each space, the host provided extra amenities to make you feel at as though you were at home. I also enjoyed having the garage available for our car to be covered. I have no complaints about anything and I look forward to staying here again!

We loved our stay here! The place is cozy but perfect for 2 people. The decor and accommodations were very nice, and all the little extras made it see very warm and inviting. The owners were very easy to work with, providing clear and simple instructions for everything. We would definitely stay here again.

This was one of our favorite stays ever! The house was beautiful, peaceful, and private. The host’s communication was exceptional and they made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We’ll definitely be back — this place is a true gem!

Great stay near Tarleton

I booked this property for a quick trip to visit Tarleton and was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and very well appointed apartment which is walking distance to campus! I will absolutely stay here again!

Fantastic Place

We loved our stay here. The hosts were great to work with and the property was adorable, comfortable, and super clean. It was also well stocked with anything you could think you might need. We look forward to staying here again!

This is by far one of the best places I’ve stayed. The hospitality was perfect and the property itself was absolutely amazing. I highly recommended staying here for a nice get away or just an overnight stay. I definitely will be back!

Relaxing!

We really enjoyed our time at this location. Very clean and accommodating and the location was perfect. The hosts were a pleasure to work with and would definitely recommend if you are looking for a weekend getaway or need some downtime! Just a great all around experience!

This is a great 1 bedroom to stay in. Easy communication with owners - they made us feel at home. Short drive to campus. Had absolutely everything we needed or might have missed from packing!

The former mother-in-law suite now turned guest house has been completely renovated to be filled with light and give a place of peace and rest. Every detail has been thought through, at least you will see we definitely tried. We chose a highly rated Casper mattress, with soft bedding; two choices of window shades to choose from, soft filtered light to black out to get the sleep you need. Super comfortable adjustable leather sofa with convenient USB ports on each side, with black out curtains for glare free TV watching on the 55" screen with Roku to access all streaming networks. Yes, you will have popcorn to pop!
The wonderful shower head is so relaxing with on demand hot water.
The patio is a great place to enjoy the birds singing and watch the sunrise coming through the trees while you enjoy your cup of coffee or tea with all the various types of sweeteners and creamers we offer.
We are in the heart of Stephenville, three blocks from Tarleton State Univ.
We are in a family neighborhood near an elementary school, so sometimes when outdoors you may hear the children playing. The guest house is well insulated but we need to mention that train tracks also run through the city and for any light sleepers we offer a white noise machine, just in case.
We have a lot of song birds all year long in our backyard, in spring and summer we have three Mississippi Kites (hawks) that have a favorite perch nearby.
We have two very sweet outdoor cats that love people but will also give you your space. We hope when you stay in our guest house you can see and feel all the quality craftsmanship, effort and love that went into re-designing this space.
