This is our actual home. The kitchen provides just about everything needed to prepare culinary specialties inside or grilling on the patio. Three 55" smart TVs to enjoy.

Pittsburgh Birthday Trip

We went to Pittsburgh to celebrate a birthday party for my husband and his friends . The house was perfect for the six of us . It was very clean and had everything we all needed. Our host Mary Lou communicated the arrival instructions very well and provided great tips on getting around Pittsburgh. I would highly recommend this host and property

A very nice stay!

We were visiting family over the Thanksgiving holiday and had a very nice stay at Mary Lou’s home. As a family of 5 adults (2 couples and a single), the 3 bedrooms, 3 baths was a perfect fit, allowing us to have our private spaces as well as space for together time. It was clean and the beds were very comfy. The common spaces are well set up: the living room has a large sectional with reclining armchairs on each end; there's a dining-room with a large table; and the den on the lower floor is great for continuing conversations or TV watching when others have retired upstairs to bed. The backyard is beautiful and has a large patio with table, chairs and seating areas. It was cold so we didn't spend time outdoors; I hope to return one day in nicer weather. Both the house and the backyard are well decorated; it has an old world European feel. If you enjoy antiques and ornaments, this is the place for you. There are pieces representing many different parts of the world. Mary Lou also decorated the house for Christmas! We were responsible for providing some key dishes for our Thanksgiving dinner and the kitchen had the space and every tool needed. It was great to be able to cook at Mary Lou's and take our sides and desserts to our full family dinner. Communication with Mary Lou is very easy and she responds quickly. She gave great restaurant recommendations. There is a welcome book with lots of good information regarding the operation of the house, restaurants and places to see.

Beautiful home

The home was lovely. Everything was clean and comfortable and well equipped. The back patio and gardens were serene. Everything was as advertised. Owners were responsive and easy to work with. Good location for getting in and out of the city. Would recommend.

Pittsburgh treasure

Our family of 5 had a wonderful vacation in Pittsburgh. This home had plenty of space for all of us and the back patio and landscaping were just beautiful. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked with everything we needed. The property owner was so easy to communicate with and helpful with suggestions. We highly recommend this rental and would return again if in the area!

Baseball Vacation

My two teenagers and I stayed here during the CAP Classic. It was perfect. Easy access. Quiet. Clean. Safe. Mar Lou is an incredible and kind host. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Very well stocked place!

Was a great vrbo. Everything as advertised. Close to city. Well stocked with coffee pastries (thanks for those!), drinks, linens. We could have used another bed or blow up mattress but one of the kids slept on the couch. Host was great. And weather was spectacular! Great weekend to enjoy the beautiful back yard.

Wonderful home

Mary Lou's home is beautifully decorated and was perfect for my husband and I, and our 2 adult children and their spouses. The beds were very comfortable and there are 3 full bathrooms. Hotand powerful showers started the day off right. The patio and garden are just gorgeous and private. We spent a morning having breakfast, chatting and enjoying the ambiance. Unfortunately, the weather didn't co-operate or we'd have spent every morning there. The living room is also a great place to hang out as a group. One evening, we enjoyed lounging on the large living room sectional and watching a movie together. The host, Mary Lou is lovely, and communicates promptly. She kindly left us some snacks, and has honestly thought of every possible convenience. We hope her home is available the next time we come to Pittsburgh as a family. This is definitely where we would want to stay. In fact, it's on our short list of our very favorite rentals.

Great Location

The house and host are amazing. Getting into the city is easy and quick to go any way you want to go. It is such a cozy home. If you get the chance it is a great place to stay. My wife and kids just wanted to hang at the house. Awesome experience all the way around.

Worth recommending

This place is like being home away from home. I love Iive indoor plants. And this house has them, well taken care of too. This home is homey and very clean. It’s not for people with knee problem though because of the numerous stairs. We’re just glad there’s railings. Thank you Mary Lou for the wonderful accommodations.

We loved every moment of our stay!

What a clean and cute place. Great communication from the host (Mary Lou), flowers waiting for us on the counter as we arrived...just a wonderful and cozy place to stay. We could have hung out in the back yard for hours - we watched the hummingbirds every morning and evening and spent as much time out back as the weather and visiting family allowed. Clean (clean!) place with a newer feel and nicely redone, great kitchen for cooks, 3 full bathrooms, super comfy beds and bedding, easy tv and wifi with lots of options, friendly and responsive host - what more could we ask for!! We grew to love this place more and more every day we stayed there. One note - lots of nice collectibles throughout the house - if I had smaller kids who were on the go, this house would have been less relaxing for me :). My 10 year old twins were fine there and loved the house as much as we did! Thank you, Mary Lou - one of our best Pittsburgh VRBOs yet...and we've stayed in quite a few there. We will definitely look for your place first next time we're coming through town.

