I really enjoyed my stay! This home has a lot of character. Knowing it was built in 1849 made the experience feel unique, and it looks like the owners are updating it while preserving its historic charm.The location was perfect. It’s right by the water, within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and other attractions so we didn’t need to drive. Loved relaxing on the porch the large sectional was a great place to sit and relax. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the host was friendly, responsive, and easy to communicate with throughout my stay.I happened to visit during an extreme heat wave so the upstairs became pretty warm but it may not be an issue during typical weather. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a unique stay in a fantastic, walkable location!

First and foremost the host was very responsive and took care of us. The location of the property is amazing and great location. The Bayard house restaurant is amazing. That is where you pick up keys. Now for the home. Keep in mind it is from 1849 so much older very cool home. My only complaints are: It could use some updating. The appliance our dated. The upstairs carpet has visible signs of wear and stains and the paint needs done as there are spots that are done others that are not. Found electrical outlet in room missing. The shower has little pressure when hot water is on and if you turn on cold you get pressure but water is extremely cold. Again the home is old and the things I note did not ruin our trip by any means! But for the price you would like the little details like this to be much higher standards. I would truly stay again if these things were fixed! Great location great host and amazing little town.

Middle of it all at the cottage

Had a blast staying at the cottage during the 4 th of July weekend , we Mack in the middle of all the events going on with a amazing view of the fireworks and listen to several bands playing in the community park 15 steps from the cottage. Ownership was over the top friendly and very supportive of any needs.

Beautiful on the outside not so much Inside

The location can't be beat, Beautiful outside porch, however only a few hard chairs to sit on. Inside Is small with an old sofa and chair. We did not receive any check In or out Instructions. We had to check around town to figure out how to get In the place.

Unable to contact host

Love the place but host of property never responds. The person listed on the site (Bob) as host is part owner but when you call him, he states he is not responsible for the cottage reservations. No one ever messages you back or calls you back. I am not sure that anyone is even pay attention to the site.
