"Casa de Maíz" is a quaint home close to New Mexico State University, the Las Cruces Convention Center, and has access to downtown and Historic Mesilla. The home is in a quiet neighborhood close to a park where you can take your children or your dog(s). The home is a perfect stop on a cross-country trip or a place for temporary housing. The sunsets from the backyard are breathtaking. You will be inspired to go hiking while viewing the Organ Mountains from the front yard.
The space
The neighborhood is within walking and short driving distance to restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping. Inside the entry of the house are maps and brochures of local hot spots.
Guest access
The entire house and front and back yards and patios are accessible to guests. Parking is in front of the house.
Other things to note
House has easy access to Interstates 10 (east /west corridor) and 25 going north towards Albuquerque.

perfect place for down time

very clean, spacious, well decorated and stocked. lots of instructions on how things worked. only thing is there wasn't much for tv. a few local channels. couldn't get apple tv to work.

Girls’ Weekend

This was the perfect place for our girls’ weekend to celebrate the arrival of a baby girl. My best friend and I have been friends for over 40 years and have raised our kids together and now they are having babies and it is wonderful to be able to spend time together. This home facilitated the making of great memories.

Perfect house

This is my second time staying at this house. It’s very cute, feels like you’re at home. We come to Las Cruses to visit our kid who’s in college. The location of this house is great. Very close to nmsu college. Highly recommend this house.

Clean and comfortable

Cute Place

Kitchen was a bit sparsely stocked on cooking pans but we made it work. The house was cute and the location is centrally located and very convenient.

Very lovely home!

The property is a beautiful home. Very comfortable. We all enjoyed our stay. The rooms are spacious, there was plenty of room for all 4 of us. It’s in a very good location, we all felt safe. Our host Gail was amazing. She was super nice and answered my question promptly. Will rent again if available in the future.

Lovely home

Casa de Maíz is a gem! It was the perfect place to stay while our new house was being completed. Thoughtful hosts provided every single thing for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend this great place.

Excellent location

This property was great! We were close to charming Mesilla & good restaurants. We took a trip to White Sands National Park. I would totally stay here again.

Fantastic Stay!

We enjoyed our stay at this place. We did a college tour with friends and Casa de Maiz was located very close to NMSU. GG, our hostess, communicated with us quickly and added a very nice special touch to our weekend. The house is well stocked, clean and comfortable. There are plenty of places nearby to shop. It is a quiet neighborhood and easy to get to. Check out was easier than most places. We will stay here again and highly recommend it. Thanks GG for making it so awesome!

Cheer competition

GG called in great communication. She will explain everything to you. Neighborhood was excellent, home was very clean. 3 bedrooms 2 baths. Had laundry room. Kitchen appliances you needed, great stay close to Pan American center. Restaurants close by. Definitely recommend staying here. Thanks again GG until next year.

It's all about the details...

Plenty of nice things to say about listing and how it lives up to it's description. Location, cleanliness, check-in, amenities, all 5 stars. Some stuff not in the listing that is massively underrated are a well detailed binder for your stay, labels everywhere, even labels telling you where to find what you are looking for if it's not where you expect, solid communication, and and a treat left for us upon checkin. It was a great experience and very solid value for the price. Highly recommend it!

Absolutely wonderful property!

This property was perfect for our needs. It was in great shape. Very clean and had whatever you could possible want - including several different coffee makers to make sure you had the type you wanted. The yard was fully fenced for our dogs and it was nice to sit out back on the porch area. There are a couple of wonderful little reading areas in the main bedroom (which is huge!) and the living room with super comfortable chairs and nice lighting. Honestly Gale and Tom thought of everything in outfitting this great place. It is definitely like a home away from home and I can't recommend it highly enough. We will definitely ask for it again if we are in Las Cruces.

This property is in a great location, in a safe neighborhood less than a mile from New Mexico State University. It is centrally located and has two small parks a block away from the entry of the neighborhood. There is quick access to restaurants, stores, and downtown.
