Mountain View Villa - Making Memories

Welcome to Mountain View Villa, a stunning 5-bedroom, 3-bathroom vacation rental that will appeal to anyone wishing to spend a peaceful and relaxing stay in one of the few remaining undiscovered mountain towns in Colorado. This lovely home features high ceilings and an open concept floor plan, with two bedrooms on one end of the house and the other three bedrooms on the other …. Which translates to plenty of room for everyone to spread out, with room to come together to socialize and create lasting memories. This is a unique custom home with many upgrades and captivating views of Mt. Princeton.

From bedding to linens, to the comfortable leather sofa and oversized tv, everything was thoughtfully chosen by the owner with guest comfort in mind.

The first bedroom has a king bed with an ensuite bathroom for maximum privacy. The other three bedrooms have queen beds as well as a fifth bedroom with a dedicated workspace and a single bed with a trundle to accommodate any additional guests. Enjoy the luxurious surroundings afforded by this beautiful home which is located within a few minutes of downtown by foot or car, but far enough away that it is in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood.

The lovely outdoor backyard space is fenced for privacy, yet spacious for dining at the patio table, relaxing on the outdoor furniture, or grilling on the gas BBQ. You can look forward to enjoying quiet mornings on the back patio. According to singer/songwriter Alan Jackson, front porch sit’n is a requirement for everyone, which is why we have a full set of patio furniture on the front porch also for those who want to relax and watch the rest of the world roll on by.

This home is stunning and sits apart from all other vacation rentals in Buena Vista so book today before someone else beats you to it.

We have two outdoor security cameras on this home. One above the front door and one above the garage. There are no cameras inside or in the back yard. If you have questions about the cameras, please ask.

The home was just as advertised in the listing. Comfortable living spaces, and loved the outdoor furniture . It was a great space for my extended family! Walk to the coffee shop was a nice morning activity to get us going. Quiet neighborhood and very close to restaurants and shops. Short drive to Salida as well.

Our host Renee was Awesome! I give her 5 stars. She was and is a premier host. However the description of the amities provided by the owner were vague. There is no hot tub, this reference is a jetted bathtub in the master bathroom. The other thing I had issue with was there was no air conditioning. I rented it in August and the temperature were still in the 80’ 90’ during the day. It does get cool at night but the house holds the heat until 2 or 3 in the morning with all the windows open. They do provide fans. Other than that the house accommodated us well. I highly recommend this place for its proximity to the shops and restaurants and the spectacular scenery in the surrounding area. But rent it in the fall through the spring unless you like the heat.

Perfect place for our needs

This house was spotless! It is super well arranged and very nicely appointed & furnished. It’s in a newer neighborhood, yet close to all the downtown fun. We had 10 total for our 4 day/3 night stay. They even had extra keys for us:)

Disappointment led to anger

There were only two search criteria for finding our girls’ annual getaway in Buena Vista, CO, number of beds and a hot tub. When we arrived at the property there was no hot tub. Two of my friends pulled up the property listing and confirmed that hot tub was clearly on the amenities list. I called the property manager, the call “dropped” and she never returned my call. I subsequently had several conversations with the property manager and was told there was never a hot tub listed and she forwarded screenshots of the property listing that now said, “spa tub”. I next received a text thread [I was inadvertently included] between the property manager and VRBO tech support re the “hot tub glitch”. This property was booked through a local management company but I later learned was also listed by VRBO and several other agencies. I have spoken multiple times with VRBO representatives, none of which have been able to reach the owner. I was told I needed to have contacted them within 24 hours to report the issue. I could not have known that since it was booked through a different agency. I asked the third VRBO agent to let me speak with a supervisor and he refused, stating he already gave me the correct information. So, disappointment has turned to anger and frustration. It is not fun being lied to and given the runaround.

The property fit our groups needs perfectly!! Plenty of space and bedrooms, very workable kitchen & nice deck furnishings to hang out and enjoy in the evening. Great property for group to socialize. Extremely clean with many amenities provided, and everything was in working order. Clear & concise instructions as to Hosts expectations of the renter.

Magnificent Stay on Marquette!

The house was conveniently located to downtown Buena Vista so we could pop in between all the activities the area has to offer. It was one mile down to our favorite spot on the river! The house was clean and spacious to comfortably house the ten of us. We would highly recommend this place; Renee was great to work with!
