This cabin has all the peace and quiet you’re looking for in a vacation rental. The cabin has two acres of property itself and a beautiful view of aspen and pines that you can enjoy while snuggling up to a spacious fire pit. The Island Park area used to be a best kept secret. Now, along highway 20, there’s a constant hum of tourists for the summer. This place offers a break from the hustle and bustle of summer tourists, with a location close enough to enjoy a day trip into Yellowstone National Park. If you want to take a break from the park, there are plenty of local activities and stunning sites to fill your trip. The nearby mountains are full of animals and flowers. A great place to enjoy outdoor games and grill, go for a hike, or hop on your four wheeler with endless dirt roads to explore. Island Park Reservoir is nearby and is the local lake for water recreation. Also plenty of world class rivers and lakes to fish. We recommend calling a local guide shop for tips.

Amazing. Just perfect.

The cabin was everything we needed for a week get away. Privacy, amenities, wildlife and location. We had an amazing time and will be back next year. It was PERFECT.

A peaceful stay in the woods.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. The bed in the loft was very comfortable and sitting out at the bonfire as the animals around us woke up was very peaceful. Thank you!

A+ for quiet and seclusion

We are 58 and 60, and stayed for a weekend. The property was quiet and beautiful, and we had all that we needed. I deducted 1 star for the roads (very rutted), but that is not within the owner’s control. Note: if you are scared of heights, you need to know that the main bedroom is in a loft, and you must climb a ladder. After a few climbs, I was okay with it.

Great time, thank you.

We stayed for two nights. It is a great little getaway with a fire pit. Clean and comfortable. We didn’t fully consider what it would be like climbing up and down a loft ladder to use the restroom in the night! But, would recommend for the young and spry! Thanks 😊

Nice cabin in the woods

The communication with the owner/manager of the property was perfect. They were very responsive answering in less than an hour and provided very helpful information. The cabin was exceptionally clean and well equipped. It was easy to connect to the Wi-Fi, which was necessary as there is no mobile coverage in the area. When I booked this reservation, I had no idea how large the area of island Park Idaho actually was. I would note that the location is somewhat remote and about 13-14 miles or 20 minutes from the nearest grocery store. All that being said, it was impressively quiet at night and the Owner/manager did everything within their power to make it a great stay.

Nice getaway

My two boys (9/12) and I stayed here in July. The place is small, but worked for what we needed. We enjoyed using the grill at night and had dinner on the picnic table next to the fire. Getting in and out is a little tough, the roads are pretty bumpy - we had rented a truck for our trip...a sedan might not fare as well on the roads, so keep that in mind. The communication was great, pictures accurate and about a 45 minute drive to the West Yellowstone entrance.

The location of the property seamed different on the add and we were led to believe that the canoe would be used on the property but we just saw some very wet ground not a lake but still really enjoyed the cabin it was taken good care of

Great stay and location!

We stayed here for a week long trip to Yellowstone and Grand Teton NP for our anniversary. Cabin was secluded in a beautiful setting. The cabin is stocked with a lot of great amenities. Island Park is a beautiful town. We would definitely stay here again!

Stunning, remote, cozy and perfect

Our stay was absolutely perfect. This cabin was cozy and remote with all the amenities necessary for comfort. The beds were so so comfortable and a great bathroom with excellent water pressure etc. This place is less than an hour from Yellowstone and two or so from the Tetons. Perfect place. Island Park has fantastic parks and some good places to eat and groceries. If we return to the area, I would stay here in a heartbeat. Gorgeous and peaceful. If you are not used to remote roads, would recommend a 4WD vehicle, but it's probably doable in a car, we saw plenty!

Cabin Review

Loved the cabin - so cozy and peaceful, stocked with everything needed. Close to West Yellowstone so we were able to spend our days there and come back and enjoy the quietness and relax. Such a great find! Also loved seeing a momma moose + baby in the yard too!

Great little hideaway

We had a great time staying at this cozy cabin in the woods. Everything was very clean and we had everything we could have needed. Super quiet and very beautiful. I would definitely recommend if you want to get away and get out in nature.

Cabin in the woods

Everything was great! The only issue we had was with the roads to the cabin. They are unpaved and with the recent rains were difficult to maneuver. Otherwise everything was wonderful and we even woke up our first morning to see a mama moose and her baby feeding right on the property.

Cabin in the Woods

We enjoyed our stay in this cabin for our Yellowstone trip. The cabin has all the modern amenities with rustic charm. It was well stocked, the owners really thought of everything.. The area is quiet and peaceful, something we don’t get at home!

Amazing Getaway

We had a great time! The property is in the mountains and definitely feels like an escape. We spent our time in Yellowstone during the day and the commute time isn't bad at all-maybe 40 minutes or so. Very cozy cabin with everything you need!

Exceptional!

This place is the ultimate get away! Location is perfect for all you will want to do. It's quiet,remote, yet not to remote. U can see neighbors but not many, you will be wrapped up in watching the wildlife! Beautiful place to sit in the shade or cozy up to the fire pit. Has nice lawn chairs. The cabin is to die for. Super clean, new but the real Idaho feel. Beds are great. They supply everything almost! From hair dryer and curling iron to fluffy towels in the bath. Even makeup wipes! They even have spices in the cabinet, trash bags and ice cold water in the fridge. Owners live across the way and are fantastic people. So nice in helping us find great atv trails. They even have a canoe for you to use! Best vrbo rental in Island Park Idaho. 5 stars for sure. We look forward to our next visit! Thanks Justin, Brad and Janet!

Great isolated cabin experience

This cabin is really nice for some peace and quiet, you don’t hear anything and it’s a great break. The cabin is cute, clean, and has all the amenities you need to be comfortable in the woods. The communication with the property manager was great he was always responding within minutes of any questions or concern and we felt very very well taken care of. The ONLY draw back is the distance from Yellowstone, it’s an hour drive to the park then once you get to the park it’s two hours to get into the park. That’s not the fault of this VRBO at all but just a heads up. Still five star worthy

Quaint and in the woods!

If you are looking a great place away from the hustle and bustle of life this is is it, well away from the craziness of Island Park but within 20 min of main highway. The check in process was easy, once it’s found. The emailed directions conflicted with the VRBO instructions and then the property has many ‘No Trespassing’ signs on either side of the access road that make it even more confusing. The kitchen could use some additional basics; measuring cups and spoons, a cookie sheet or jelly roll pan (something without holes), and an additional sauce pan and some lids for the pots and pans. We had to get creative the first night but did make what was there work. The bed is comfortable, if you’re afraid of heights or ladders this may not be your place. The place could use a small fan in the upstairs to get some air movement in the summer, first night got a little stuffy cause their was no wind or even a breeze. The movie selection was great. We throughly enjoyed our stay and it was exact what we were looking for getting away from the hustle and bustle of the world. We would stay here again if we are in the area.

Absolutely wonderful

Host was very friendly and recommend a lot of great local spots! We had a great time and love this perfect gem tucked away near a peaceful meadow amidst the beautiful wilderness!
