The house was even more perfect than expected. The amenities were endless and very family friendly home stocked with feeding essentials, etc. the overall experience was amazing and we will be back!

Great stay, highly recommend for groups big or small!

This locations was impeccable, with the house having everything you could want along with some amazing view/scenery!

Beautiful property!

I would 100% recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the area. The property and surrounding area is beautiful! The home was well furnished and very clean and Andrea was great to work with throughout the process of booking the reservation.

San Juan Retreat

Great home for an expanded family. Grandkids loved the hiking trail and their own space. Young adults enjoyed the hot tub. The outdoor balcony was great for morning coffee and watching chipmunks.This location between Durango and Silverton, and not too far to Ouray was perfect for jeepin the area trails.

This cabin from the inside and out is just amazing. Great views. Andrea the host was great with communication. Very clean place and has everything you need.

Family Vacation

This house is absolutely perfect for larger family vacations especially who have young children. The house was well equipped with a pack n play, high chair and even some kitchen items kid friendly.

Best VRBO ever

What a great place. Perfectly centralized between Silverton and Durango. Andrea is amazing and very attentive to any needs or requests. This is a perfect place for winter or summer use. Definitely the best VRBO my family has ever experienced.

Perfection!

Absolutely lovely luxury mountain home! Perfectly appointed and maintained; fantastic job with marketing and signage throughout. A lovely trip for our family to vacation in our favorite spot and this home served as the perfect location to do so!

Beautiful Durango home near Purgatory

House was beautiful! Wonderful location. Had a great view with a short walk/hike to incredible views! Kitchen was well stocked and had great games/ activities for kids as well! Great communication with host through entire process. Would definitely stay here again!

This place was absolutely stunning!

I can't say enough good things about this house and the host. Everything was seamless. The house was stunning in everyway. The beds were so comfortable! The views from the trail were beyond breathtaking. We will definitely be back!!

Home away from home

This cabin was spotless, well maintained, and fully equipped. It was also in a beautiful location.The cabin had every thing we could need in an home. Andrea was a pleasure to work with providing quick responses. We can’t wait to make a return.

Off The Beaten Path Cabin

We stayed during a snowstorm, and getting to the property was beautifully scenic (though could be challenging if not in the appropriate vehicle). The property was clean and tidy, with basic necessities. Great home for a skiing group!

Peaceful getaway

Perfect house for 4 couples. Very quiet, at the end of the road. Close to all the activities at Purgatory resort, hiking trails, lakes, and more. The house was stocked with everything you need. It was very well laid out for group. Only wish we could stay longer.

Wonderful way to ring in the new year

San Juan retreat has everything and more. From the fully stocked kitchen to the toys and sleds for the kids, they have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and complete. The hot tub was great for those after ski sore muscles and the sled hill right outside in the backyard gave our boys (11, 10, 9 and 4) endless fun! Rooms were large and the beds were cozy, the entire home was spotless. We highly recommend this beautiful cabin and can’t wait to stay again.

Amazing mountain cabin

We stayed at this home for a week to take advantage of skiing at Purgatory. The house was immaculate. We enjoyed everything about it, from the fully stocked kitchen to the wonderful outdoor hot tube overlooking the beautiful surrounding forest. The house was very clean, in great condition, and the hosts are wonderful. We will be coming back!

Beautiful cabin, beautiful views, perfect trip!

We can’t say enough wonderful things about our stay at San Juan Retreat. The cabin is in a gorgeous location and an easy drive to downtown Durango and several different hiking areas. We were amazed at how well stocked the cabin is, from extra toothbrushes to every kitchen tool you could need. The 4 king beds are super comfortable and the rooms are spacious. The deck was one of our favorite spots to hang out and we loved watching the birds in the mornings! We wished we had stayed another few days!

Columbine Lake.

I usually don't write reviews, but this place deserves a 5 star.The owner Andrea was very nice and helpful, she responded to my emails quickly. The place was very clean and decorated very nice. It had everything we need well stock. The location was beautiful. Enough room for 10 people to be comfortable. I would stay here again.

Cycling Trip with Friends

Fantastic property and location between Durango and Silverton! Very quiet and private setting. Wonderful indoor and outdoor spaces to relax, and a hiking trail right out the back door. Appreciated the helpful communications, very comfortable (king!) beds, well appointed bathrooms. 5 stars!
