River Rambler

Peaceful bay front home with dock. Lovely west facing deck warmed by lots of sunshine. Clean and updated with stylish decor. The five person hot tub is set up in the third bay for the garage (unheated) for year round use.

We are on the Richmond Bay side of the Black River. These areas connect by boat with the Mississippi River to the north and west. The location is convenient to downtown La Crosse (just 5 minutes) as well as the interstate (again 5 minutes). The neighborhood is quite friendly with people out walking and visiting with one and other.

The bedrooms are tucked away at one end while the kitchen and living areas are at the other. All the amenities you need for the perfect vacation!

This location is the perfect late spring summer get away. Great for worm fishing for the young ones. The kayaks were awesome. The host is very available for answering questions. Neighborhood is beautiful for walks and the location is in the center of all things. Good for downtown, onalaska and la crosse. Enjoy your stay.

Very beautiful and comfortable! Beds are comfy. Living room has lots of seating, beautiful couch, lots of shows to watch. Hot tub was a little chilly, bit it worked due to the heat! So much to do in the area. We had a great time. Beach is very close. Thank you for offering such an amazing setting for people! We hope to come back next year!

Lovely getaway for my sisters, our mom and me!

We had a great time at the River Rambler! It had close proximity to everything that we needed, including great restaurants, a starbucks and the downtown! It was a very relaxing and enjoyable time..

Great Property!

We had a very enjoyable stay. Everything was exactly as described. The house was very nicely decorated and clean, the beds super comfortable, and Jami was a great communicator. If I’m ever in need of a place to stay in La Crosse I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful stay on the water

We loved the house and all the amenities. Jami was a fantastic host and Nikki the Cat provided us with endless entertainment with her attempts to join us! We would absolutely stay again if given the opportunity.

Small Bachelor Party Weekend

Perfect location for a few guys to get together for a low key weekend in La Crosse. Loved being on the river and able to enjoy nature and kayaking straight from the backyard. Quick drive to downtown for bars and restaurants as well. Everything was expected from the online booking.

Inviting

My sisters and cousins (6 total) stayed at the property comfortably. The host was very nice and easy to work with. The kitchen was well stocked and the linens were nice. We did enjoy the hot tub and the back deck. However, we were not able to take advantage of the kayaks and water access. We all loved the decor and the layout as there were private places to have conversations without disturbing those who wanted to watch the television. It was in a pleasant and quiet neighborhood with an easy short ride to the downtown area. The checkout process was very simple. It was nice to have use of the garage.

This property was perfect. I have been coming to the part of Wisconsin for 40 years. The last 6 years we stayed at the hotel across from the river but their rates continue to go up and it didn't meet our needs as well as this house. The host were very nice and easy to work with. We will definitely stay here again. The house was very clean and we had everything we needed. We fish when we are here and the house is right on the river .

Great place to stay on the slough connected to the Mississippi. Plenty of fish right off the dock. Bluegill sheep head catfish northern pike rock bass crappie large mouth bass needle nose gar and a 3 foot long alligator snapping turtle who was better fishing than us. Place has a hot tub which was nice after fishing all day and really comfy beds. Plenty of great places to eat and Moxies on Rose Street has live music. Also if you want really good fish fry Red Pines in Lake Onalaska has fantastic food perch and walleye dinners burgers pizza and tavern food. Definitely recommend a trip here with family and friends.
