This is a great location in Danbury,Wisconsin. Only a short distance from gas and grocery stores.Lake 26 is a great lake. As we all know, rain has been super scarce this year. The beach front is AMAZINGLY sandy and shallow. Great for swimming. We loved It- as did our grandson (age 4). There were was some poison ivy you needed to be aware of- the hosts were aware and had already been treating it.I acknowledge, we were in a hurry to leave for work reasons and we left our salads andCheeses in the fridge. UGH!!!! I have never made this mistake before. I contacted our hosts about 2 hours after we left to let them know about our mistake. I also offered to pay for any extra cleaning fees.It is on a hill overlooking lake 26. The location and lake are beautiful.

Great cabin

There is plenty of room for guests to feel comfortable. The rooms are spacious, the main floor is heated, the patio provides an amazing view. Overall this was a great place to stay.

Family Get-away

What an amazing place to stay! The property is absolutely beautiful and the cabin was spotless! We loved the three season porch! The annex addition made it so we were able to have two families stay very comfortably! The pontoon was wonderful, and the kids loved the beach and water toys.

Rustic heaven

This was a super cute rustic paradise. Super quiet lake that my family vacationed at for the first 20 years of my life, was great to visit 30 years later. Would definitely recommend.

Family vacation!

We had a great long weekend stay! Beautiful cabin, great views, fun on the water, good fishing, Pardun’s canoe rental on the St. Croix- (Jerry’s the best) and beautiful trails! So much to do, lots of nature to see! We will definitely be back. Owners did a great job communicating with us and the place is fully stocked - really enjoyed the cabin esp the front porch.

This was a beautiful cabin very well laid out for our family with separate sleeping areas so everyone had privacy. Each “wing” had 2 bedrooms & a bathroom & were connected via a screened in room with a big long table. That was our favorite place to hang as a group. The married couples really appreciated the king sized beds in 2 of the rooms so that was a plus. We appreciated the use of the pontoon & thankfully had a seasoned boater along, so he knew exactly how to drive it.There were a couple of jet skis & a tubing boat one day, but it was mostly just fishing boats so kayaking was perfect. The fire pit was nice & we appreciated the metal poker attached to one of the trees down there so we could move logs.Had just a couple of issues – – one being that my husband who is 6’4” kept hitting his head coming out of the front door where the overhang is so future guests make note & pay attention. The other issue which was a biggie for us was that the Wi-Fi refused to cooperate & when it WAS operating was running at .5 GB when we ran speed tests. Hosts did send someone out to check & they said it tested fine but it truly wasn’t working. We ended up having to check out a day early because of this due to scheduled telework meetings. That was very disappointing but hope it works next time we stay because we’d love to come back. T-mobile has terrible coverage there so no hotspot to use. Overall great place but you don’t realize how much you use WiFi until you don’t have it.

Family Getaway

We booked this house for a week long family vacation and it did not disappoint. We had seven adults and one infant and had plenty of space for everyone. The screened in patio was our favorite place to hang out. We loved having access to the boat and quick access to the UTV trails. We are already looking forward to coming back next summer!

Beautiful lakefront cabin

The property was perfect for multiple families with separate living spaces. Best sunsets I’ve ever seen looking west over the lake. Plenty of activities for kids and adults between the pontoon boat an paddle boards/kayak. Everything was great. We will Definitely try to book this property every year

Wisconsin Paradise

This property was perfection! It is beautiful and clean. The lake was great for fishing and playing. Everything we needed was there waiting for us. All the "extras" exceeded everything we could have wished for. We can't wait to go go back!

Family Week

Great stay! Grandma and Grandpa struggled with the 46 steps from dock to deck but the rest of the family was fine with it - even our 3 yo grandson. Loved that the beautiful and clean pontoon boat came wit the rental. May be nack!

The BEST cabin/lake/northwoods getaway!