10 STAR! 5 friends reuniting, EVERYTHING you need & then some! But the veranda is the gem!!!

Would give 10 stars if we could!!! Absolutely the BEST!!! Travel a lot & by far this is the finest ever! If you're going to the 'burgh this should definitely be on your top 10 with the Incline, Station Square, Strip District, pierogis, etc. House is great..the veranda is heaven!! Mary Lou is so easy to work with..absolutely nothing to want for there except more time to spend there!! We did not want to leave!! (actually one day we never left! sat on patio all day enjoying the hillside nature!) Don't hesitate, just book it!!!

Great home

Very clean comfy home. We came as part of a baseball stadium tour and pnc park was easy to get to from here. Thanks to the hosts suggestion- we took a ferry to the game- easy peasy! Great restaurants nearby. Comfy mattresses in the home. Our family enjoyed our stay!

Visit to Pittsburgh

My husband and I and two other couples decided that we wanted to visit Pittsburgh. We searched VRBO for a house to rent and discovered the perfect property for our stay. The house was beautiful, spotless, very comfortable. Every amenity was available to us. We especially enjoyed sitting outside in the beautiful patio area. Our host was more than helpful to us during our stay. The location to downtown Pittsburgh was key. Only 7-10 minutes away, depending on where you were going. Great house, great location!

We loved our stay at this property! Everything was in great working order, very clean, everything we needed was there. The place is also very conveniently located, close to the city. Pittsburgh reunion

Located in residential area south of downtown very accessible to downtown and Oakland areas by car. For those unfamiliar with Pittsburgh GPS navigation a MUST. Most any destination you would want is under 20 minutes away. Nearby food and restaurants were 10 to 15 minutes away. Could not walk to any of them. House itself was well supplied with soaps. Plastic trash bags kitchens equipment etc. bathrooms all modern . Beds comfortable. Decor strongly reflects owner’s proclivity to accumulate interesting items. Met our needs 100%.

For over 32 wonderful years, I lived in Fortaleza in the State of Ceara, Brazil. While there, fifteen + years were spent as a restaurant entrepreneur togrther with a business partner. We owned two restaurants: Cafe Matisse and Le Pot. Portuguese is my second language. Now fast forward...for about 18 years, I worked as a real estate agent & am now retired. Hobbies include: cooking, E-biking with my hubby, international travel, cruising, visiting our grown "kids" & now...camping & exploring new adventures in our Black Series HQ21 rig! There's never a dull moment!!

This is our own "Home Sweet Home". Our neighborhood is great! We benefit from taking walks or getting a bite down on the boulevard at one of the eateries.
We are both retired and enjoying life.
Thus, we decided to open our home for guests to enjoy, make memories & explore the "Burgh!" We love our space. There's still some future projects that we look forward to completing.. My husband & I anticipate that our guests will be respectful & tidy. One of our favorite pastimes is enjoying coffee, meals or a glass of wine on our flagstone patio. You'll see different birds & new flowers debut each day! The larger bird houses usually have "renters", small Wrens returning to raise their young.
You'll notice whimsical painted artifacts throughout the garden painted by my husband. His favorite passtime is working the garden & getting his hands dirty! Hummingbirds enjoy their feeders. If you'd like, you can make the homemade simple syrup recipe: mix 1 C white sugar to 4 C water in sauce pan. Let simmer, completely cool to fill feeders. Hummingbirds will appreciate it!! The propane grill is older but still does a lovely job grilling steaks to burgers, pizza, etc. Two out of the 3 burners work. Hubby is waiting for repair parts. Visit Moore's Park where you'll find tennis, basketball & pickleball courts, a renovated public pool & sprinklers for kiddos. The bus stop for downtown is located about 50 steps from the house if needed. Brookline Boulevard offers: CVS Pharmacy, nail salon, bakeries, men's hair salon, gas station, 1st Community Bank, Cafes, Carnegie Public Library, Pitaland, & shops, etc. At Pitaland, you can savor a delicious Gyro, Baklava, etc. Take time to go down to the Boulevard. Gotta love it!
