Luxury Elkpoint Townhome - True Ski in/Ski Out - Best Location (End Unit)

Our 2,600 square foot, 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom townhome (Unit 11) is one of the few true ski in/ski out properties at Purgatory Resort built right on the slopes and just a short walk/ski to the main plaza.

The gourmet kitchen has granite counter tops and includes a bar with seating and opens to the main living space and dining area, giving you plenty of space to relax with family and friends. And the bunk bed room with 55' TV and XBox 360 is a great place for the kids to hang out. The master bedroom has a gas fireplace while the master bathroom has a jacuzzi tub. The townhome has a washer/dryer, high speed WIFI and an attached heated 2 car garage (tandem - with an additional spot in front) that has plenty of storage room for gear.

The townhome is not pet friendly - please do not bring pets or emotional support animas.

The 4% resort fee included in the quote is the required resort fee that must be charged and does not allow access to the Durango Mountain Club. For an additional (and optional) 4% resort fee, you will have access to the Durango Mountain Club which includes an outdoor heated pool with slide, outdoor hot tub and workout facility. When booking, just advise if you would like us to add the additional 4% resort fee.

Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.
Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).

House is in the absolute most perfect spot. You are steps from two different lifts and a short walk to the stores at the resort. House will sleep plenty of people. The kitchen was absolutely perfect. Wonderful place to stay.

True ski in ski out! Unfortunately, the snow was not great at Spring Break due to the extreme heat that Colorado was experiencing. However, we literally walked across the yard and got on the snow and the lift was right there! Best location we have ever had for closeness to lift and Ski Village. The condo was fantastic for a large family! My grandkids loved the bunk room. It had its own tv and couch! The huge family room and kitchen looked right out on the slopes.

Awesome ski in, ski out

This was an amazing location!! We loved the ease of getting to the slopes right from our patio. The kitchen is great, the beds were comfortable, the heated garage was a big plus. The communication with the hosts was fantastic.

Awesome Location

Great location

We’ve stayed at every condo on the mountain. This place was our favorite because of ski in/ out access and short distance to beach area. The only issue was not enough bath towels and struggled to get fireplace going . We loved it so much that we already booked for next Christmas.

True ski in/ski out

This is a true ski in/ski out. Skied down from yellow brick road right to the back door. House was perfect for us. The management company kept in touch with us throughout our stay. We would stay there again.

We had the best time. It is right next to the main lift. The host instantly answered any questions and helped. House was clean.

Great size and good location for exploring southwest colorado

Great setup and layout for large groups. No air conditioning made for warm sleeping in the upstairs bedrooms. In general the condo has a bit of wear and tear but it was totally fine for our extended family trip.

Most properties in the area do not have A/C but we advise guests to open windows at night to let the cool air in and close them during the day to keep it a nice temperature. As a property that hosts numerous guests over time, it is natural for some signs of use to appear. However, we constantly strive to maintain the condo to the highest standards possible. Family Fun

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was by far our favorite so far. It was very accommodating for our group of 8 with even room to spare. The view was wonderful especially for my mother in-law that is 88. She could watch the lifts and skiers come down the mountain. Skiing right down to the porch to grab a quick lunch and right back out to the lift was a big hit. The kitchen had a variety of pots and pans and we cooked all of our meals. We will for sure be booking a stay here again.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Fantastic location! Our group loved the rental and would rent again. Property was well stocked with dishes, pans, and plenty of spices in the kitchen which was nice since we cooked every meal. Ice maker was broken, but they provided us a large bag of ice for our stay. The internet went done the third day, but the management company was very quick to solve the problem and get us back up and running!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of this property is excellent and the service is prompt and friendly. I will likely say there again. Things to consider: the room with 4 bunks is on the bottom of 3 floors, so you will be a ways away from your children. The AC does not work very well and you'll want to open all the windows at night if staying on the 3rd floor. We had to restart the router a few times because with 3 families we likely exceeded the users on the network. Fully stocked kitchen and bar was great and the Yetti cups were a nice touch.

Amanda, Thanks so much for your review and for your stay with us. We greatly appreciate you taking the time to comment upon your stay. One note: The townhome does not have AC. Air conditioning is very rare at 9,000 feet in altitude in Colorado with average temperatures that get down in the 50's at night and daytime temperatures that are rarely out of the low 80's, even in the middle of the summer. Our instructions do advise of this, and we'll double-check them to make sure that information is more obvious. Again, thanks for your visit and we appreciate the opportunity to respond.

Pretty darn good

The location was great. Would have given it 5 stars but had some nits: 1) Many light bulbs were out, including all of the ones above the dining room table. It's a darkly lit unit, so all of the bulbs need to work. 2) The Televisions' "Source" kept changing to a non-active input. Not user friendly. 3) Check-out time of 10:00 AM is too early. 11:00 would be better.

A good outcome, but a nightmare scenario and customer service on check in day

This property is great and you can't beat the location. We had a large group and also utilized a family condo across the plaza; so the close proximity was key in our choosing this unit. Unfortunately, four hours before check-in I was told that we had to be moved. After a few hours of panic (as our group drove towards Purgatory) we were told that we'd be able to stay in this unit; but would it would not be ready until after 4 PM. I was told that they'd pay for dinner; which then changed to 100 maximum for dinner. You can't pay for dinner for 13 people for 100. Ultimately, we didn't get into the unit until 7 PM and our dinner at the Durango Mountain Club (which was well over 100) was covered; but the angst and poor communication in working with the property manger ruined the stay. Additionally, the listing included pool and hot tub, but we did not have access from this unit. Fortunately, we are DMC members and could use our key fobs. I'll think long and hard before I rent from this property manager again.

Cheek family wants to move to CO

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great experience. Almost zero complaints. Keith was always extremely responsive which I really appreciated. The space worked great for our family and we loved the scenery and activities close by. Our kids loved the downstairs room with the XBox and we appreciated them having a place to hang out away from the main areas. We forgot there was no AC and with temps in the 90s even following the tips to keep the house cool it was a bit warm. We wished the attractions/stores/restaurants close by stayed open longer, but understand with this being more of the off season. If you want me to be extremely picky there are a few things that didn’t really impact the enjoyment of our stay but were noticed: ice machine not working, trash left in garage from previous guest, no laundry soap or enough towels to make it through the week and only one dishwasher pod. We understand we could have asked for more of these items so that’s why it didn’t really impact our stay.

Beautiful location. Spacious condo. Needed to be cleaned.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed in several of the ski in ski out Elk point condos. Great location for families with small kids. Unit has plenty of space for a large family. This property needs some cleaning. Cobwebs and dust on fans bed frames light fixtures. Shower curtain and bathroom rug needed to be washed. Shower in upstairs bathrooms had mildew and excess of hard water calcium. Unit says no pets but we found pet hair in bedrooms ended up on our clothes.The rental company supplied plenty of Toilet paper but no supplies for dishes. The couch was in poor condition and they ordered a new one didn’t get there for us but glad to know they were taking care of it.Our family had a great time as always as you can’t get a better location. The unit had baby gates and playpen which was important for the safety of our little ones.They brought a brand new crockpot same day as the lid for current crockpot was missing. Could use a bigger baking sheet pan but otherwise plenty of pans. Staff were friendly and helpful with quick response. Would rent again hopefully they get a better cleaning service as we all know how much we pay for cleaning. Unit could use some updating.

Family 2022 Ski Trip