We LOVED every minute of our stay at this delightful place! It was incredibly clean, furnished perfectly, had ample sleeping for our family of 5, the perfect kitchen with all the tools we needed, lots of outdoor places to sit and dine, a BEAUTIFUL screened porch where we drank coffee every morning and ate dinner every night, a picturesque zero-gravity, sandy lake entrance, and a lovely boat to cruise around in! Absolutely recommend 100% if you're looking for a family (or friends) get away! Looking forward to when we can rent this very special place again! Cant say enough aobut how memorable our experience was!

Relaxing family getaway

This cabin has everything that you would need for a lake vacation. The kitchen is well stocked, beach towels provided, cribbage boards and playing cards, kayaks and paddleboards, fire pit with chairs, lots of dining table space. The annex layout is really a nice feature and creates a separate living area - we had our grandkids along and couldn't hear a peep in the main cabin. The lake is nice and shallow and the lids had a blast fishing off the dock. There were eagles soaring overhead and loons with babies swimming about. We did have an A/C malfunction one night and the host was great with communication and got a technician there to fix it asap. My family is already asking when they can go back to the cabin.

Magical Cabin on Crystal Clear Lake

This isn't your typical cabin... it has the details of a traditional log cabin, but the modern amenities for a family. Our hosts thought of every detail to ensure we had an incredible experience. From charging stations on each nightstand to the immaculate pontoon, there wasn't an amenity lacking at the property. It is large enough for a big family, yet has intimate and private spaces for each person to retreat and relax. I cannot describe the indelible memories we created during our week at the cabin. P.S. I highly recommend you book this cabin, and be sure to ask about the tiny "cabin gnome" above the fireplace! :)

The One

My family (husband, myself and two small children), sibling and parents have been coming up to Northwoods WI every Summer since 2020 and haven't stayed at the same place twice. This cabin is definitely worth a repeat visit! The annex addition is wonderful to keep the kids area separate when sleeping. The house is very nicely stocked - kitchen, bath, lake accessories, etc. We loved the use of the kayaks, paddle boards and pontoon!! Having a screened in area was definitely what has been missing from other homes - outdoor/lake vibes without the bugs. The lake area is absolutely perfect - wonderful dock with nice chairs/bench, steps down into crystal clear water and sandy bottom!! We also caught so many fish right off the dock! This cabin was definitely... the one!

Wonderful Layout!

When you pull up to this cabin it looks quite rustic - which made us a bit nervous. Coming to the lake side on the deck and going in quelled all fears. It is kind of 2 cabins connected by a 3-season porch. For a mixed group it is a really nice arrangement. Going into the historic cabin, the living spaces, kitchen and loft are really nice. The kitchen is very nicely appointed with a grille right outside on the deck. Everything you need for cooking and grilling is there. The 'annex' cabin is 2 rooms and a bathroom. The bedrooms are comfortable and clean. The bathrooms are nice (also clean) - the main cabin has 2 more bedrooms and a bathroom, and the loft upstairs is a nice getaway if you need it. We spent a lot of time in the 3 season porch which was the perfect size for chatting, playing games, and eating for a large group. Outside, the dock and sandy bottom swimming area was great - and easy for launching the kayaks and paddleboards. The pontoon is very nice. We used it for fishing in the mornings (decent fishing lake - northern pike, bluegills, sunfish, bass) and took evening cruises around the lake. The fire pit has new furniture and enough seating for a large group. Summertime s'mores, some beers, watching the sunset and listening to the loons is what north lake country is all about. We dont typically repeat cabin rentals as we like to move around - but we WILL be coming back to this one.

Great cabin on a crystal clear lake. Swimming right from shore was very nice. Kayaks, paddle boards and of course the very nice pontoon was a great feature. The property felt private and is in a great location. The cabin is fully stocked with everything you need to cook and has plenty of bath towels and beach towels. We spent most of our time in the large screened in porch over looking the lake. I would recommend booking this cabin as it takes you back in time with the historic log cabin, but has all the newer amenities that makes a vacation comfortable.
